The bus was comfortable and our driver and tour guide, James M, was absolutely wonderful. He was informative and entertaining. We made several stops on the way there and on the way back which helped with the long journey. James M even made sure we got to see some Highland Cows which delighted everyone on our tour. I would definitely use Rabbie's again!

It was a glorious day, with the sun splitting the trees. Graeme got us settled in and started telling us about our day. He knew more about Scottish history than my entire family combined I think (we're all Scottish) He intertwined the history with songs that were sung by native artists that were relevant to the story & added in some jokes. We all had a wonderful day making our way up to Oban, taking stops for tea, sights, & finally lunch there. As we made our way back down to Glasgow the scenery just so impressive. You could hardly believe that it was real. The hills all had names and he explained why, this went the same about the lochs. Graeme also knew the Castles history and who had owned it through years . I'd absolutely go on another tour with Rabbies, especially if I can request the driver

While in Scotland, one of our top things to do was to see Loch Ness. With a little tooling around…read moreonline, I found Highland Tours, which offers a variety of single and multi-day tours around Scotland. They had a single day (about 12 hours total) bus tour of Loch Ness and the Highlands, which was perfect for us. The bus left from Edinburgh, and left right on time. We traveled through a suburban town and eventually onto a main road that lead us up the eastern highlands. This area was mostly covered with green lands, hills, and sheep. Thousands of sheep. We made a stop in a small town where one could get a drink or snack at the local coffee shop, but unfortunately, being a Sunday, the rest of the town was closed. We continued on our tour, eventually stopping at Loch Ness. Loch Ness was amazing. We had the option of taking a 45 minute cruise on the Loch, which was cold, windy, and amazing. After the cruise, we had plenty of free time to check out the gift shop and have a bite to eat before having to be back on the bus. The tour then proceeded down through the Western Highlands. There, we saw some of the most dramatic and beautiful landscapes. We stopped at an area called Glencoe, which was quite dreary but breathtaking. We had about 15 minutes on the side of the road just to observe and take pictures of the enormous green hills, rocks and waterfalls. Because our group was organized an on time returning to the bus after each stop, our tour guide treated us to a couple of extra stops. We stopped at a moving war memorial, a pretty large gift shop, and another rest stop that offered gift shops and places to eat. Our last stop was in Stirling, where we got out of the bus to observe the William Wallace monument. (Side note, the Wallace monument was the one thing I really wanted to see up close and didn't get to do on my trip. Next time, I'll make it!) The entire bus tour lasted about 12 hours, returning us to Edinburgh in time for a late dinner. It was a great way to see a large portion of Scotland's beautiful landscape in one day, and gave us ideas of where we'd like to re-visit and spend more time when we return. I would recommend this tour group, and would try another one of their one-day tours in the future.

We had limited time and told him of our desires and he was able accommodate us. So fun to see the beautiful parts of Scotland. Next time we need to go for over a week if not 2 weeks. They have a fancy Mercedes van that seats 7 people comfortably. Only 2 of us in our party so we had plenty of space for souvenirs. Highly recommend this private tour to anyone looking to have a totally customized itinerary or a set scheduled 'must see' itinerary. There are so many things to see and do in this beautiful nation (or country?) of the UK.

**Terrible Experience with Sightseeing Hop-On Bus in Glasgow - Avoid at All Costs!**…read more I purchased two 2-day tickets for the Sightseeing Hop-On Bus in Glasgow for August 2-3, 2025, expecting a smooth and enjoyable tour of the city. Instead, I was met with **unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and a complete waste of time and money**. On August 3, I planned to take the **Yellow Route**, but guess what? **The bus never showed up!** There was **no notice, no warning, no apology**--just complete silence from the company. I stood at the **"Celtic" stadium stop** for **over an hour in scorching heat**, waiting for a bus that never arrived. Eventually, I had to **spend extra money on a taxi** just to get to the city centre. Because of this **shocking lack of service**, I **missed out on key tourist attractions** I had planned to visit. I **flew all the way to the UK**, paid for hotels, and invested time and money into this trip, only to have my plans ruined by this **unreliable company**. The **moral distress** of being stranded without explanation is just the icing on the cake. **Save your money and your sanity--DO NOT book with this company!** Zero stars if I could.

Some of the busses got pretty busy and the top floor is half uncovered which was not great while it rained. I was super impressed with the recordings which were clear and very interesting. There were even 2 different recordings in English, one more historical and one music themed. My only wish is that it stopped closer to the botanical gardens. However, the walk through the university was gorgeous so it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

I have emailed them 3 times, requesting a Refund. No Reply- No Response. On the actual day I received an email to say my 3:25pm flight was scheduled to depart 4:25pm. I turned up at 12pm & requested a Refund but was prepared to be a Stand by on any flight, in the event someone cancelled or didn't turn up. Neither of these were acceptable. I sat around all afternoon, sat on benches near take off location. Not once did they approach me to update me whether there was space on a flight . I did hear him say to a group - It's a bit misty but due to clear. But if visibility is not good, you'll get Refunds. Shallow words to me ! As the afternoon wore on, the flights became more and more delayed. The 2:15pm flight had not taken off by 3:50pm ! I know this because I was chatting with an American lady who was on the 2:15pm flight. My 3:25pm flight was certainly not going to take off before 4:25pm but much , much later. But no one came to advise me or give me updates. So, Fabulous if your Flight takes off on time or delayed by less than hour but terrible if you are requesting a Refund - as per their own terms and conditions

Our first attempt at going at the tail end of 2014 was called off due to weather, so we rescheduled to the middle of March. We managed to totally luck out on the day, and got a lovely sunny day with little cloud and no rain at all. We had booked in for the West Coast Explorer tour (one slightly frustrating thing, you can't buy vouchers for a certain value and leave it to the recipient to choose their tour - you can only get vouchers for a specific tour. Slightly inconvenient, but I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem changing a voucher you got if need be) which covers a good portion of the scenery around the Loch Lomond area. Based at Cameron House Hotel, there isn't really an office as such that you can mill about in - once you get there you'll see the jetty where the plane takes off and lands, and there will be someone about to meet and greet you. This gives you a chance to have a wander about Cameron House and see how the other half live! In terms of other things to expect, the plane we were one was big enough for 9 passengers; one in the front with the pilot, 3 2-seater seats and 2 seats on their own. While it's pretty cosy, you don't feel overly cramped, and no matter where you sit you get a great view. We were at the 2 seats at the back, and this has the added bonus of essentially giving you 2 windows to look out - the one immediately to your side and the ones behind you. This is handy is you miss something first time! If you're at all a nervous flyer then I can reassure you that this is one of the smoothest flights I have ever been on: both the take off and landing were phenomenally smooth (so much that it's actually easy not to realise that you've landed!) and we weren't buffeted about at all during the flight. I did feel slightly queasy, but I think that was because I was looking at things through my camera viewfinder a lot, and I don't think that helps! If you have a camera with a big LCD screen or a smartphone I think you'll be fine. And trust me, you will want to take loads of photos! You get to see some amazing things; from climbers on Ben Lomond, to Oban, Rothsea and the Crinan Canal, you travel a pretty big distance, and get a unique view of some of the best scenery in Scotland (if not the world). My geography is pretty useless, so I wasn't always 100% sure where I was, but it really doesn't matter as everything looks amazing. You get great visibility out the windows (they fog up at the start when everyone first gets in, but it clears really quickly) and you can see both sides - there really isn't a good or bad side to be sitting on. Although the website quotes a 55 minute flight time, we were in the air for closer to an hour and a half. The intercom system that allows the pilot to talk you through where we were wasn't working, and as a result I think they took us out for longer than usual. To be honest, the lack of commentary wasn't a big issue for me (I hadn't expected one to be fair) and it was kind of fun using a map to see where we were, and talk to the other passengers to see who knew what was what. One of the people on our tour lived in Largs, and the pilot even changed the route so we could fly past so he could try and see his house! If you're a tourist or a local I can't recommend this highly enough. Sure, it isn't cheap, but then some things are definitely worth it, and I think this absolutely justified every penny of its £129 price tag. They are starting to fly out of Skye as well, and I'm now planning a trip to do it. Absolutely fantastic.
