A German beer garden tucked away in a part of Paris that is off the beaten path? Yes, please! Victim of its own success, you may want to try and stake out your seats super early! My first time coming here I had to end up leaving because it was jam packed to the max! Shame, but I guess what were we really expecting rolling up with the squad late Saturday night? Of course it's gonna be popping! Although we were super sad to leave, we did manage to get a nice peek inside and were just in instant love: this place is awesome. (And vowed to come back at another off peak time that was not late Saturday night lol.) Anywho, cue last night. It's raining, we happened to be in the area for a wine tasting and had time to kill, so what better than to head over to kiez for a drink or two (before heading to a wine tasting LOL. U know how it be). Considering the weather was crappy, we did not venture to the hidden outside beer garden section (which is just lovely), but stayed inside). I was pleasantly surprised by the beer selection as well as the overall menu. Service was friendly and efficient and prices are super reasonable. I love the music and overall chill, laid back vibe here. You really do feel like you are transported elsewhere, far away from Paris while here. This place is totally worth the trek. (And let's not kid ourselves - it is a trek coming up here. You gotta brace the metro line 13 to get here. Haha it had been almost a decade since I had ventured off to metro line 13, since way back when when I used to live up at Porte de clichy. Major improvements have taken place since then so don't be scared guys. It's not so bad!) Anywho, it's worth it making the journey over to kiez for a taste of Germany. (Just try to get here early for seating cuz otherwise there are not a million other backup options up in the 17th). I only regret that I didn't get to try the delicious food. Them pretzels were calling my name tho...

Really bad service. Asked to order food, when we asked for a beer the server got very angry.. ?? Can we not order beer and food? Avoid.

A little taste of Hamburg in Paris. I'm glad I found this gem on yelp, a good mix of 20-30 something's.
