(I got to feed the highland coos and my friend got to go to lean to coffee) If you also had any questions regarding luggage size or about the stops, they were really quick to respond despite the time difference (8 hours from LA to Scotland) The tour max is 16 people and they run regardless if it's less than 16. The seats were very comfortable and there was a complimentary charging station in the seats near the window. My tour group was small (10 people in total) and they are all friendly and nice! Now the major factor in the tour is the unpredictable weather of Scotland. In my tour, it rained most of the trip, but the driver Chris was very strategic and re-arranged the itinerary to ensure we had the best possible experience at every stop we made. He was also very knowledgeable and gave fun facts and history bits. He even drove safely and always stopped to let the sheep cross the road. Some notable stops: - Quirang -I pretended I was a weather lady reporting the windy conditions - Broadford - I found lots of British exclusive chocolate and I had a big pile I took back on the bus - Fairy pools - an epic 2 hour hike with a bunch of rain - Loch Lomond - this went on for miles and miles and it was beautiful and blue - Sheep - lots of sheep everywhere - Dunvegan Castle - has a beautiful garden Overall, if you want an epic tour of the highlands do the 4 day and ensure that Chris is your driver!

This Holiday Inn Express was perfectly positioned so it was close enough to the train station, the Beacon and all the pubs and shops in town. Its also in the middle of a business park, so for anyone traveling for business in the area this could be a great hotel choice. I'm also a rewards member for any Intercontinental Hotel Group hotels, so aside from getting a great room with free breakfast at an affordable rate, I also get points towards free stays or upgrades! Win win! We were welcomed as rewards members and were offered a late checkout for free which was nice. Our room was cozy and clean and the bed was comfy. We didn't have any issues with noisy neighbours or late night parties. The only noise we really heard were the birds chirping outside as we left one of our windows cracked open over night. Breakfast was free and consisted of a huge selection of buffet items. Yoghurts, cheese, mixed fruit, juices and a coffee machine to make a variety of drinks. There was a selection of dry cereals, croissants, muffins, breads to toast, eggs, sausages and beans. To be fair, even though there was a huge spread, we would have enjoyed bacon over sausages, as the sausages were quite mediocre. Otherwise, we filled up in preparation of our day. Check out was seamless and we were on our way in no time. I recommend this hotel as some place to stay in Greenock for business or travel.

We had limited time and told him of our desires and he was able accommodate us. So fun to see the beautiful parts of Scotland. Next time we need to go for over a week if not 2 weeks. They have a fancy Mercedes van that seats 7 people comfortably. Only 2 of us in our party so we had plenty of space for souvenirs. We got to know our guide, Alan, and the other people we toured with well. They became friends and we hope to travel with them again in the future. Alan did a superb job of showing us the country, relating Scottish history and accomodating special requests on the fly for eating, shopping and touring. He had a delightful sense of humor, as well as being an exceptionally good driver. Leah and Jennifer were in constant contact, double-checking reservations and making sure we were taken care of throughout. We loved the selection of hotels in smaller towns. Karen Komurcu, Client Relations, was very helpful in addressing our questions and planning our tour. We eventually booked ourselves and another couple on the 4 Day Iconic Scotland Tour. A delightful mother and daughter duo joined us increasing our total to 7 including our tour guide/driver. The van was both spacious and comfortable. Paul, our guide, soon became part of the group as he drove us though beautiful Scotland and narrated a series of stories and accounts of Scotland's history and the lives of its people. (Bet you felt a little bit inside you to imagine pulling the whistle). I have been wanting to go on this tour for many many years but it always fills up so quickly. So note, book up as soon as you can, way far in advance. Basically like booking a train going down south but you always end up missing out on those advance tickets. Has anyone ever managed to get them? Anyway off "track" there. Haw haw, see what I did. Behold the group of very excited Yelpers in the middle of the Glasgow Central concourse geared up and ready to embrace what was to lie ahead in our tour. We were greeted by our tour guide, Vic, nae Bob, just Vic but this guy didn't need no side kick. We were suited and booted with our fashionable Network Rail hi-vis and safety helmet. I loved it, I felt like a pure engineer like. Ha, well kinda! It was so interesting and the things that you will see and hear are unbelievable. I thoroughly enjoyed it and Vic was so knowledgeable, I loved his attention to detail especially with dates. His stories really brought the tour alive. I was a bit gutted we couldn't get out on the roof as it was icy. He explained it was a bit catch 22, when it's clear then the engineers like to get up and do repairs. Fair dos! Love the small group size- vans of 8 vs a big tour group. We got to know others on the tour and our guide Karen was excellent. Good variety of walking, driving, history and of course the Highland cows. It was by far the best part of our trip and I wish we had the time to do a multi day tour with the group. Side note I have to say their responsiveness and communication ahead of time was next to none. Allem helped us out when we were running to meet the group a few minutes late (for the meet time not the leave time - they have a fifteen minute window thankfully) and that wouldn't have been as easy had he not texted me the day before to make sure we had all the info.
