It may be easy to miss up a small driveway, but once you find it it's like walking into someone's kitchen. The host was friendly and accommodating and speaks English. We had the mixed vegetable plate as well as chicken tibs. I was disappointed that they were out of Doro Wot because I like spice and this was 7/8 o'clock so get there early if that's what you're looking for. The lentil dishes were especially good but I missed the heat that I'm used to at home. I hear that Europeans are less tolerant of spucybso perhaps Mesob tones it down for their usual customers. Be forewarned: the restaurant switched to CASH ONLY about a week ago according to the proprietor which would have been nice to know before I pulled out my credit card. All in all, I would definitely return on my next trip to Rome.

Each were freshly fried and the best of their respective variety that I have ever had. Then we shared the doro wot and vegetarian combination. The whole meal was extremely flavorful and an excellent value in a city where overpaying is easy. To top it all off, the owners were extremely kind and called us a cab back to our hotel after the long walk to the restaurant. Overall excellent experience!

I was really, really pleased with the quality and quantity of both the food and the atmosphere. The man working that night was uber friendly and explained everything to my Italian friends who had never eaten Ethiopian before. I always get the vegetarian plate and it did not disappoint. My friends had the beef, spicy and not so spicy, and gorged themselves on the Injera. Rookie mistake! Prices in the States are cheaper but were pretty reasonable for being in Rome, about 12 euro a person including beer and water. Based on the other reviews we got there early because I assumed we'd have to fight for a table. Umm.. we were the ONLY people there for the entire duration of our meal. I guess 20:00 is like the early bird special. Anyways, I'd go back in a heartbeat and I'm definitely recommending that my friends eat here!
