We used to drive to a kid friendly and kiddie decor hair salon 40 mins away towards Fleming Island until we found Kidz Cutz, which is on CR 210, just 8 Minister from our home! It gets busy from Friday afternoons and especially Saturday! You can schedule your child's appointment online through their online system & pick the stylist too. Ms. Cynthia who is the daughter of the owner, is often busy and booked most frequently. It's understandable since she's been around since the opening and is really good. We've also had the other stylists and they're fantastic too. There's a punch card so after the 10th or so visit there is a discount. On the back of the card they notate your child's hairstyle or specs (mostly for male clients) on which number trimmer to use. There's a small play area where the kids can wait and your child can pick a DVD to watch during their cut. The seats appease the kid crowd (I.e. fire truck, car,etc.). Older kids can sit on regular chairs and play on the salon's Xbox. At the back of the salon there's a station where girls can get a manicure, thought that was cool. read more

It would've been nice for them to answer their phone, so I didn't waste my time driving there. The place is super welcoming for kids. My son got his first haircut here and was super nervous. They work fast and buzz the hair into a decent cut (in case your kid flips and they can't finish) then they go in and cut it to a style and perfect it. My son sat on my lap so the hair closest to me was a little uneven which could have been remedied by them asking me to turn him. We will however be back. They had cars and trucks to play with, bubbles, massagers to get them used to the buzzer sound/feel. And video games for older kids! Such a great place for kids to actually look forward to going. read more

What a wonderful experience! The entire staff here is exceptional. My 20 month old son received a terrible first haircut from a different barber shop and Miss Lorraine was able to quickly schedule my son an appointment with Miss Cynthia to fix it. Miss Cynthia was so kind to my son and gave him a great haircut! She was patient and took extra time to make sure my son was comfortable. In addition to Miss Lorraine and Miss Cynthia, the two men working were also very friendly and sweet to my son. I can't say enough good things about this business. So disappointed:-(. I've left two voice messages and never got a returned call. I called a third time and someone did pick up and quickly asked if they could call me back. They hung up right after I said yes so I couldn't even given them my phone number. I was so excited to see a kids hair salon close to palm coast. I guess I'm either going to have to drive to Sanford or Jacksonville. I wanted my son's first hair cut to be a good experience especially since I need him to get completely buzzed due to a cultural ceremony. I gave them 2 stars because it's a kids salon. Absolutely love this place!!! They were amazing with my children (4yr old little girl & 2yr old little boy). Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Lorraine knew exactly what to do to distract my little guy & keep him with a smile on his face. Not impressed. Brought my 9 year old daughter in for a trim. Kind of a weird experience. The 1st lady that cut her hair seemed a little annoyed we had interrupted her visit with her friend. She was nice enough but the entire time she was cutting my daughter's hair she asked one question.. how old are you? For a child hair dresser, she could have been friendlier. When I complained because my daughter's hair was significantly shorter in the front than the back the other lady came over and fixed it but her hair ended up being much shorter than we requested. When finished, they did a hasty braid, dumped glitter on her head and charged us $20. We won't be back, and it's a shame because it's a great concept. read more

Love this place. They cut my sons hair perfect every time. Sometimes my son is in a mood for a cut and sometimes he is not, but they find ways to Entertain him no matter what.
