I've driven by this place so many times and must admit, I wasn't sure it was opened. Wrong! Just pay attention to the website and hours. The staff was great and the go karts were operating well. The appearance of the outside isn't the greatest and appears dull. Go-karts were fun and they gave ample time to drive them around a level track. When go inside, there are old arcade games, think 80's original games. Some areas are tight to get through as squeezed some tables along the middle. There are two other rooms with more games. The area with playground inside had newer version of games that I didn't see til I was about to leave. No one tells you much about what's around. We then decided try mini golf, it was pretty colorful and two of courses weren't working properly. They did inform us at beginning but there was not a discount or anything offered because of that. You then had leave main building and walk around the back. When walked in, the attendant walked out and didn't say much. We had to wait a few minutes for someone come back so we could get started. It didn't take long to get through courses. Overall it was ok experience, being u familiar with the area and not finding much else in way of entertainment with two kids, it helped pass some time. read more

We didn't actually stay. It was raining outside so maybe that's why it was so busy but it was PACKED. I saw what looked like 3 birthday parties, and I was squeezing between people to try to get around. It was also very dark. I brought my 2.5 year old and we left right away because I didn't want to lose her in the crowd and there wasn't any space for her to play. We will try again another time, when it isn't rainy, to see if that helps. read more

Nice for families with small children. Indoor video games. Staff helpful. Single car track for smaller children to drive themselves. Nice slow speed for them. Faster track with two seaters for adults to drive small children. Non working steering wheel adjustable for small children to feel like they are driving. read more

Great ambiance inside this place, like the family fun centers I remember as a kid back in the 80s/90s. Stuff still operates on tokens and gives physical tickets, old school . Love that they have pinball,beer and vintage arcade games as well to cater to adults. Awesome value, a huge indoor jungle gym for the kids, and multiple rooms. Yes, it's a little tight in areas like the main lobby, but I would rather have it packed with games rather than spaced out. Lots to do for the kids ,and did I mention a really good value? read more

I thought Kidstar in Port Charlotte, FL was open. The hours say its open 12-7 on Sunday. We arrived at Kidstar and there was 1. No cars in the parking lot and 2. the open sign was on inside the window when it was not open. Nobody picked up the phone. It was the day after Christmas, Dec. 26, 2021 but I understand staff might want to take a day off on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 but all the schools are closed and kids are on Winter Break. All the games are old and half broken, the mini gulf needs an update it's also half broken, the carts are... alright. I went there to rent the go karts. Mine started sputtering on the second lap before failing at the pit lane. The attendant said " well your time was almost up anyway" the reason for 3 stars is my niece's kart ran well and she had a good time. I won't go back read more

Absolute worst customer service. It's an "80s style arcade system not because the owner loves the era but due to the fact that they decide to cut expenditures which is clear with the customer service. Some guy with gold bracelets and tacky clothing is just standing around allowing his employees to stand around while the customer line builds. One was on their phone while two more were taking and eating leaving only one clearly new hire to struggle with assisting the customers. Putt putt course was falling apart everywhere. Our family of five spent a few hours at Kidstar on our last visit to Port Charlotte. Kids had a ton of fun on the go-carts and playing all the old school video games. The owner was very nice and told us about all the rare games he had. The place has been there for 20 years! I love supporting small businesses and everyone should to. They might not have all the bells and whistles as a corporate chain but that shouldn't matter. We had so much fun and the kids wanted to go back! We definitely will next time in town. read more

Went to play mini golf with my date. $14 for the two of us, 11 holes. We had to leave the building where we purchased the tickets, walk outside, down a dark alley (It was night, the lights were not working, my date commented how she was a little freaked out and wanted me to walk in front) and in to another building to get to the golf course. Once there, we were given clubs and balls, and when my date asked about music, we were told it was broken, so there would be none. We golfed and found that many of the gimmicks and automated attractions on the holes were broken, some even posted with signed that read "Out of Order" which was disappointing. Overpriced, dilapidated, and too short to be enjoyable. I would not recommend it at all! read more

Kidstar is fun all our kid's love coming and playing. We always spend about 2 hours here and they love it.

One star for a/c. Don't waste your time or money. More than half the arcade games are broken, carpet is a tripping hazard.

To be honest this place is over priced, it's not as fun as you would think, and the arcade is extremely limited... I wouldn't want to pay $1 for a lame arcade game ... once and never again at least at chuckie cheeses you can buy the tokens in bulk for more value read more

We each bought a ticket for $6 each and we go to ride go karts and everything is going fine then I accidently bump my friend on the go kart and the guy says no bumping so we say ok, then on accident my friend bumps into me because his steering on the go kart was messed up and the guy made us drive into the building and made us get off after 1 lap, and he wouldn't give us a refund.
