Two of my kiddos have been going to TC Naz (Tipp City Pre-School Learning Center) for over a year…read more They both enjoy their time at TC Naz, have made friends and have been well cared for by the staff. In my opinion, TC Naz is not the most education forward or highly-organized facility, but I can say the care for the kids comes first. They have taken good care of my kids and provided them a clean, supervised place to learn, play and grow. The current staff has shown nothing but love and kindness to my entire family.

It turned into the worst experience we have ever had with childcare. Starting with most of the staff. When I dropped off my infant son in the mornings, most of the time the main teacher kept her back to me, did not greet me or my son. Not a nice way for my baby to start his day! She is anything but maternal and friendly, as an infant teacher should be. As a whole, they are very understaffed and I could sense the stress it caused and saw it in the lack of good care my children were getting. I had both of my kids enrolled there and they rarely brought home artwork. The "preschool" is really more of a babysitting gig. Except for a couple of very good teachers there, most of them just sit around, not interacting with the kids, not seeming to like their jobs, disengaged and not trying to get to know the children or entertain them. The WORST part of the whole experience was the fact that my three year old daughter was physically bullied by a five year old girl in her class. Yes, they have a five year old in class with three year olds. There were three instances of physical attacks on my daughter. The school did not take it seriously or do what they said they would do to protect my daughter. We met with the Preschool Committee because the Director was especially useless and truly only defended the bully. And not only that but the teachers and the Director Jim also started to retaliate against my three year old! Writing up notes about if she took a toy from another child, or raised her voice! When I never even received a documented note about the time the five year old bully bent my daughter's finger back so far that it caused her pain, and it was intentional! I was shocked. But I was even more shocked when during the meeting with the Preschool Committee, one of the "christian" gentleman on the committee who was seated directly across the table from me lost his temper and stood up quickly, leaned as close as he could get to me, slammed his hand down on the table SO loud, and shouted at me. I was horrified and scared for my own safety. The Director was seated right there and I immediately asked if that behavior is acceptable and he just shrugged. I pressed him for an answer and he only said "I can't speak for him." These are supposed to be Christians. These are the members of the Preschool Committee! I could go on and on but I will stop there. Avoid this center at all costs. They are cheap, and it's for a reason. Crap care for your kids. Pay more and send your kids to a center when they will actually be nurtured, learn, and be kept safe. My children did not receive that level of care here at Tipp City Church of the Nazarene Preschool. I have careful documentation of all my allegations here to back up each claim. This all happened about a month ago, so I have had time to cool down from being angry and this review is written solely out of my concern to prevent other children and families from ending up in a nightmare like what we experienced.

He learned so much! I loved the class parties and his teacher, Miss Joyce, is just the best! He attended summer camp there this summer and LOVED it! He brought home art projects each day, they got to make their snacks which were themed to match what they were learning about that week, and he always had tons of stories to share. I would definitely recommend this preschool to anyone living in the area! They start as early as 18 months with a Kids Day Out Program. I found the cost to be very reasonable compared to others and it warms my heart that he's learning stories from the bible and praise songs on top of regular learning.

The staff at St John's were all incredibly kind, caring and attentive. The children who attended St John's ECP were happy to be there and enjoyed their time there. Our children looked forward to going to school each and every day. The teachers prepare the well children for a successful transition into elementary school. I have heard from other parents about how teachers know the children who attended St John's ECP because they were well prepared to start kindergarten. We experienced the same thing with our two children as they entered kindergarten. I can not say enough about my appreciation and love for St John's ECP!!! Please consider this preschool program for your child!!!!

I truly believe this is because the staff at St. John's prepared them so well for the transition. The attention, care and support my children needed to succeed was very evident throughout the halls of the school. The entire staff care a great deal about the development of every child and it's very clear when you see the smiles on their faces. I think every parent should look at St. John's when considering a pre-K program for their child, as it is one of the best!

My son has only attended for two weeks, but so far we've been nothing but impressed!…read more About two months ago we reached out to schedule a meeting. Laurie told us all about the school and answered any questions. She gave us the opportunity to visit the classrooms and see how things run. My husband went to a Montessori school as a child, so he experienced a flood of happy memories. It was everything he dreamed of for our active little boy. We returned the next week with our little boy so he could join a class. The staff wanted to see how he fit in. Everything felt good, so we moved forward with enrollment. He's currently doing day care, but will do preschool this coming fall. Our plan is to do three full days a week (you can do full or half days, 3-5 days a week). To start the process of getting our son comfortable, they like to begin with five days. If possible, they like for one parent to stay with the child so they can leave early (probably a half day to start). This is allowing our son a smooth transition. Every child is different, so things can be adjusted depending on how they handle it. I look forward to posting again later once we've spent more time here and learn more. But we love this place so far!!

In response to Haylee B's post. As a current parent at…read moreSpring Valley Academy, I feel it's important to offer a more balanced perspective in response to this review. First, this is a private Christian school, and families who enroll here do so with the understanding that the school operates with specific values, expectations, and standards. That includes dress guidelines and behavioral expectations that are clearly communicated to parents and students. Regarding dress code concerns, the policies are intended to promote modesty, consistency, and a focused learning environment--not to single out or target students. Dress expectations are common in private and faith-based schools and are part of the structure many families specifically seek out. On safety and administration: in my experience, the school takes student well-being seriously. It's also important to recognize that disciplinary matters are often handled privately, so one account may not reflect the full context or any actions taken behind the scenes. As for facilities, the claim that the school is in poor condition does not align with what many families see. The high school wing was recently built, and the campus continues to be maintained to support students' academic and extracurricular needs.

I remember the church seeming very large and beautiful...however, it looks quite small now. The school is now a public charter school, and the Catholic students attend at Corpus Christi. It's my understanding that masses are only held here on certain days, rather than the 7-days-per-week schedule of my childhood. It's still a pretty church with a neat wood ceiling and modern stained glass windows. It would be nice location for a wedding, and there's a reception hall which shares the same parking lot.
