As you start on the trail look up in the trees and you might spot a koala. They are pretty high up, but visible. Head through the rain forest terrains up a very nice steep trail that is well maintained. You will come to many picturesque spots with spectacular views of the sea it's splendid! The light house itself is beautiful. Sitting high upon a lookout its white gleaming features remind me of Greece. There are also trails down to the rocky beach area where there are crashing waves and tide pools. Very cool hike/ walk.

Yes, the social life is fun, the beaches…read moreare gorgeous and the weather is warm, but I think the walk really wins as my favourite Byron Bay activity. The walk can be configured in different ways, but basically it weaves its way down to Wategos Beach, then up to the eastern-most point of Australia, and then around to the Cape Byron lighthouse, then down through some gorgeous bushland, in a sort of loop. Or you can do it the other way around. It's definitely run-able, although some sections are steep and full of steps, so often everyone but the most fit athletes are reduced to walking... One of the things I love about this walk (apart from how gorgeous the vistas are...) is the steep up and down nature of it all. Steep climbs and descents, varied terrain, from open and in the sun, to hidden in the trees. How long it takes is entirely up to you. I started the walk as a jog - on the other side of town, and then did a sort of run-walk, circling back. That took about 75 minutes. Unfortunately most of the walk is not wheelchair accessible, and it can be pretty rough if you have bad knees.

It was really good fun in fact we got lost in one room and couldn't find a way out. This is definitely worth a visit if you don't have much on or if you're near the Chevron renaissance building. There are over 20 rooms to enjoy the lights sound and atmosphere. It's definitely safe the kids as nobody jumps out at you and there's nothing that's too scary apart from being in the dark and feeling a bit lost at times. Just check when you buy your tickets how long it will take for the time it will take to get through the queue, as it took us over an hour but you would expect that during the Christmas period.

Take your near $30 and spend it on food, shopping, skypoint. Anything but this.

The picture was quite quick, and quite costly, but if you're like my family and I who love Koalas, it was worth it. The koala menu and pantry were such a cute addition to the koala area. Because of the rain, it was hard to explore the whole park even when wearing a poncho. You also had to pay to enter the park, despite booking the experience. We heard it's free later in the afternoon though (not sure if that's accurate but what we were told!).

Now I know there are petting zoos in the USA but those are for farm animals. Here you can pet the Koalas. I'll say that again- pet the Koalas! You can't do that in Sydney. The kangaroo station has them hopping around in the open for you to pet and Feed! If that's not enough the wallaby encounter allows you to pet the emu. No you cannot pet the wallabies. You can however feed the lorikeets(green bird) at your own peril. There are other animals here to see that doesn't exist in North America Zoos so don't miss it.

Words cannot describe the feeling of floating weightlessly over the scenic coast. It was spectacular and so surreal. I'm not a very adventurous person so I never would have though to do something like this, but I'm so glad I did! Thanks mum and dad for the most amazing birthday present ever!!

The track, karts & other equipment is well maintained and they are quite diligent with their safety practices, whilst it was fun, my only complaint is that the track was perhaps a little too short, would have been nicer to be a little longer. I can see there is also potential for corporate /group events with BBQ facilities area for staff/mates to mingle during breaks in races & after the events! Not a bad place to go, but might try others as well to keep variety.
