Also, the directors on staff are wonderful and truly listen to the needs of all students and parents.

We started our infant daughter at 14 weeks old at this Goddard campus while on the wait list for…read morethe owners' other school which is under construction in South Tampa. We had issues starting on Day 1 when we arrived and teachers were not wearing masks in the infant room. I told my concerns to the Director at the time who assured me they would wear masks moving forward. From then on we always saw her teachers in masks. We had several other issues including a lead teacher who did not provide our daughter any tummy time for several weeks, which we only noticed was happening after she stopped rolling over at home. On several pick up days, the fill in teachers in the afternoons were also using the iPads to show videos to our daughter. We also had some communication issues with her initial lead teacher Re later to scheduled and feeding. When the school director changed from Michelle to Ashley we had a discussion and Ashley addressed all of our concerns. They also brought in a new lead teacher for the infant room - Ms. Jessica - who we really loved and still think is a great infant teacher. The final straw for us, though, was 10 weeks after enrolling when we received the attached notification via the school's app on a Monday evening without any prior notice or warning. When I went to drop off our daughter the next morning, the director confirmed that vaccinated staff and parents would not be required to wear masks although they may still choose to. From what I experienced no one was checking vaccination status at the door. I told her we weren't comfortable with it, and she said that the decision was made by the owners the day before without any warning to anyone - teachers and staff as well. We weren't comfortable with this abrupt policy change, and I took our daughter home. I wrote to the director and asked that they reconsider requiring masks for teachers and parents in the infant room, otherwise we'd have to withdraw our daughter. I don't think this is an unreasonable request. They also already require you to clean your hands and put booties over your shoes to enter the infant room - why is a mask out of the question? The owner wrote me back and said they wouldn't be changing the mask policy and understood our decision to leave the school. The abrupt policy change without warning really put us in a horrible position. Thankfully we have grandparents who live close by and can help care for our daughter while we look for another solution, but if we didn't we would have no choice but to leave our daughter in a situation that we feel is too risky at this point. As a daycare which is intended to provide childcare for working parents, the school's actions have affected my job. Their actions certainly lost my trust and confidence that their school is managed and operated with my daughters best interests in mind. I am giving the school two stars because I do think the director and many teachers mean so well and do care about your children, but I think this school is experiencing several growing pains and that their management has some learning to do re: parent communication and relations. The same owners will be running the South Tampa campus when it opens as well and so we will no longer be attending that campus.

Why 5 stars? Because we will definitely miss taking our son here…read more --- --- --- As of this writing, our son is about 2.5 years old and had been going to Kiddie Academy since he was about 5 months. The only reason I say all of this in the past tense is because we just moved out of state. If not for that, we definitely would have kept him here indefinitely. Back when my wife was pregnant and we were touring all of the daycares in the area, we truly could not believe how expensive they were. Literally, the cost of daycare was the same as a monthly payment for a luxury sports car. Heck, it was even on par with my first mortgage. How does anyone afford this?! But fortunately, while still cheap by no means, Kiddie Academy was definitely the most affordable option in the area. And as first time parents, we *immediately* learned that not only was tuition worth it, but we were probably under-paying. Being able to leave our son in the hands of these lovely people for up to 50 hours a week was invaluably helpful for two working parents. We knew he was in great hands and we knew he was having a lot more fun at school than he would have been at home with us. If you're in the Carrollwood/Northdale area, be sure to stop by for a tour here before you decide on visiting another school. We are excited for our new adventure but sad for our son to leave his first group of best friends. This is my last review of a Tampa Bay business. I wanted to save a place that was incredibly important to us for my last review, and there was no place more crucial to our family than Kiddie Academy over the last two years. Now, it's off to writing about a million businesses in the Houston area!

I'm very disappointed with our overall experience and especially with how our account and refund…read morerequest have been handled. There were several concerns during our time at this daycare. We experienced situations where teachers were yelling at children, as well as concerns about adequate supervision. On multiple occasions, my child came home with bite marks. I understand that accidents can happen in a childcare setting, but repeated incidents raised concerns for us about supervision and how these situations were being handled. We also had concerns with classroom management and communication. At one point, my child became so uncomfortable that he was crying and saying he was scared to go to daycare. We ultimately requested a classroom change, and our experience improved significantly with different teachers. We had some wonderful teachers who were kind and caring, and we appreciated them very much. Unfortunately, our most recent issue has been financial. We provided more than the required two-week notice and were previously given a $260 vacation credit for two weeks our child was absent in March. Based on the attendance, tuition, credit, and payments made, there appears to be an overpayment of approximately $256.41. I have provided the daycare with a detailed explanation and calculation and have repeatedly tried to resolve this directly. I have also specifically requested an explanation from the regional director regarding why this matter has not been addressed. I was told by the school director that the regional director has access to all of my emails and the relevant Procare information, yet she has not addressed the matter with me directly. What is particularly frustrating is that I was told by Mrs. Kayla that she believes I am simply asking for a refund of an unused vacation credit. That is not what I am requesting. The $260 vacation credit was already applied to my account and was part of the calculation when determining what I owed. The issue is the resulting account balance and apparent overpayment after applying the credit and accounting for the days my child actually attended. If the regional director has reviewed the emails and Procare records, I would expect the information to clearly show what I am actually disputing. I have asked for a straightforward explanation of how the final balance was calculated, but I have yet to receive one. I even offered an alternative resolution--using the amount toward several days of individual care if issuing a refund was administratively difficult. Overall, our experience has been very mixed. We had teachers who genuinely cared about our child, and we are grateful for them. However, the concerns regarding supervision, repeated biting incidents, teachers yelling at children, communication, and now the handling of an apparent overpayment have left us very disappointed. I'm sharing our experience so other parents can make an informed decision and, importantly, carefully keep track of attendance, payments, credits, and communications regarding their child's care. I will update when I hear back from the Regional Director about the refund.

He gets to go outside on the playground twice a day usually, which is his favorite thing. I particularly love that they prepare breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack for the kids each day, and my super-picky toddler (at least, picky with us) eats ALL of it! One day recently, they told us he had seconds of green beans, which he will not touch when we try to feed him at home. Diapers and wipes are also included in the tuition, which I'm grateful for, because it's one less thing I have to worry about when packing his bag each morning -- I really just am packing up a change of clothes for him. We send him with a sheet and blanket for naptime, and they give those back to us each Friday so we can wash them over the weekend. In our year and a half here, we've only lost one outfit (shirt and pants), and had a white shirt get pretty destroyed by paint, but that's to be expected from any daycare I think. I have learned to almost exclusively send him in dark-colored clothing, and I buy his clothes at Once Upon a Child so we aren't super upset if something gets lost. We celebrated his birthday earlier this month, and when I walked in that morning, every single staff member wished him a happy birthday! There is a little bit of a language barrier at times with some of his teachers, but I can tell they care for my little boy and that matters more to me. I know he's still adjusting to his new classroom, but overall, the most important thing is that my son is happy and healthy, and he seems to enjoy coming here.

After this I started getting reports daily over stupid things and was getting concern, they were targeting my son. I called corp concern they reassure me this is not the case. Fast forward April 1 2024, I saw the police was at daycare when I went to go pick by 2 year old son up. When I walked through the doors the director was calling me about what was going on. I guess the teacher was aggressively handling my child and another parent saw it was super concern. The daycare DID NOT CALL THE POLICE! This parent sat there for 2 hours and were the ones that called the police. This daycare wanted the owner show up before calling the police. Bowman has created a culture of teachers and caregivers that excel at making the children feel comfortable and loved, while the parents feel supported and "heard." I'll never forget the first day of school for my daughter, who was of course crying for me not to leave, and the teacher (whom I simply love and trust, as I do all of them) looked at me and said "the faster you make your departure, the more easy it will be for her."
