If you go to Stuart and don't visit Kilwin's, did you really even go?! Kilwin's is a MUST. It's worth waiting in a line out the door (which I've done--more than once!). You truly can't go wrong here, but their rum raisin is my favorite (so sweet, decadent, and boozy!). Pistachio, blue moon, and chocolate-peanut butter all tie for runner-up. Ice cream / Chocolates This place is an institution in Stuart and well worth the money you will spend in there. Even though they are located around the country, the experience is always a treat. The ice creams are made in-store and all I can say is that whoever came up with the coconut chocolate ice cream ought to be given a medal... just ridiculously outstanding (if you like coconut). The handmade chocolates are also amazing and there are plenty of options to choose from. I do not believe we have ever gotten out of this place without a handful of goodies to enjoy as we walk and later at home. For all of this goodness there is a price to pay -this is not exactly a cheap place but it is in line with what you might expect for more artisanal items. Just beware in case you have five kiddies with you... People working here are super helpful and know the products well. Only pet peeve I had was that the credit card machine "is going to ask you a question" which translates into "do you want to leave a tip?" Great stop for whenever we are in the Stuart area. I adore and love kilwins specifically this location, it's conveniently in the downtown Stuart area which is a great park and walk location small shops and boutiques. since the space is big and there is room to sit down inside. They also have many items that we can choose from. My go to is the Carmel apple pie apple, very delicious and sweet you can grab it whole or ask them to cut it up the apples around 9 bucks. Kilwins is a bit pricey for two strawberries dipped in chocolate which were priced at 4 bucks per strawberry. read more

Great ice cream. Extremely pricey. A place I take visitors when they come, and everyone enjoys it (but everyone comments on the prices, too.). Lots of homemade candy, fudge, and candy/caramel apples. The ambiance is lame. It's not pretty! Nobody can really sit down inside comfortably. The young ladies are more into socializing than assisting customers. They seemed frightened to see customers come in like they don't know what to do which is concerning considering the job. As soon as you enter this place your nose has the whiff of chocolate, decadent chocolate. I could never work here as I love chocolate too much and would eat one of each. You can also smell all that sugar. We came in for that after dinner desert. My friend wanted ice cream she got the pistachio and there was sorbet too. Each having their caloric value. I walked out stuffed and so did she. The portions were decent and each cup of ice cream was 5.00 and I wouldn't pay for this at the super market but do at Kilwins. What happened to pricing/portion sizes?? We just got two single scoops of ice cream, one in a cone and one in a cup for $15. They weighed the cup and there was about 10 small bites. Already having ice cream withdrawals now that I'm back in LA. Kilwins has the best ice cream in Florida, and safe to say it's one of my favorites in all of the US! As you walk into the store, you're welcomed with the sweet smell of chocolates and waffle cones. This location can be busy at times, but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. They offer an array of flavors, toppings, and cones which you're sure to find the perfect combination of your choice. My absolute favorite flavor is the Toasted Coconut - rich, milk ice cream with chocolate covered coconut shavings folded in. I usually add almonds as a topping, and it's the perfect harmony of milky, crunchy, chocolate delight. When I want to really treat myself, I get the ice cream in a waffle bowl, which comes with a two scoop portion. There is really no such thing as too much ice cream! Kilwins is definitely more expensive than the average ice cream joints in town, but the price is in line with what I'm used to paying for artisan ice cream ($5-6). Hoping they can bring Kilwins to the west coast some day, but until then, I'll make it a point to visit whenever I'm in the east coast :) read more

I first got turned onto this place in college when I location open up the Eddy St., Commons lots of my friends knew it for Michigan and I got turned onto the treats when I moved to Indy I missed it but there is a location on mass Avenue at least I think there was I'm not sure "post-pandemic"I was also very happy when I discovered that there was a location near my parents in Florida it's an awesome place the staff is always friendly the ice cream selection and chocolate selection is a great variety When we visited most recently I decided to get some pistachio ice cream and it was amazing I love anything pistachio and this ice cream just hit the spot my mom got the mint chocolate chip had to have a bite of that and we also got some fudge with walnuts all around everything was sweet and delicious and this is the place that office it again and do so habitually no matter if it's an Indiana or Florida,Florida is a great location! Kilwin's is a great location for ice cream right next to the pier in Stuart. Although it's a chain it offers that local flavor that you'd want from ice cream. I visited last night with my wife. It had just rained so not a ton of people out walking around the area but for the people that were, most were inside of Kilwin's. When you walk through the door you are greeted by a wall or goodies. Many of which is fudge or chocolate dipped items. They have a bunch of different flavors that you view from the traditional ice cream parlor glass window in the buckets. I went with a flavor called "Stuart Mud" which was vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and caramel swirl. It was delicious. Best thing is they have handmade chocolate dipped waffle cones and waffle BOWLS. I got a chocolate dipped waffle bowl and it tasted wonderful. They give you a plastic bowl to put the waffle bowl in but I probably didn't need it. Only odd thing about Kilwin's in my opinion is they got this strong wallpaper design that hits you in face when you walk. I would definetly recommend them on a stroll by the pier or simply a hot summer day between the boutique shopping with the gf or wife. read more

Went for a walk in downtown Stuart after we had a delicious dinner, and wandered into Kilwins, because the smell of the chocolate was intoxicating. There were so many delicious looking items to choose from was ridiculous and all decorated so cute for Easter. You could watch the girls make fresh waffle cones for the ice cream and the caramel apples were just over the top outrageous and smelled heavenly. What a delicious way to end a day. We bought some salted caramel fudge to have later. A great place to go on a date or bring your kids or grandkids. Everyone working in there was very pleasant, friendly and they all had great smiles on their faces. I'm sure it's from smelling chocolate all day. read more

My daughter and I were in the area for a dinner party and decided to stop in. The young lady that helped us was so patient considering we ordered 3 quarts which she hand-packed right there. We ordered the Rum Raisin, Blue Moon and Superman. We also asked for a double scoop of Cookies and Cream in a cone. No one else on earth makes better ice cream, especially Cookies and Cream. Due to the heat I didn't take pics (I was temporarily out of my mind from the humidity) but if you are ever in the area definitely stop by. After having lunch at a nearby restaurant, my husband and I decided to treat our grandchildren to some take home ice cream. Yelp directed me to Kilwins. Since it was hard to find a parking spot, my husband got out to go into the store. I circled the block and found a place to park near Kilwins the second time around. The aroma when I entered the store was laden with chocolate and sugar. The store was crowded on this mid-Sunday afternoon but my husband was already near the front of the line enjoying a few ice cream samples. The young lady working at the counter was very pleasant and offered me a sample of ice cream as well. We purchased a quart of Old Fashioned Vanilla. Six of us finished the entire quart shortly after arriving at home. The ice cream was rich and creamy and hit the spot on a warm day. It was a bit pricy ( $14 ) for a quart but as an occasional treat it's worth the price. Kilwins also creates its own brand of fudge and candies as well. Tried this place for the first time. It's a chocolate lover's paradise. I had the newest ice cream flavor - chocolate sea salt caramel. It was little rich for me, but tasted exactly like its name. The line to enter was out the door, past 2 shops, but the wait was quick because the staff is very efficient and courteous. This was wonderful because we were able to get out just in time to see the fireworks for the 4th! We'll definitely visit again! read more

Straight 5 out of 5 . You're walking down the side of the street and all you smell is chocolate and literally ice cream! The moment you walk into this chocolate/ice cream/Souvenir shop you fall in love with big chunks of chocolates, the smell of fresh brownies, the touch of cold air from the fridges and most of all you can feel the love for sweets from the staff. I chose the chocolate and peanut butter ice cream cup, my God was that delicious. My wife chose the Georgia peach sherbet and it was as sweet as real peaches. Besides the sweets, they have a little gift shop for anything from chocolate covered strawberries, chunks of chocolate and brownies to Star Wars gum ball machines.
