From the first Brooklyn location they expanded to New Jersey, throughout New York, and across the northeast. It has since grown into a major international grocery chain specializing in Eastern European, Russian, and Eurasian goods with over 45,000 products. I recently had the opportunity to visit this NetCost Market in the Oakwood Plaza in Hollywood, Florida. If you join the free NetCost market Club you can unlock special deals and discounts. I was impressed with how bright and spotless this store is. Everywhere I looked there was someone cleaning, sweeping, and straightening. NetCost has the typical pantry staples you would expect to find but I was drawn to the colorful produce section with unexpected finds like mandarin oranges wit the stems and leaves for $2.49 a pound and dainty little lady apples for $3.99 a pound. Throughout the store their dumpling fest was being advertised for $3.49 a pound. The bakery and hot prepared foods department looked enticing, especially the cabbage rolls. It was nice to see some many foods from my Polish ancestry represented. In the front of the store is a coffee shop with a seating area and more delectable pastries for sale. I love exploring world markets and this was one of the cleanest and nicest I have come across. If I lived local i would be a regular shopper, especially on nights when I don't feel like cooking dinner. The Hollywood community is lucky to have such a great food shopping resource.

The sauce was super strong this time and I didn't dare heat this up at work. The crab salad was off the charts. I could easily be addicted to this stuff. The crab is finely shredded and mixed with spicy mayo. The result is amazing! The clams were good and a nice addition to my lunch. I have never seen cooked clams at a market before but it was fun trying something new. I would get them again in the future. They were really affordable. Since they were already cooked, that meant no mess in the kitchen for me. I bought a huge Fugi apple before leaving and it was the size of two regular apples. It was super crispy and sweet. I will be picking up more of these apples along with more crab salad and a bag of my favorite short grain brown rice when I return. It's nice to know that this store is so close to the beach.

It's a business, and answering basic questions is literally the minimum requirement. We closed on our home faster than expected and arrived right in South Florida before Christmas. We weren't looking for a field trip or a guessing game, we needed catered food because cooking wasn't happening. Either you offer it or you don't. If you can't say that over the phone, you shouldn't be answering it. It might be time to ditch that outdated, cold, Eastern-European-style "act annoyed and make the customer work for it" service model and join the modern world, where being friendly and helpful is the baseline. We'll take our personal and business purchases to Doris Supermarket from now on, where customer service doesn't feel like an inconvenience and people actually understand why phones exist.

I picked up a loaf of bread, but the plastic tie that sealed it slipped off. I held the bread, looked at it, and decided I had every right not to buy it if I didn't want to. I put it back on the shelf. At the register, the employee accused me in a very arrogant tone, saying she saw what I did, that I wasn't going to buy it, and because of that, I wasn't allowed to buy anything else there. She took all the products I had purchased, and I left extremely frustrated. I don't care about shopping there again, but it's not normal to be treated like that, just because a tag slipped off.
