Her suggestion to respond directly to false accusations from other parent would likely escalate the conflict in situations like mine DARVO. The consultation ended abruptly when she said she had another call. This attorney may be better suited for uncomplicated co-parenting cases, but not for high-conflict or narcissistic dynamics. I would like to reiterate. The experiences that I had with this individual were not worth how much we paid. I would not recommend hiring this person for family court cases. We hired her for a family court case in 2024 that concluded in 2025. She showed up to our first day of court late. She was not well versed in our case. Her recommendation for the final decision of the case was not made after analyzing the evidence in its entirety. Even when I spoke to her on the phone after the case, she said she never looked at our evidence or the counterparts. A life decision was made based off her recommendation even though she looked at none of the evidence. Furthermore, I have posted my review on Avvo more than once and each time, after being approved by the website and their parties, it is taken down a week or so later. I want to first mention I started my divorce in Nov 2020. Due to pandemic delays my petition did not move forward as fast as I would have liked. My lawyer at the time did not give me straight answers or guided me regarding the process. I had two court dates and my lawyer could not attend the hearings to assist me. As a result, I lost precious time and money that I can never get back. Finally, in April 2022 I decided to work with Kim Law Group. I was immediately impressed with Caroline's work ethics. Most importantly, I wanted my case to be a priority for her. I wanted my lawyer to show up for me in court to help me get results. Caroline has filed all the necessary paperwork: RFOs, Discovery Requests, etc. We have not wasted time since she took my case. She is very clear regarding expectations and she takes my case seriously. I had a court date at the beginning of this month. Caroline exceeded all my expectations! She was ready, she knew all the details of my case and what I wanted to get out of the hearing. She had her notes up to date and when the judge asked her for specific details, she was able to provide, dates, times and name of the person whom she had spoken to regarding the issue. What a way to show up for her clients! The opposing lawyer could not refute any information Caroline provided the judge with because she had detailed notes about their conversations. The judge granted my bifurcation of marriage request. This was my first victory and I could not have done it without Caroline's help! This review for Caroline Kim and is long overdue. I contacted Ms. Kim in the middle of a very long divorce battle. After firing my original local attorney, Ms. Kim was highly recommended. I was taking a big chance because Ms. Kim was not a local attorney and she would be subjected to small city corruption as she was taking a chance of her own in having to face such corruption. When seeking new counsel, I required an attorney who was fair yet firm, so I knew Ms. Kim would be the perfect fit for my case. Ms. Kim sent out an email to the other counsel within days of initially speaking with me. She had reviewed quite a bit of information in a very short period of time and started working for me immediately. I was impressed with her knowledge of the case. It felt like she had been working for me the whole time. She did a lot of research to familiarize herself with the way my county court ran things. Although, my case should have been settled with ease, the opposing attorney and local judge had their own agendas. The opposing attorney (also the Pro-term City Mayor) was very difficult to get a hold of and had the judge in his pocket. Motion after motion that Ms. Kim would file, nothing went favorably to our side. I was ordered to pay an outrageous amount of child support and alimony plus attorney fees for my husband. However, she didn't stop fighting for me. Ms. Kim, is a SHARK!! She never gave up and continued to fight for me and for justice. After successfully excusing the corrupted judge from my case, (something that is unheard of in our county) our case was finally heard fairly. As my case has taken many turns due to a car accident I had early this year, I have been unable to pay my part of the attorney fees and even without payment, she has not blinked an eye at representing me and driving over 6 hours to appear in court. My case is still not over and with that being said, Ms. Kim is still fighting for me. It goes without saying; divorce cases are extremely emotional and very difficult. Ms. Kim has been able to keep me on track and temper my emotions through the entire proceedings. . She has been honest with me and always gives me the best advice.
