I cant really say enough about Ms. Melissa the schools director. She deserves the world. She quietly cares for our children and supports our family in ways that make the long days in these short years that much easier. I cant say enough about her and it reflects the teachers and all the staff that care for out children bc of her leadership and huge heart! When your child reaches pre-k you will find Ms. Crystal the best pre-k teacher you could ever imagine. I love them with all my heart and im grateful every day to have them as apart of our tribe! I want to start with the director, Jessica. Truly professional, personable, approachable very friendly, really knows how to work with parents and takes her position seriously. I am able to communicate with her and know that she listens even with my crazy mother complaints -she is always very attentive and addresses the concerns right away. The assistant director Fauzia, is also wonderful. She's always so friendly knows my kids very well communicates well and is always happy to help! All the teachers truly love their job from what I see and hear from other parents. the infant teacher Mrs. Gail had my daughter and now has my six month old baby boy and I don't ever ever doubt that hes in good hands as she is Incredible. She is very great at communicating through the app. She always ask questions is great at working with your child and communicating suggestions or any concerns that she may have. Shes super motherly. Ms Lillian and Ms Nicole have my daughter and they are AMAZING. What's important to me is having enthusiasm patience and professionalism when dealing with a two-year-old and I never feel uncomfortable or concerned with how they teach my daughter or how to take care of my daughter. I know that's what any parent would want to hear as you read this! Ms Brookanne has my baby boy occasionally and I love how well she communicates with me and treats both my babies. Thank you! Lastly, before this pandemic the daycare has always been very clean they've always been on top of keeping the appearance appropriate sanitary and even with dirty diapers it always manages to smell good. They have made the daycare look very homey and cozy and I never had concerns with how it presented. I HIGHLY recommend Jonis in Farmington

Unfortunately, our experience with our son was very different. After Christmas break, we noticed a significant change in his behavior and attitude. There were several incidents where the school reported that he ate breakfast or lunch, but when we asked him about it, his answers didn't match what we were told. He would say he didn't try certain foods because they looked gross or that he didn't like them. On one occasion we were told he ate most of his breakfast, but when we asked what he ate, the response was that he "tasted a few things and drank extra milk." To us, that does not sound like eating most of a meal. It made us feel like the food communication was not accurate or that staff simply weren't paying close attention. Our son also reached a stage where he no longer wanted to nap. The school reported that he was crying, whining, and being disruptive during nap time. There was one day where he was so upset and crying during the entire two-hour nap period that the teachers and director were messaging and calling me about it. Not knowing what else to do, I ended up picking him up early. When I arrived and picked him up, I noticed a red mark very close to the corner of his eye while we were standing in the hallway. When I asked him what happened, he told me that he hit his face on what he called the "bad boy couch." This incident had not been reported to me by any of the staff. Concerned, we even brought our very tired four-year-old to therapy to make sure there wasn't something deeper going on. We were told his behavior was completely age-appropriate. What concerned us most was how the situation was handled by the classroom teachers and administration. Our son began coming home saying his teachers didn't like him, that they didn't talk to him, and that they ignored him. One day he told us that Miss Kaitlyn said she didn't want him to come to school because he cries too much, which upset him and made him cry even more. When we brought these concerns to the director, Miss Pam, we felt completely dismissed. We were essentially told that our son was the problem and that the teachers "would never say that." At no point did we feel that our concerns would be addressed with the teachers. Each time we raised an issue, the response was that they "go above and beyond" for him, without any acknowledgment of his feelings or attempt to work with us on solutions. This experience made us feel like the staff simply didn't want to deal with a child who needed a little extra patience during a difficult phase. Ultimately, we decided to remove our son from the daycare. I would not recommend this center unless you have a very quiet, easygoing child. We were disappointed that the administration did not try to resolve the situation or show concern for how our son was feeling.

Before coming to KinderCare, my son was ill several times a month (viruses, fevers, stomach bug, etc.) at the center he was currently at. My concern was that his previous center did not focus on cleanliness therefore, resulting in my son constantly being ill. My husband and I realized that we wanted a center that focused more on cleanliness and we found that and more at Anne's center. We also were very interested in the curriculum KinderCare had to offer as the center he was in did not have a curriculum. When we toured Anne's center, I was exceptionally pleased. Her center was very clean and I was thrilled with how much learning I saw as I walked into each classroom. Talking to the teachers, I could see how passionate they were about their job and how each teacher focused on the developmental aspects of each child in their care. Needless to say, that same day we enrolled him. Within a few short months, my husband and I began to see big changes in our son. He was learning more, talking more and he was healthy! All of the teachers are so warm and sweet! We are greeted every morning upon arrival by all of the teachers and his teachers partnered with us to help him with things that he struggled with from time to time. I never thought I would see my 4 year old writing fluently, adding/subtracting, reading site words and overall accomplishing Kindergarten standards. He is now doing so well in Kindergarten- reading, writing, math and so much more! This is all thanks to KinderCare! Then, over the summer, our daughter arrived into this world and I did not hesitate for a second to have her go through the same journey at the center that my son went through! She is 4 months old and in the infant room - she enjoys her days, the teachers follow our schedules, her room is clean and her teachers are always doing things with the children in their care. We are so happy that we have a second "family" - thank you to Anne & all her staff!

The director and the teachers truly love their job. Prior to Covid, I was able to come into the center and nurse my baby. I saw firsthand how well the infant teachers handled their kids. They were all held and attended to as if they were their own. We now have two kids in this center. Their Covid precautions are strict, but we feel safe and clean here. My toddler son is learning so much at the discovery preschool level, much more than I would have been able to expose him to. It truly is like a play based school before school. Only cons are high teacher turnover, but this is common in other daycares from what I hear.

I witness on 3 different occasions a less than ideal tone used with my toddler. I also witness him being off on his own on one occasion very sad. I asked him what was wrong and he said he felt alone because the kid had taken a toy from him. Meanwhile the teacher was on his cell phone (Seen a lot of that when picking up my toddler). At 1st I didn't say anything as I am overprotective of my child, but his other parent went to stop by mid day with some lunch and over heard the teacher using that same tone. Immediately we had a group meeting and the teacher apologized and stated that she was a bit stressed due to a behavioral health child acting out in class, and she took it out on my toddler and the other children, I am still wondering what that had to do with my child?!?? Or why this teacher wasn't given some assistance. I also asked how many times does this happen, as the director continued to use the behavioral child as an excuse to the behavior of the staff. My child was removed immediately. Nothing is worth my child's well being. These teachers and directors need to meet these children where they are. If they are in need or talking you should bend down to their eye level to console them or understand them so you can assist them with care. My son said he was scared to go into the school on his 2nd day. I assumed he was hesitant with a new place and would adjust. I was wrong!!!!! I feel like I also failed my choke because if I had listens to him after day 1, I should have save him the exposure of mental, emotional and verbal abuse!!! i beg any parent that loves their child not to drop them off at Scott swamp RX in Farmington ct.
