I have done Reformer, Spin class and abs, arms & ass class! I love the classical teaching of KIKI Pilates on the reformer. Great instruction and direction was always given in both classes. Kiki Pilates Studio is the best!!!! I have attended many studio classes there (yoga, barre, pilates, boot camp, dynamic core, etc!!), and each one has been EXCEPTIONAL. The instructors are prepared, SO helpful, and make you feel so good about yourself. I have tried 4 Barre/Pilate studios on the north shore. I have to admit that I am a huge fan of Kiki's! I love her Sunday morning Barre class, its a great way to start my day! The focus is on being strong and graceful, but the lean physique that comes with that work is icing on the cake! Kiki is supportive, knowledgable, and motivating. She is experienced and perceptive enough to know when to challenge you (and wow, does she challenge you), and when to back off and let you do the best you can on that day. Took my first Reformer class here with Tina. Everyone here was so welcoming and friendly, and the instructor took the time before class to show me the ropes on all the machines. Even during the class, she spent a lot of time with me making sure I was doing the moves correctly and was following what was going on. The studio was great, pretty big and open. I'm sure that it become different with experience, but I did feel that I had to focus more on figuring out what I was supposed to be doing than getting an actual workout. Kiki Pilates is by far the best studio around, I have tried other studios and none match up to Kiki's. She offers a variety of classes including barre, pilates, TRX and yoga. As well as various equipment classes (that I have yet to try). No matter what class you take you are guaranteed a crazy workout from a trainer who is certified, they are constantly making sure you have correct form to prevent injuries. My all time favorite class is the 8:00 AM Saturday morning TRX Bootcamp class with Alex, talk about a workout! In January of 2016 I weighed 232 pounds, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and extreme fatigue. I also carry a diagnosis of Chronic Kidney Disease and I am running on only 10% function in each kidney. One day I saw a picture of myself from a family party and decided that enough was enough. I joined the gym and started using an app to count my calories. After a month or so the gym started to bore me and I found myself missing more and more "cheat" days. In the middle of February I decided to look up an old Pilates instructor named Kiki. BOOM there she was owning her own studio in Danvers. I knew I had to give it a shot. I started by taking Pilates once a week and I loved it but I found myself getting bored again. One of my friends told me about the Spin class there. I have heard horrible things about spinning and thought I would never try it. Then I tried it one Saturday morning. I hated it! I tried to quit half way through the class but I couldn't unlatch my shoes from the pedals, I was forced to stay the entire class but I was never coming back. Until the next weekend I tried it again. I fell in love! I now do the spin class 5 times a week and the instructors are amazing. Here I am 8 months later and I am a changed person. I am currently weighing in at 171 pounds, I am off my cholesterol and high blood pressure medicine and I have never felt better. Kiki is hard on me at times but it's what keeps me going. I am never bored and I get excited to go to class. I finally have my life back and it's all because of Kiki's Pilates Studio. Kiki, Catherine, Nicole, Adri, Jessica and Mike are amazing and I consider them all my family. My weight loss journey is not over I will continue to get strong.
