I tried once and paid $140 for the X-ray of one tooth and the checkup of the dentist. Then the dentist told me I should go to a clinic that has an emergency dentist. My salary is not even enough for my rent, so I found this UofT dentistry that's cheaper than the regular dental clinic. I was very open about my health condition from the moment I inquired over the phone. Scheduled me for an X-ray ($90.00). Then for the checkup, I paid $60. You know if you are not earning enough, this is a big loss of money. After x-rays (I thought it was going to be the panoramic x-ray), I had mouth sores, which lasted for about 2 weeks; it was painful...stretching your mouth without at least petroleum jelly on my lips. Anyway, I just want to get my teeth fixed; it's really painful already. Then, I received a letter from them that I am not qualified because of my complex medical history, which I told them from day one. So I felt I paid them to study my mouth?! So disappointed. I wrote to them that they should have told me even after the x-rays.

On my surprise the door of clinic closed. No timetable or any message on the door except advice about construction on Broadview. So pity I could not post pictures on this review because is funny 9.01 am I receive a message from 1 (807)700 6481 Hi Arjana, remainder of appt today at 9.00 am. Just for info that was the third message to get that week related to my appt for my too Thinking that a little bit of late - it happens to any human. 8.06 I start to call 1(888) 759 1286 it took 12 min that a human pick up my call (thank you)- I was still at the front door of Dawson dental under rain. The 1 (800) lady tried very hard to connect with the Office manager because according to website office should be open. She pot me on hold for a couple of minutes and on 8.22 am she advises me to leave for my home because the office will not be open Saturday Dec 23, 2023. I inform 1 800 ladies that Dawson Dental never to connect with me ever. Not their patient. Dec. 23, 2023 appointment was their hygienist request not mine. I show in appointment - not that I do not get inform that appointment was cancelled from their part but even in the office door there was no note - that office is closed for that or this reason. Why I need to be in the rain 22 min? 9.532 Ms. Barazami calls to apologize. She declared that is the Dawson Regional Manager - trying to explain that my appt had fallen thru cracks & power outage etc - and Dawson is very professional and do not operate like that. She asked me if I understood what she was telling me without any remorse in her voice. I repeat to her like the 1 (800) lady do not contact me again and I was convinced she was not Regional Manager. Wednesday Dec 27, 2023, Hygienist from Dawson Dental calls me 9.48 am very happy to schedule me for another appointment - because the clinic was closed on Saturday. Informed her not anymore, their patient. Dr Pulec was running clinic when I first visited that establishment - amazing service. Since Dawson took over that location - things are not as before. I do not need to much assistance with my teeth - I accept any hygienist available. Not satisfied with office assistant staff - some time they chat and forget to ask if you have an insurance or not - and charge insurances - when you tell them that you will pay with Visa. Assistants take sweet time (talking to each other) instead of providing you the bill you after tooth cleaning. Probably they are part of union because when I inform them, I will inform the office manager about their behavior - answer was "Please do that". I hope this review will help Dawson Dental Corporation to improve their service. I would had placed 0 stars if it was possible. 14 min to pick up 1 800 # and Lady of 1 (800) 6 min try to contact Office Manager haha on time of smartphones.

Maybe because of my last three surgeries in two years has affected my breathing, more mouth breathing vs nasal breathing. Dr. Goodman showed me how to swallow while smiling. I said this will be fun eating at restaurants! She laughed and said: no it's an exercise!! Haha!! We all laughed! Check ups are important. And the lovely Sandra at reception will be more than happy to book you in! 38 years I've been coming here. Dr. Goodman said: you have good teeth, they'll outlast you! I said: it's all your handy work. And my mom had good benefits at the bank when I was a kid! I hope Dr. Goodman never retires! Keep working part-time!

She told me that I needed a crown. I asked Neda, the receptionist to send a request to my insurance company for a predetermination. After waiting almost three weeks I called the insurance company and they said there was no request submitted. I called Neda and asked her to do it which she finally did but she offered no apology for her mistake. I am very disappointed with the treatment I received this time at Dr. Goodman's office. I shall no longer return to her practice.

A dentist from another practice quoted several thousand saying I needed a root canal and implant. Dr Sangjoon Yeo said he couldn't be certain if a large filling would correct the issue, but we could try. The process was quick and covered by insurance. That was in 2020. My tooth is still perfect to this day. In 2021 I chipped my left canine tooth. I was provided a speedy appointment with Dr Sangjoon Yeo. He patched the chip quickly and again it was covered by insurance. There is no visual difference between my right and left canine tooth. Dr Sangjoon Yeo does beautiful and honest work. His office is located on a trendy downtown street; the office has a high-end appeal. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would travel a great distance for Dr Sangjoon Yeo's skillful and trustworthy work.

If you're considering this clinic, I would strongly encourage you to ask questions before agreeing…read moreto treatment. TL;DR: Repeated pressure tactics, misleading information about treatment coverage, and zero accountability afterward. I ultimately lost trust in this clinic and would not recommend it. I was a patient here for a few years. Early on, I saw a hygienist named Helen every six months. At every appointment, I was repeatedly told that my teeth were "very dirty" and that I needed cleanings more frequently. Despite brushing and flossing twice a day and being borderline obsessed about oral hygiene, I was convinced to start coming every four months, which meant paying roughly $200 out of pocket for the additional visits not covered by the insurance. Later, other hygienists told me my teeth were completely fine and that every six months was more than sufficient. I stayed because I liked my dentist at the time, and the other hygienists were nice. However, I was switched to a different dentist shortly after, and my experience changed. I had a fully exposed wisdom tooth that was not causing pain, cavities, or any issues. The dentist repeatedly pushed for extraction at nearly every visit, despite me expressing hesitation. He stated that the wisdom tooth was posing risks for cavities, but two other dentists I know also looked at the tooth and told me there was no urgency to remove it. Eventually, I agreed because I trusted the professional advice I was being given. What happened afterward completely destroyed my trust in the clinic. Before the procedure, I asked twice, on different days, whether the treatment would be fully covered. I was verbally assured both times that it would be. The receptionist was also pushing me to book the procedure quickly before insurance estimates had been finalized. I later found out that the information I was given was incorrect and ended up paying $263 out of pocket. When I raised concerns about the miscommunication, the clinic refused to acknowledge any possibility that incorrect information had been given verbally and instead placed the blame entirely on me for rashly proceeding with treatment. What disappointed me most was not the amount itself, but the complete lack of accountability and customer service afterward. During two weeks of back-and-forth communication, there was no sign of apology or care, no acknowledgement of the misunderstanding, and zero willingness to take responsibility for what had happened. Taken together, these experiences left me with the impression that the clinic uses pressure tactics and prioritizes upselling treatment over honest communication and patient trust.

If you're looking for a dental clinic that will take care of you and your teeth, look no further…read morethan Altas Dental clinic. I walked in with a terrible toothache due to a bad tooth filling. Dr Nguy was able to identify the problem right away and start treatment immediately. As someone who has had bad experiences with dental procedures in the past, I was amazed at how comfortable I felt during my time at this clinic. Dr Nguy is great at explaining everything that's happening and making sure you're comfortable every step of the way. Even the dreaded freezing injection didn't hurt at all. I've had several procedures done here, including a root canal with a dental crown, tooth filling, and a tooth extraction, and each one was handled with care and expertise. Even the teeth cleaning went smoothly, despite my terrible gum condition. In the past, I had a bad experience with a teeth cleaning that required my entire mouth to be frozen, but Dr Nguy was able to handle it with ease. Thanks to this clinic, my fear of dental procedures is almost gone. Overall, I highly recommend Dr Nguy and his team for all your dental needs.
