He never cries and clings to my leg at drop off like he did in with the previous babysitter he went to. In fact, he likes it so much here that he walks me to the door every morning and literally shoves me out the door and goes in before I can tell him goodbye. The staff is friendly, and I have not seen a grumpy face yet! I always get a hello and a good morning from whomever is in the office in the morning, and my son teachers always make a point to say hello and tell my son good morning. The staff is always so amazing about informing me what goes on with my son and what he does during the days and ways he's been improving overtime. And the director, Ty is absolutely phenomenal! She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! It's a friendly atmosphere all the way around.

Who is she to tell a child that he doesn't exist? Maybe that little girl believed in him, just like children believe in Santa or the Easter Bunny. She has no business deciding who the children should believe in. The owner and the teacher in the school age room has no patience with children with special needs. The children are forced to take naps. If they're too old for naps or have ADHD they'd better be able to lay in one place quietly with no book or puzzle for almost 2 hours. If not they will get screamed at and punished for acting up and told they need to sleep. There is no learning and development at this place. It is definitely just a daycare and not a place to learn and grow. The kids are all crammed in the same age group all the way from toddler to 7 years of age. The good teachers are moved around and aren't given main teacher positions. The ones with no personality or warmth toward the children are the main teachers. When a teacher has never been seen smiling at the children, they have no place being a daycare provider. Many times I observed children crying because they had their feelings hurt or they're sad because their parent is gone and they are punished for being babies and sent to sit alone and other children are not allowed to talk to them vs giving the child a hug and tell them it's ok. Is a hug really that difficult? There is no warmth or caring for the children besides from the owners husband who isn't there very often. Do your research and read the other reviews on ksl and many other child care sites. Also look up findings for this daycare that are past 2 years old. They don't paint a pretty picture. There are many other day cares such as in home ones that have teachers with hearts and you can feel much safer leaving them with someone that isn't mentally abusive to children. The field trips are a joke. If your child misbehaves twice in one week, they lose field trips two weeks away with no chance of getting it back with good behavior. The only kids that go on the fun field trips are the kids in 1st grade and higher. (schoolagers)The rest get an old movie that has been released on dvd with no popcorn or drink and occasional trips that are nothing as fun compared to the schoolager trips. If your child isn't perfectly behaved 100% of the time they will never get a field trip. That goes back to my comment about naps, if they cannot sit still for close to 2 hours without a book or a puzzle, there will be no field trip because they acted out while being forced to lay still on a cot.

I am a stay at home mother, but I used to be a Child Psychology professor. After I enrolled my child in this preschool I quickly regretted my decision. The management is the worst. The director/owner is clearly in it for the money ONLY! She once had the stupid nerve to tell me that she had been a preschool teacher once and COMPLETELY HATED it!!! What? You hated working with children yet you own a preschool/daycare??? Numerous times I would walk into the school and overhear the director (her office is by the front door) making fun of some poor family or even worse an actual student. I was blown away by all the horrible rude comments coming out of her mouth. I noticed that my kid would shrink away from the director and her assistant whenever they were by. He told me that they were the "mean ones" and that they hate children. I asked him why he thought that and he said that he heard the director say that a few times. I enrolled my child in this preschool because I thought it was a real preschool. Its not. The classrooms are supposed to be divided by age group. To save money the director will combine classes then send teachers home. So some poor teacher will end up having children of all age levels and be by herself. She will fill a classroom with as many children as legally possible. All just to save money. Numerous times I'd walk into my sons class and there would be children every where and the teacher would be by herself. Children ages 2 1/2 to no joke, 5-6 years old. That is a HUGE age difference and that poor teacher is expected to be able to teach them all on their own age level? Yeah, right! I walked into my sons classroom just in time to hear the director tell the teacher she had made the "Dumb, Stupid" decision to let the kids play with playdough. Playdough is "Messy and shouldn't be encouraged to be played with here". I'd walk in during nap time and hear teachers up and down the hall screaming at the children to go to sleep. Literally screaming. I asked my sons teacher why they do that and she told me if the child doesn't sleep the director/director assistant will come in and scream at the child. I've come in to pick up my child and have seen the director or her assistant down in some poor child's face yelling at them and screaming at them because the child did something to make them mad. My son wasn't learning very much here and while observing my sons class a few times I've noticed that the teacher was too busy changing diapers and working with potty training children. Children who should have been in the classroom down the hall, but whose own teachers had been sent home to save money. This school looks nice and pretty on the inside and they keep it clean. BUT there is no love for children here. Only the greedy need for money. Unfortunately I had a number of friends whose children were enrolled here too. They've all had the same or worse experiences. I've contacted a few agencies to complain about this place. I was told they've had MANY complaints about this daycare. My child and my friends children have since all been removed from this place. I know its conveniently located, but your child deserves more then this place. Every child should feel loved and safe at school or with whoever is taking care of them. This is something they don't get at The Growing Tree.
