So after doing research discovered that sugaring is being used at some places instead of waxing. Found several places in Columbia that uses sugaring but couldn't get an appt so ended up going here. Place: located in the Vista. Easy to find, metered parking. The inside is very well laid out and decorated. A nails technician works there too. They perform other things besides sugaring. Mabel: she was the lady that gave me my sugaring. She made the experience easy enough while being in such a vulnerable and embarrassing position. She stated that she had almost 12 years at what she does. I was hesistant about her application but she reassured me and did not did twice into the sugar. If necessary she used a new glob. She was very professional. Experience: PAINFUL. This was my first experience in such a tender area. I have have my eyebrows threaded and waxed several times but this pain was different. She assured me that new waxers state it is painful the first few times but as you adjust you adapt. I guess this is true b/c i can get my eyebrows done without a muscle twitch. I would fore warn newbies to take 2 pain relievers at least before going like Tylenol or something. During she applied baby powder b/c i was sweating so much. The sugaring felt warm and applied easily. Afterwards i made sure to wash in the store any excess. When she was finished I love the results. It was smooth and soft. Some reddened areas but she applied a special lotion to prevent breaking out. She even went over how to care for the area. The room: was clean and new sheets applied after I was through. All her products looked well care for. The only thing I didn't like was the positioning of the doorway, once she had to answer a call and when she exited I was left exposed when she opened the door. Also, I wish it had thicker walls b/c I could here her and the client before me clearly while I was in the waiting area. At home: the hair didn't return for almost 4 weeks and my skin wasn't irritated at all. I would definitely do it again, with her or a different facility I'm not sure yet. Price: I pay $55 for student discount but the services are pretty pricey.

I arrived within that window and Allyssa said she would do my wax but not my butt strip which is included in the full Brazilian wax. Butt strip takes less than 5 minutes to do and it's included in the Brazilian wax. Allyssa you and your manager must have been having a bad day that day. I always tipped you well and purchased products from your store for support bc the products are awful. This place is money hungry and the reviews are untrustworthy because it's mainly from people they know. Do not go to this place. They make you do a $30 deposit as well which is ridiculous for a wax. This is a bright, clean, tastefully decorated space. It's conveniently located right on Washington Road, making it easy to get to from anywhere. Leslie is a gracious, chatty person who puts you immediately at ease. No small feat when the subject is ripping your hair out by the roots. She is careful and keeps me talking, laughing and sufficiently distracted so our time together goes quickly and smoothly. The hairdressers at the salon do a brisk business, but I've not had the opportunity to patronize them. It is hypnotic watching them at their craft though. Wow! I have finally found my lash person. I have searched for over a year. I had lash extensions…read moredone in Cali on a recommendation from a friend. Upon return to Augusta I decide to search online and tried two different persons. One was working out of a nail salon and was nice but the lashes she used felt like plastic. The second person was working out of her home and the lashes started to immediately fall out including losing my own after day 1 :( In my experience with lash extensions I have always thought water was the enemy. I purposely avoided getting water on my lashes. Anyhow I gave up my search and let my lashes be for a while but I sure did miss the look it gave me. One day I was on fb and I saw Sarah's ad and inquired. She responded and was very friendly and professional. I ended up going in to see her the following week. She has a dedicated room and is very knowledgeable about all things makeup and most importantly lashes. She had the room set at a certain humidity level. Now I've seen professional lash installers talk about this but have never worked with someone who actually enforces it. Upon completion I was amazed at her talent and how she opened up my eyes verses looking like I came out of a drag show lol I know that's the look some go for but not me. The lashes she uses are soft and felt like my own! She then handed me a cleaning kit! A cleaning kit??? She wanted me to wash my lashes DAILY! I told her no way - they are going to fall out and she said they wouldn't. I was still hesitant and waited 48 hours to use the cleaning solution she provided. I used it and wow she was right - they didn't fall out. I ended up traveling shortly after and my lashes went in with me into pools, beaches, saunas, gyms and they remained intact! I was amazed and became a loyal customer! I get a lot of compliments on my lashes and I barely wear any makeup. I'm so happy I found someone I that is knowledgeable and stands behind their product!
