This is one place where when you check in and Yelp says, "keep it up to become a regular" you say, "no, thank you!". I'd rather not ever have to come here, but when the need arises we I'm so glad this exists. Our baby guy had a bad cough and we were going to tough it out until our pedi's office opened Monday but after a rough Saturday afternoon we decided not to chance it.
I called the OKC office first and Matthew answered all of my questions. I asked him if it was packed and he told me it was, but quickly looked up the Edmond office to see there was no waiting there. He also told me to print the paperwork online to save time. He was incredibly helpful and didn't make me feel like a crazy first time mom.
We drove to the Edmond location and ended up waiting about 5 min to go back. The front desk employee appreciated that we brought the completed paperwork and was quick and nice. Heads up: they swipe your credit card right off the bat for any charges, much like a hotel. An RN took us back & did his vitals. She was efficient too, but made several comments about how fussy he was... He's sick and doesn't understand, I'd be fussy too! The vitals & exam rooms are small and a little awkward if both parents are there but you're there for such a short time it isn't a big deal.
We waited another 8 min or so for the doctor and she was with us for 10 minutes. She was kind, thorough and answered all of our questions. It turns out it is just viral so we didn't need treatment, and she empathized with us being first time parents with the first illness. Start to finish was maybe 40 minutes... Not too shabby!
Overall, I was very impressed, both with the model & the clinic itself. It is great to know that when life happens outside of normal business hours, your kiddo can quickly get the medical treatment they need. read more
