I used to dread calling other taxis because they would be so late because the driver had a hard time finding the address. Not so with Carmelo. He was always on time and he really knows his way around. He was even able to show me a couple of shortcuts to and from work. His vehicle is clean, he is very professional and friendly, and he is so knowledgeable. I always learn something from him. My car was frequently in the shop so I became a regular customer. Sal was responsive and made sure the driver was there. Our flight was delayed but the driver was still there. Same charge and great driver with the car seats strapped in by the fire department. A second surprise came when the car picking me up was an Uber. So apparently, they used my $36 to book me an $8 Uber ride. The Uber driver was also surprised.

Upon arrival at the vehicle, airport staff assisted by handling my wheelchair while I transferred independently. Throughout this process, the driver repeatedly complained aloud that he did not want to transport me because of my wheelchair. His comments were unnecessary. When we reached my destination, the driver removed my wheelchair from the trunk and deliberately placed it in a parking spot far away from the vehicle--out of my reach and with no safe way for me to access it. When I asked him to place it closer so I could reassemble it, he refused, stating, "It's not my problem." He then walked around the vehicle and pressured me to "hurry up" because he had another pickup, despite knowingly leaving me without access to my mobility device. My grandma came out to assist me with my wheelchair. After the incident, I reported the driver to ground transportation.I was informed that his excuse for refusing to bring my wheelchair within reach was that he "didn't want it to scratch his car." He also chatted quite a bit which I can appreciate most of the time but for whatever reason that morning, I just wanted to kind of zone out in my solitude.
