Like any parent, leaving your baby somewhere for the first time is a big deal, especially when they end up spending so much of their early life there. Over time, this place has become a really trusted and important part of our routine. Even with the recent change in directors, the level of care and communication has stayed consistent. The staff has always been very communicative with us, and we've really appreciated how open and responsive they are about how our daughter is doing day to day. It's clear that the team cares about the kids and works hard to create a safe, supportive environment. Our daughter is happy there, and as parents that means everything. The director, Christina, is very mean and has no patience for any thing that requires special care . She gets annoyed very easily and shows zero compassion for parents with a special needs child. The director is, in my opinion, not someone who can handle special needs children and does not have patience, directed specifically toward the parents. I will not be taking my son here and hope parents with special needs children read this berfor going through what i just endured. Even the employees are rude and they do not seem to care about making me feel comfortable with them, which is important since i am leaving my son with them for a length of time. His first day they had lost my son's teddy bear, which he takes everywhere with him and when i asked about it, they replied with an attitude saying "a teddy bear?" "What teddy bear?"... it was a condescending rude tone and even before then, I was trying to talk to one of the girls and she walked away when I was speaking to her about my son. I do not feel they have the caring, compassion rgat is needed to run a daycare. Very strict, cold and not at all a place I would want my son to go to.

My son began attending daycare at the ELC just after his first birthday. He is now moving over to the ELC's preschool and my younger son is starting their preschool this month. I could not imagine entrusting anyone else with my children. I really feel as though my son's teacher is a partner in our parenting. She is a wealth of knowledge and I have learned so much from her. My son absolutely adores her. The ELC also has regular parenting classes on topics ranging from nutrition to discipline. Since the kids didn't come with instruction manuals, I really appreciate having an extra resource to help me be a better parent. The school has cameras, which I appreciate very much because it made me feel better to see my babies while I was at work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this school. I had enrolled my younger Daughter at Country Dawn, and I do have a preference for Kids Way even although Country Dawn is closer to where I live. I had also enrolled my older daughter at a very reputable (and expensive) daycare in Eastlake area of Seattle. I still have preference, love, and high praise for Kids Way. The two-classroom space makes it more intimate, but the organization makes it seem like a bigger/well run school.
