The volunteers were all phenomenal! ! The staff was a mix of adults that were neurotypical and adults with special abilities! The volunteer staff you could tell enjoyed the visitors and helped wherever they could! I was pleased by 2 security staff circulating the floor throughout the day I am however disappointed that the Healthyville cafe is vending machines that today decided to glitch and not provide the food after paying for a sandwich. The staff called the vendor but I was never refunded the cost. The museum should also reconsider the amount of leaves that they have put on the floor- it is very slippery for new child walkers and older adults. Let alone a pain for the cleaning crew.... I'm going to miss it when I have to go back to work but I know our nanny will continue to bring my son and eventually my daughter as well!

This is a great maritime center and aquarium!…read more They have a seal show centered in the seals' health care and our show had the veterinarians there doing examinations and applying eye drops. Everyone was told the animals histories and why they were still there. One of the seals is blind and they explained how it is able to still negotiate their living space. The hands touch areas are well monitored with staff and again explanations of the different species was provided! Hand wash and dry stations were all around prior to and after touching animals. The exhibits were thoughtfully planned out and large enough for multiple person viewing. I would have like more sitting areas in some of the halls for us older folks watching independent children who wanted to hang out watching the meerkats or owls or birds. The fish tank area with the sea turtles was magnificent! The jelly fish exhibit so relaxing and zen with the background music. The new puffin exhibit is a combination of live puffins and then video presentations of their living areas in Maine! For me 2 year old granddaughter to be attentive for 4 hours was spectacular- thank you!

They brought music and items for games and helped us to have a really great time! It is EXHAUSTING running around in those balls. I took away a star because the balls kept losing air and needed to be refilled after games. The guys said they get new balls annually, so some of them were showing age I guess. Follow the signs. Thereis parking to the side of the main house. This visit had a tour of plants . There is a pond, fire pit and picnic tables throughout the area.it is a nature preserve park with many native plants along with some for sale. I suggest wearing a hat and sunscreen. While there are paths, sturdy shoes or work boots are good too along with a bottle of water. I did sera sign for bathrooms as well. They have a compost pile on the side.if you happen to have peelings from vegetables feel free to drop them off on your visit and learn how they make black gold for the soil.

We had a group of about 15 Cub scouts there finishing the ferns and animal related topic badge. The lady who gave a lesson about how to track or discover animals around us during our daily life, but the lesson was in a small room with no AC. The boys were not interested in the discussion at all. The session was informative to the parents, but the lady seemed unable to handle younger kids. We then took a nature walk outside and the boys were very into the hike. The trail was clearly marked and easy to access by foot. Parking lot was relatively small. Overall it was an okay experience.
