He is extremely gifted with his hand skill and knowledge. He works with Patty, and they run like a finely tuned engine. I would not go to anyone but Dr. Funk. My issue is with the front desk, specifically Maria, whose actions nearly cost me thousands of dollars. After my Invisalign scan, Maria told me the treatment would be $6,500 and insisted she had called my insurance. She said adults weren't covered and I'd have to pay the full amount out of pocket. She pushed CareCredit hard and told me I needed to put $3,500 on it to get 24‑month financing. I trusted her and did it. Days later, my gut told me to check my insurance myself and I discovered I do have $2,000 of adult orthodontic coverage. When I confronted her, she continued to insist she had called..... but she did NOT. I patched her into a call with my insurance company, and the agent confirmed everything I had already told her. She asked the same questions over and over, almost like she didn't want to accept the truth. When I asked for my refund so I could use my FSA card and pay the deposit of 2000 with that instead, she told me the doctor would cancel my Invisalign case, and I'd have to find another orthodontist. She also claimed my trays were already made within a few days (not possible) and gave multiple contradictory explanations about the orthodontist's schedule. She told me Dr Feldman goes to RVC once a month, which is another lie, hes there every 2 weeks. It became clear she preferred I pay out of pocket rather than use my insurance. The dishonesty, pressure, and misinformation were unacceptable and completely out of line with the quality of the clinical team. The doctors here are excellent, but the front desk experience with Maria, the billing person, was terrible and deceitful. Management needs to address this immediately.

This current office, as was the last one, is always immaculate. It feels good to walk into a clean and tidy business. With the pandemic looming, he has taken even more stringent measures. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer and more protective gear is the rule of thumb here. He and his staff have always been professional and treat my family and I with respect. He has always explained each procedure he needed to perform. I can be a handful with my hundreds of questions and each time, Dr. Heller has answered all my concerns. I trust Dr. Heller with all my dental needs. From check ups to cleaning and even teeth whitening, he will continue to be my dentist of choice.

Untrustworthy and deceitful. Those are two words that describe Grosser…read more Going to Grosser is one of the worst possible decisions you can make if you care about your teeth. My records were sold to Grosser when my previous dentist retired. I should never have come to him. I had a cracked wisdom tooth and went to Grosser. He told me that the tooth was fine, even though I could clearly see the crack in the mirror. I ended up going to another dentist after a piece broke off, who then directed me to have an oral surgeon extract it. Grosser also performed a root canal and crown on me. The process of getting the crown was drawn out to nearly 3 months. When I was feeling pain on that side of my mouth the weeks after, I went to a different dentist to have it evaluated and see if a filling near the crown was loose, as that is what Grosser had told me, and inquire if that was the true source of the pain I was feeling. The dentist examined me and told me that there was no loose filling, and showed me an x-ray of the crown, showing that the remaining tooth had been fractured and crown post dislodged, all in the course of a month after receiving it. Now I am in the process of getting a dental implant due to his botched work, but at least I know to never visit Grosser again and let a different dentist handle it. Fillings from Grosser were difficult to floss. Even the best floss would be torn apart trying to pop it out of the space around the source of the filling. This same situation not just to me, but other family members. Different dentists that we have visited after have all been surprised by things such as 1) oversized fillings at risk of breaking, and 2) his over-enthusiasm for crowns and shaving off way too much tooth. Grosser is clearly not implementing the best practices under best practices. When a family member asked him about the difficult flossing, Grosser straight up lied and said there was no issue, even though he himself could not even get the floss out of the gap. I'm sad that I have Grosser so many chances. I should have just trusted my gut and went elsewhere after the misjudged broken wisdom tooth (the crown was unfortunately done beforehand). After my misadventures here, it is clear that he does not put his patient's best interests first, and his shoddy practices cause more problems than they solve. There are much better dentists on Long Island and in the RVC area that you can go to who actually care about their patients and have up-to-date equipment and techniques. Grosser honestly deserves to lose his license to operate. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere before you get hurt.

I'm terrified of dentist, but she made me feel comfortable and was very gentle every step of the way. She made sure I was ok at all times. Her assistant was also very nice and helpful. When my mother went in to address the issue, instead of apologizing or taking responsibility, the staff were rude and dismissive. Even though they are the ones who messed up, they told us my sister would still have to pay for a retainer at the end of her treatment. This is completely unfair and unprofessional. Not only did they fail to deliver the results promised, but they also treated us poorly when we tried to get it resolved. My sister's teeth are now worse than when she started, and this office refuses to take accountability.
