My daughter has been going here for a little over a year. We moved here from ohio a year and a half ago. She asks me to bring her here because I don't let her play with most of the kids in the neighborhood. Kids aren't as sweet and innocent as they should be anymore. I try to protect and keep my daughter's innocence as much as possible. She's an only child. I have let many things slide that have happened at this center. Things I could have reported. I understand that people make mistakes. I'm pissed off because the teachers decided on Juneteenth to allow our kids to watch a Pg13 movie with extreme harassment and racism of a little black girl like my daughter without asking our permission. My daughter is 7. We don't watch movies like that (Ruby Bridges). We don't discuss things like that in our home because it's too early. She has dolls and toys of all colors. There was no reason to show kids that movie. Adults put racism in childrens minds. On top of that, they weren't competent enough to explain the movie to her where she understood what was happening and why. As soon as I picked her up, she said mom, we watched a really inappropriate movie today." I said what happened, she said they played a movie with white people calling a little girl nigger and they wouldn't let the other kids play with her. So I told her she shouldn't have been shown that. Then she asked about 30 minutes later why they hated us so much. Obviously, she was left disturb and confused. I came in the next morning and ask why where they shown that movie to a teacher and then She told Sarah I wanted to know why they showed the movie, Sarah said she had no Idea about the movie. I said I wanted to talk to the head boss about it. I said I've continued to let things slide, but not this time, unreported injuries, letting them watch youtube, tik tok, etc. Sarah spoke to me in a condescending tone as she always does, she brought up the problem they have with my daughter is playing with her kids sync up watch, which is nothing compared to the cell phones other kids have. Ok if she doesn't leave it in her bookbag and is on it ok, take it until it's time to go just like they do kids in school. My issue is don't bring that sht up to me when I'm addressing misconduct of your staff. She continued in her tone saying the teachers said it's on Disney and I've never heard of it and I'm going to watch it, we where trying to educate and empower on Juneteenth, blah blah blah. Out of Akeela and the bee, hidden figures, etc, anything empowering could have been played on Juneteenth except this movie. The movie is Pg 13, shown to kids younger who can't process what's going on and why. It shouldn't have been shown. Furthermore, they have to learn to be more mindful when it comes to what they are exposing children to. Everyone does not raise their children the same. Everything is not ok to just sweep under the rug either.

the owner hides reviews btw this was hidden in google ***Updated 7/23/23: I'm glad you responded and I have screenshot the response as you have fabricated a lot of things. You met with us once and you told us you would review the footage and get back to us to provide proof that an adult was in the room and you, yourself stated that you failed in doing so because you claimed you did everything perfect BUT that. You did mention about privacy of other kids, but then tried to show us footage of the classroom and we declined. Privacy right?Nobody was aggressive with your staff. There is video footage of that. will that also be withheld and vanish like the video proving my daughter was not left unsupervised? You were the only aggressive person in this. I have statements from other parents who had children in your daycare and former employees who also attest to the licensing violations your daycare has committed. You knew that continuing care there was contingent on that footage as her father made that clear. You offered him a job when we met at the end of the meeting so for you to claim anyone was aggressive is ridiculous. He only contacted you after our phone conversation and you threatened to call the police. I cried because I was upset. We will miss Miss Imee and a few of the other teachers there because they genuinely cared for my daughter. You care about the money you make off these children and not about their well-being. Not once were we rude or disrespectful although you were yelling on the phone, constantly cutting me off, and threatening. You told me to pick up my daughter immediately, failed to have open communication with a parent who has valid reasons for having concern about the safety of their child when she has more than once been injured and communication at your facility has failed. You acknowledged that you are short staffed and proper documentation had not happened. Stop making up lies. I have statements and other people's testimonies of their experiences with you and your company which will be given to licensing. You do not care about these children or your employees as you fired the teacher involved instead of coaching her when you stated multiple times you were understaffed. Statements from other parents and former staff state that anytime licensing is mentioned you cut ties because you are afraid of being caught for your violations. You are informed when licensing comes, so you make sure everything is in order for that time and then it goes back to how it was. I have a statement from a former employee stating they were left alone with 12+ infants.** The owner told me my child is no longer welcome because I filed a complaint after my child was hurt by another child because they were left unsupervised along with 4 other infants. We were told the teacher responsible was in the room, but had her back turned. We met with the owner and requested additional footage showing at least another adult was in the room. We were given the run around and told to give her time to retrieve the footage. When inquiring again about the footage and asking to again meet with the owner, I was told she didn't have time for me and that my daughter is no longer welcome because I filed a complaint about the neglect. I was told to pick up my child immediately although they were paid for the day. Uoon arriving to pick up for my child, the assistant director questioned me on why I filed a complaint. when I asked her what she would have done if the same thing happened to her child or grandchild, she told me she would have gotten over it. I asked so I'm just supposed to get over it? and she said that's what I would do and then told me to leave. The day the incident happened I had to request an injury report otherwise I would not have received one. When I questioned this, I was told it was because they were understaffed. I do not recommend leaving your child here. They left my child unsupervised and she was injured. When I expressed my concern about communication and requested a meeting, I was told they don't have time for us to address the concerns of safety for my child. Unacceptable

Jenny M. babysat our 7 year old daughter in our hotel room at the Aria from 5pm to midnight one night. She was friendly, responsive, on-time, and communicative. I did a quick call with Jenny before she babysat for us and I appreciated that she asked about our screen time policy and our daughter's interests. Jenny then brought relevant activities with her - for example, my daughter loved creating sticker art with Jenny. Working with Nanny's and Granny's was easy and simple. Their prices are a bit steep at $55/hour, but I valued the peace of mind that using a babysitter that had been vetted by a reputable agency brought. We can't say enough good things about the staff and communication. As a new mom, I was nervous to send my then-18mo old into a daycare but the teachers alleviated my concerns. I still remember the first day when we dropped him off, I received a video of him *not crying* and singing with his new classmates, within 15 minutes. The teachers work hard to take care of the children and I can feel the love they pour into each student. The staff are extremely patient. We have a picky eater and Ms. Chrissy and the teachers worked to get him to eat and really encouraged him to try new things. The teachers make every effort to get kids to engage and get along. They address all my concerns and work diligently to prepare my pre-k student for kindergarten. I love to see his writing progress and his vocabulary explode! We love all the updates and newsletters. We especially love the pictures and videos the teachers send. I love the app we use to communicate and receive updates for the kids throughout the day. While this location is small, I also think it adds to the family feel and all the teachers know the children/parents. I feel safe sending my kids to this school and do not hesitate to recommend them to future families. Not only is my son learning Spanish and sign-language in her class, but he is now reading better than my 6yo who attends 1st grade at a CCSD elementary school. A year ago, my son was struggling with his speech, expressing himself, and was socially awkward. Not anymore. Thanks to his teacher, he is very self-expressive and has so many friends throughout the facility! Ms. Faith finds fun and cool ways to incorporate STEM learning into their everyday curriculum. She also ensures to teach and celebrate a wide range of cultures and holidays such as Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Lunar New Year! The classroom is filled with a diverse group of children so it is important to her that she does something special every month to celebrate them! My 6yo attends the facility on days that CCSD schools are out (holidays, spring/summer breaks). She has grown close with other children there and when I pick her up at the end of the day, she tells me she had an "Awesome day!" The summer break camp for the older kids is great because they have field trips planned out every week. The front desk staff are by far the best group of people, who are always willing to assist families if needed. More specifically, Ms. Kelsey and Ms. Kristen have truly been very helpful and supportive! The quality of care at CLA is top notch. Thank you CLA for everything you've done for my family!
