I love this center and I hope they get the chance to remodel and rebuild their center because they deserve so much more. They love our children like their own, and communication goes a long way, I communicate all the time with everyone here and share my thoughts and interests with them as it helps them understand how I raise my son, giving them my perspective. I come from a small family with not much of a village to help me with my son, so communication with them is so fluid and easy. Not only is my son getting the care and love he needs, but he's learning so much at the center as well, it's preparing him for grade school. I can 100% say I feel safe with him here. They use brightwheel, an app to send you pictures/videos throughout the day and they also have updates on nap time, meal time, incident reports like when the kids get booboos. It's so helpful. I absolutely love Kids Corner! the school and staff is the best . they have plenty staff and many classrooms. I love how they have enough staff so each group is pretty small allowing more time with each student . my baby is with Ms. Pujan ! you guys !!! I am so happy with Kids Corner! My 2 yr old daughter has been attending for almost a year and she loves it here. Mrs. Brenda is her teacher, and I love how much she loves on her kids. Kids Corner is a charming facility with some of the most attentive and caring teachers I've ever met. This is my Son's second week at Kids Corner Learning Center. I honestly couldn't be happier. My Son is autistic with much of his support needs being connected to language/communication. I was very nervous to switch him from the home daycare he was at prior to Kids Corner, but they have made the transition so easy and have assisted me in accommodations and services my Son needs to receive during the day. The Director Melissa has been super communicative with me. His Teacher Ms. Brenda is super communicative as well and open to being a team with her parents, that's been my experience so far. I also met Ms. Yareli who helps with the threes I believe, and she is very kind as well! This has been so important to me and I can't begin to tell them how much I appreciate it. I can truly breathe a sigh of relief knowing he is in good hands. Leaving your kiddo with people is never easy, but especially because my son has support needs. They have made it so easy for me. I highly recommend this school. My daughter loved it here! All the teachers are nice and caring. They really care for the kids and keep parents updated on how the kids are doing every day. My daughter never wanted to leave at pick up. The building is older, but it's kept very clean. They were very flexible with my schedule, which made things a lot easier for me. Kid's Corner is the best preschool in the area! The staff are warm, nurturing, and attentive. They have an enriched learning environment where your child can thrive. My son had Miss Vivian as his teacher, and she is the best. In the time that he has been there, my son's joint attentive skills, interactive play skills, and ability to make transitions has greatly improved! He is so happy when he arrives, and is greeted with smiles and hugs. When it is time to leave, he doesn't want to go! What I love is that they use the Brightwheel app, and send me 6+ pictures a day of my son engaged in learning, attending to storytime with Miss Yareli, creating, and playing. It is very reassuring that my son is engaged in a variety of activities, is learning from the daily lesson plans, and is gaining pivotal skills. This place has a great director, Melissa, and this makes all the difference. I work at a school, so I know. There is an abundance of communication between staff and parents. The employees are warm, happy, and you can tell they love what they do. My son has been to a few other places in the area; my only wish is that I found Kid's Corner sooner! I was nervous when trying to find a preschool for my then-2-year-old. You see, I'm a planner and a researcher ... call it my Type-A personality. I was reviewing local preschools a year before I had decided to take my son out of daycare. I am lucky that I received a recommendation from a family member who's 2 children attended Kids Corner. At that time it was under previous ownership, but I couldn't be any more happy with Subash and the entire Kids Corner teaching staff. Teacher Jackie calmed my nerves as I left my 3 year old alone for the first time in a school setting. I trusted her completely with my little guy, not to mention how extremely patient and caring she was towards him (especially during potty training!!). It definitely made the transition from daycare to school an easy one. We loved her as our first teacher! Then came the "big kids class," as my son liked to call it. He "graduated" from the toddler room to the main room and Teacher Epiphany has been outstanding! My son is learning at an amazing pace and if you can believe it, is starting to read at the age of 4. She keeps him engaged and focused, yet at the same time allows him to be himself (which is, sometimes, a little hyper like a lot of kids are). I am confident that my little guy will enter Kindergarten with a level of comprehension satisfactory of the grade-level. My 3 year old son is going to kids corner since he was 2 and he loves it! The teachers there are very kind and responsible especially Teacher Jackie and Erica we love them so much. Every time my son goes in the morning they cuddle him and hug him to comfort him..the place is always clean and their snacks are very healthy. I cannot emphasize enough the level of care and educational preparation that has been given to my daughter. Do yourself a favor and attempt to enroll your child here. My daughter has attended for a year and a half and both she and I love it. They go out of their way to accommodate, educate and entertain the children on a daily basis. Right when you step through the securely locked door of the school, you are welcomed with a huge colorful classroom setting! There are just so many fun toys and play structures to look at, along with the adorable artwork by the kids in the school. The playground outside is amazingly BIG and spacious. The place is clean, teachers are attentive to your needs, the kids look overly excited and happy....what more could you ask for? I was a first time mom that was touring daycares and preschools for my 18 mo old son and I was scared to leave him. I wanted to make sure the place I chose for him would be safe, secure, warm, and caring. You will definitely get all of this (and much more!) if your child attends this school. Teacher Jackie is soooo sweet and more than I could ever ask for in a teacher. She is very attentive, observant, and knows everything about my son - from what he likes to eat - plain food, nothing with strong flavors or texture, loves fruit; how clean he is - how he doesn't like to touch strange things yet she will keep encouraging him to try new things; how he's quiet in the early part of the week but fast adjusted and social on the latter part of the week; how he's super clingy and attached when dad drops him off yet pretty okay when mom drops him off; EVERYTHING! These are small details that parents usually only know about, but Teacher Jackie knows it all. It touches my heart in so many ways bc it just shows me how much she genuinely cares about my son. I originally decided to place my son in school so he could develop socially. He was in good care with his grandparents but he was one of those kids that were super shy, stood from the outside when he saw other kids play in the playground, and just needed a little more push in that aspect. Kids Corner has helped him grow immensely! Within less than a year, he has developed into a kid that can and knows how to play well with others, versatile with who he chooses to play with, speaks openly to other kids and adults, and more active/social around others. He was also slow in learning to speak bc he wasn't around many people. But within a week or two of being here, we noticed a HUGE difference. If you read the teachers' descriptions on the website, you will see that most have been teaching for a long time with a lot of experience. There is low turnover which means these teachers are actually happy here! The director, Mariessa, has been awesome from even before day 1 (from being waitlisted for a year) to the continuance of his growth a year later. She is always available via email (sends to her cell phone), phone at work, or in person. When I told her my son was scared of the bounce house, she offered to go inside with him to overcome his fear. When he was nervous in smiling and taking school pictures, she tried ways to make him laugh naturally. When meeting Santa or the Easter Bunny, she held his hand, carried him, and talked to him softly about how special they were. When he has trouble sleeping at nap time, the teachers rub his back. When he doesn't eat his lunch, the teachers encourage him to eat more so he can get stronger and build more muscles. My son was scared of ALL these things when he started and now, thanks to the staff here at Kids Corner, he now smiles when doing all these things! I would HIGHLY recommend this school to everyone I know. It has only been a year and he has developed so much socially and academically. I could not have done it without the staff here at Kids Corner, so there is much love and appreciation to each of them. To let you know how personal and caring the staff is, I know all of them by first names and have had private personal conversations with each of them. They also know which parent or grandparent belongs to which kid when getting picked up. And when my son first started the school, they all pretty much took turns holding him and comforting him because he wouldn't stop crying! Now, he just blends in with all the other kids in the playground. :) I am super grateful and blessed to have my son placed in such excellent loving care, and am relieved to know that when my baby daughter is ready for preschool, she will have the same care. read more

All around great preschool. I'm a stay at home mom and I was looking for a preschool for my daughter to learn social skills and to get excited about learning. I couldn't be happier with Kid's Corner. I love the staff. Everyone says hi to you in the morning and teachers give me updates on my daughter's day when I pick her up. It feels like a family. My son went here last year before Kindergarten and he still asks to visit! The teachers here are so loving and trustworthy, I didn't worry one bit when he was in their care. I am really pleased with this preschool. They have a great learning focused facility and great outdoor play space (even for poor weather days!) which was important to us because our girls love playing outside. Epiphany, my daughters teacher, does a lot of hands on activities and experiments which my daughter loves. I love, love, love that she introduces songs, books, art, food and language from many different cultures! We absolutely loved going to Kid's Corner and I would have given 5 stars had it not been for an issue with our final tuition payment on our last month of attendance: we were given a written quote for the last month of payment but then the owner increased it after it was given to us. The teachers are EXCELLENT and LOVING. My child started at 2 years old and Teacher Jackie was patient and kind. I'm so glad she's still there and I hope she's still there when our 2nd one is old enough for Kid's Corner! My son truly learned the social behaviors that are so important at that age. Even when he had problems with these behaviors (grabbing/pulling) the teachers informed me and we worked on it together. My son started kindergarten this month and Teacher Lisa and Teacher Lynn have been his teachers for the past year. They are also patient, loving, and kind. In addition, they have adequately prepared him for the transition to kindergarten. They have a great curriculum with mixture of play and academics. They do a lot of letters and number writing, cutting practice, painting, singing, dancing - a very well-rounded program. I love that I can look back at his work (and there's a LOT of work brought home) and see how much he's progressed particularly in writing his own name. Sometimes they have treats like pizza/cookies. They offer evening care usually 1/mo which is AWESOME and so fun for the kids. They use an app for daily communication - I think it could be better utilized but generally convenient. Tuition tends to increase every year. Overall, a great experience and our family will miss going! read more

Finding a good daycare you can trust and one that you and your child feel comfortable with can be challenging. The very first day we dropped our daughter off to Kids Corner Preschool/Daycare we felt so happy and reassured that we chose the right facility to help watch over, care for and educate our daughter. My daughter raved about how much fun she had that first day and its been that way ever since. She is so proud of all the activities/projects she does there and is always so excited to share her day with us! She loves her teachers - erika and jackie. But really, ALL the staff/teachers there are so welcoming, so kind and helpful to our girl. Our daughter is always impressing us with the new things she has learned and shares with us. I can't say enough good things about Kids Corner. Our son has been attending for about 2 and a half years, and we will be enrolling our daughter as soon as she turns 2! From the very beginning it was clear that each member of the staff worked very hard to get to know our son, and they have always been very caring and loving toward him. He and I are both greeted with a smile every morning by Sheryl, Jackie, and Mariessa, and often one of the teachers will call him over to have a conversation with him, or go over to him when he gets settled. When he was very young and having a hard time letting me go in the mornings, they were incredibly good about gently easing him from me and occupying him with something he'd enjoy. They are thoughtful about which classes they put kids in as they grow out of the toddler room, and the choice they made to put our son in with Epiphany was brilliant. He adores her, and he gets things from being in her class that we aren't good at providing at home (science experiments, process art, etc.). She speaks openly and honestly with him, and with me, which I really appreciate. Recently, they've begun to provide Spanish lessons with Kim, one of the "big class" teachers. Our son LOVES it. Just last night, we were playing a game and picking pieces. He picked red and I picked blue. We were telling my husband which pieces he could be, and our son chimed in, "You can be verde or amarillo." I was blown away!!! Then he said that he and I were rojo and azul. I asked where he learned it, and he said Kim taught him. Then he asked if we could speak in Spanish while we played the game. We did our best with what we knew. :) First, I was impressed that he retained it for so many hours after school. Second, I was really impressed that he randomly used the words without any prompting. Kids Corner really doing such an amazing job, and he's learning SO much. At the same time, he gets a ton of playtime in. I never feel like they're forcing him to not be a kid in the name of academics. So then, the basics: the hours are great for working parents; the cost is really good for the area; the size is awesome -- they have basically 4 classrooms, so there's a lot of variety for the kids and room to breathe; they playground is large with a lot of equipment, and they have a covered patio for days when it's raining or very hot so they can still get in that gross motor time; everything is always clean and in good repair; they work with littles on potty training. After few days I called the director and asked when my kids have spots available. They always say I'll check my list and I will call you back. This is an updated review :) Kids Corner is absolutely amazing. I completely have trust in my daughter's teacher's, especially teachers Erica, Jackie, Rosemary and Ashley. The communication I receive from Erica (almost daily) is super comforting, she sends pictures and gives me updates, absolutely love her. I always love getting my daughters art projects, which they do alot of, painting, practicing letters, pictures exploring with art and colors. Kids Corner is one of the best play-based preschool in the area. Both of my kids love to go here. The teachers are very patient and nice. My little one was labeled "difficult" in his other (Montessori) school but ever since he's here, his behavior changed and he loves to go to school. I attribute that to the teacher's attitude towards kids and the fun activities they bring in. It's not a rigid place and there are activites like firefighter visits, petting zoo, jumpy house. The lady who makes and bakes snacks here is amazing. We can tell that she puts love in what she does and some snacks are almost full meals here. Mini burritos, apple taquitos, pancakes! My kids have been in other schools all over the Bay because of moves and work arrangements and I can say that here you get a really nice environment without the inflated prices of Berkeley or Marin. Also, the hours and holiday schedule is unmatched, the evening pickup is at 6:30 and there is no spring or summer break. This is super for parents with 2 demanding careers. My child attended kids corner for longer than I would have liked because the hours worked and I was sold on the facade. Once I realized that this "learning center" was more like a over priced daycare center I was full of regret. Once the school was sold things spiraled out of control . The teachers do all of the art work and the atmosphere provides little to no room for your child imagination to expand beyond what's in front of them. I called one day to follow up with Teacher Mariessa concerning an issue that she was assisting with unfortunately Lisa answered and was extremely rude. She spoke to me like she was paying my child's tuition. Lisa is very rude and vindictive. I'm really not surprised at the negative reviews. I could share so much that I've observed but my goal is not to tarnish the schools reputation they will do that on there own. My goal is to alert parents. In this environment your child will not thrive the teachers that were epic are no longer there because there awesomeness was far to much for other teachers. If you want your child grow avoid this place. There is a drought of educational experience. This is a daycare not a learning center. Just because you add learning center does not mean that the levels of academics has increased. A lot needs to change at this place. It will probably close soon. Or get sold. read more

I had my child attending Kids Corner for about a year and removed my child from this day care because its become very unprofessional. My child was in the 4's Class and numerous times I have picked up my child and the teachers talking to each other and not paying attention to the kids. The teachers seem to constantly be in a bad mood and seem like they are not happy with the work environment. They seem to be more involved in what happens in their personal lives then the kids. My child told me that she was pushed and went to tell the teachers and they were to busy in conversation and didn't pay attention to my child! Was a great place but not so much anymore!
