Kim is such an incredible realtor and knew I could trust her every step of the way through our journey of selling our home and buy another. She is such a knowledeable guide, an amazing resource, and an understanding person. This whole journey of selling or home and buying another was such an emotional process for us - yet she always took every one of our curveballs with stride, reassured us through the bumps, and had our best interest at heart. Not only did Kim go above and beyond for us but she also had amazing recs from staging to landscaping. I worked with Kim in late 2025/early 2026 to buy our second house in West Torrance and sell our townhouse in Gardena. This was my second time working with Kim (she helped us buy the first house back in 2018) and she continues to be great! Always responsive to our questions and helped guide us through every step of the process. Gave us some very helpful guidance on pricing and staging of the old house that helped it sell way faster than we expected and faster than another similar unit in the same HOA (and for a higher price). Highly recommended! read more

Kim recently listed my property in Manhattan Beach and on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I'd give her a 100. She was simply outstanding. I have bought and sold properties and I am a realtor myself, so I have worked and dealt with a lot of realtors. Kim is hands down the best realtor I have ever dealt with. She showed up to our first meeting incredibly well prepared and knowledgeable. She had researched all the different issues, including the difficult ones, she had spoken to architects, developers, appraisers, etc, and was so well prepared that I don't think it was possible to be any more prepared than she was. She was calm, professional, analytical, decisive, and responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I wish I could use her in all of my future real estate dealings! read more

Working with Kim was the best decision my family made during our move to the South Bay. Relocating from out of state is a huge undertaking, but she acted as our eyes and ears on the ground. She hopped on FaceTime for every inspection and walkthrough, making us feel like we were right there with her. What really sets her apart is the support she provides after the deal is closed. She hooked us up with fantastic recommendations for tradesmen and local services (and restaurants!), which made our transition so much easier. Going through the experience of buying a home is a roller-coaster and stressful event.  After searching for the right agent we were blessed with finding Kim Doner from COMPASS. With her knowledge and years of experience, we felt confident and equipped to make those difficult decisions. To top it off, Kim's genuine character made us feel as if we had known each other for years! She truly understood our needs and worked around the clock to ensure we reached our goal of finding our home.  Buying a home in a very competitive market requires that you contract with a well seasoned agent.  We needed a lot of hand holding through this process and addressed it with Kim, she made us feel comfortable and assured us that she would do her best.  We reached out to her for a recommendation on a loan officer, we selected one from the list that she provided and that she had worked with previously.  Our first loan officer didn't compliment our needs and back to the list we went and made contact with Eric Kari from Kinecta, this was our guy.  We realized that we were assembling an All Star team so that we may have the best chance in acquiring our home.   As our story goes....Our home buying journey took approximately 2 years, which is good, as we learned our wants, our needs and our budget.  No such thing as budget when you're buying a home, more like "wow..... WE like that one.... we are placing an offer on that one!"  Kim, settled us back to earth with comps in the areas and gave us her expert advice but always allowed us to lead the way.   We requested to view several homes and even during her family vacation, time away from work, she was working with us over the phone and making sure that we had access and a chance to see our prospective home.  She definitely had a firm grip on that "hand holding", as she promised.  Our 2 year search for a home ended in August, as we acquired our home in the South Bay thanks to our All Star team that we assembled.  She was on top of us and the seller to make sure this deal was favorable to both us and the seller..... (but more on our side ..wink wink) Being in the business and top agent at Compass, she is well respected and well connected with brokers, inspectors and contractors.  Anytime we needed someone, her reply was "let me know if you need someone I can refer a few people". Looking for the right person to guide you through one of the most important milestones in life requires that you truly become BFF's.  In many cases, once you have acquired your new home the agent rides into the sunset and on to the next deal and to make more money.  Well, NOT HERE....  to be continued... read more

Selling your home comes with a-lot of emotions. It naturally becomes a stressful situation. We put our trust and faith in Kimberly because she came strongly recommended by a close friend. Wow, so many positive things to say about Kim not sure where to start. First and foremost, if you're looking for an agent (presumably that's why you're reading reviews) do your self a favor and contact Kim, you won't be sorry as she's as warm and responsive as can be. It's a seller's market so we knew we could sell our townhome in Old Torrance no problem. What we didn't know until we met with Kim was the top dollar it was going to bring in with her expertise. Kim has a great pulse on the market but an even better eye for guiding clients on which upgrades you should make to maximize your return on investment (ROI). If she wasn't an agent I'm sure she'd make a great interior decorator. It was truly a pleasure working with Kim as she laid out all her ideas on where we should update the unit all the meanwhile being very conscience of making sure every dollar out of our pockets would come back exponentially in the sale price. Best of all, she took care of everything with her contractors start to finish and we didn't need to lift a finger. Kim showed us the comps and where we should list our townhome at so it would be competitive and bring in the demand and boy was she right. Once we hit the market we received multiple offers over asking in less than a week and Kim was able to negotiate the best price for us to sell which was certainly well beyond what we thought it would go for and we truly believe it was because we took Kim's suggestions on the upgrades and staging. Her photographer did an amazing job with the pictures and virtual walkthrough as well. Overall, we couldn't have found a better agent to work with in selling our townhome. Kim felt like more of a partner than agent in the deal to us, as she always made sure we were happy with everything at each step in the process and decisions were always made together while we ultimately made the final call. Best of all and i cannot stress this enough, Kim made us feel like we were her top priority the entire time even though we know she had multiple other clients she was also tending to and our home value was on the lower end of her transactions. The amount of time and effort she put in for us made us really feel special making what can be a stressful time quite a joy. We feel like we found an agent/partner/friend for life in Kim. We hope you give Kim a chance and are confident you will feel the same way. read more

Kim Doner is the absolute best -- A true five star gem! Hands down, from start to finish, Kim provided the single best customer service experience I have ever received, in any profession. As a first time home seller, I was terrified of the real estate process. Yet Kim sold my duplex when 1) I didn't live in the city, 2) during a pandemic, 3) and while it was tenant occupied. Her team painted, repaired, mended, scheduled, and dealt with city regulations on my behalf. She coordinated everything with escrow, walked me through the disclosure process, and always stayed positive. I just got to relax. Not only that, but she also helped coordinated all inspections, appraisals, viewings, and city visits with both sets of tenants (duplex). I can't even begin to describe how relieving it feels to let a professional take this part on. If those were all of Kim's highlights, I'd still say she deserves more than 5 stars. But the truth is that she did more - she communicated almost daily with updates, gave advice, listened and acknowledged my needs, and made it happen. Ultimately the house sold for almost 80k more than I thought it would. I can't believe I even considered handling this myself at one point. I would work with Kim again in a heartbeat. Trust me. Just call her. In a few months, you'll be writing a review just like this! read more

Simultaneously, she strategically led and negotiated a home buying process where we were on the winning end of our dream home which had 8 offers. Kimberly Doner - Compass - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Torrance, California

I don't even know where to start. 10 Years ago, my husband found Kim and was interested in selling our home in Torrance to get off a busy street. She showed him countless other homes and he decided not to sell at that time. Kim had continued to show us homes throughout the last 10 years and never once pushed us. Earlier this year, my husband and I found a home we thought we loved and decided to let the listing agent of that house be our buyers agent so we could get an additional discount. I let Kim know and she showed such class. She let us know she was still here for us still with anything we needed. We knew inside the house we were going to buy wasn't right for us so we backed out and called Kim. She harbored no ill-will and GOT TO WORK. About 2 months ago, Kim found a house that checked all of our boxes for what our family needed. She quickly got our old house ready to sell and handled all the vendors and scheduling HERSELF. This took the burden off my husband and I and this was just what we needed. All in all, Kim got us NINE OFFERS over asking. NINE. It closed 7 days after the house that we purchased. Kim's timeline for not having us pay two mortgages and getting us out of our old house couldn't have turned out better. She had a plan and NAILED it. Oh, and her assistant Lauren? She can be as professional as needed, show up at any time needed for vendors, give great recommendations and even play hide and seek with my toddlers when they start to loose their mind with all this Real Estate stuff. She, too, wears many hats. We will forever live in our dream house... thanks to Kim Doner! read more

We first spoke with Kim a few years ago and she was very professional and helpful. When we started our search for a new home, we thought of Kim and reached out to her once again. If we could dream up an ideal realtor who checks off all the boxes for us, she is the one! 1. She is so knowledgeable about the market. We felt so confident knowing that we had Kim on our team and we felt like we would definitely get our dream home. 2. She is very responsive. My husband and I both appreciate professionalism and she is top notch. She not only responds quickly but will go above and beyond with more information. Responding to texts or writing an offer and hashing out details can be time sensitive and the difference between getting the house or not- and Kim is an expert! She might be working 24 hours a day, or has a clone- because how could anyone be this amazing?? She also helped us rent our first home. She helped us with the process and offered valuable advice all along the way! Lauren was also wonderful and such a great resource! Searching for a home goes beyond just the search. It felt like the search is the start and writing an offer and going through escrow is level 2. We are so lucky we got to work with Kim and got our dream home! We couldn't be happier and still can't believe how painless the whole process was during such a competitive market. Thank you so much Kim and Lauren! You are simply the best! read more

My previous experience with real estate was a very poor advised purchase over 8 years ago that ended in a short sale. Having said that I have been very wary of the whole industry. I was referred to Kimberly about 6 years ago to help me find a rental in Redondo Beach. Kimberly went out of her way to show me the property that would only be a rental. A few years later she helped me purchase a condo in Torrance. She made the process seamless and efficient. 3 years later we needed to sell this condo, and Kimberly again stepped up to help us. I was at a point in time where I did not have much time to spare, and she basically said to trust her and she would make it very easy for me. And that she did. She was patient and polite when I did not always respond in the timely manner. She made the process very simple for me and I put all my trust in her experience. With her professionalism and knowledge, I knew this would be a very manageable sale. We had multiple offers within a few days of putting the condo on the market and ultimately closed in 30 days way over the asking price. She is extremely organized, patient and always available for questions and clarification. In the right hands I have regained my faith in the real estate market. I will be using Kimberly soon to help me purchase a home for me and my family. I highly recommend Kimberly in any real estate transactions you may need. read more

Kim Doner has been representing my wife and I since 2015. Initially we were just keeping tabs on what's going on in the market.  After we were married in 2016 we became much more serious in finding a home and raising a family.  Kim always checked in to see how we were doing. She would advise us on things to consider when starting a family, advantages/disadvantages of different homes and share her honest feedback on places we were interested in. Her priority seemed to be making sure we would be happy in the long run. We bought a house with Kim's recommendation this year. Kim was always available, helped us every step of the way during the process and made it as painless as possible. She was constantly in contact with us and followed up to see how we were doing. She treated us more like a good friend than just an agent/client relationship. She gave us great recommendations on different resources we can work with during and after closing of escrow which has been extremely helpful. She is still reaching out and in contact with us even after close of the sale and making sure we are doing ok and happy. We have seen multiple properties which she was representing the seller. They would have an excellent presentation and attract a ton of potential buyers. Also, Kim's knowledge of the South Bay market is unrivaled. We have always been treated with respect and kindness by Kim and her assistant Lauren. We would not hesitate to work with them again for any future house endeavors. read more

When my wife and I decided to buy our first home, we interviewed several agents in the South Bay and were so impressed with Kim. Highly personable, extremely knowledgeable on the South Bay, and a great process guide, Kim made the purchase process extremely smooth and enjoyable for us. Kim started by asking what WE wanted in our first home (honestly, this is more rare than you think - most agents tell you what you should want without listening to you) and armed with that information, she guided us on the best locations in the South Bay to begin our search. But Kim's real value kicks in after your offer is accepted. Her deep knowledge for the home buying process and her responsiveness to our questions put us completely at ease throughout 'escrow'. In addition, Kim's network of inspectors, handymen, and contractors helped us take care of all the necessary work needed on our new home before we moved in. And to top it off, after we closed, Kim and her assistant Lauren offered to help manage the work being done on the home (even offering to go to the home to let workers in!). Overall, great experience and highly recommend Kim to anyone looking in the South Bay. read more
