I've worked in childcare before and finding a childcare facility for my son was a tough decision…read more Our first choice facility was full (infant rooms have long wait lists!) and we had a rough experience with another drop-in facility-- so I was anxious to try a new place but I'm so glad we lucked into a part-time opening at NWCC when my son was 6 months old. (He's now nearing a year old and is at NWCC full time). The staff at NWCC keep us updated and care about our son. They've been great at listening and communicating with us and I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a childcare facility. NWCC uses the Tadpoles app to record daily activities-- we receive daily email updates and have downloaded the connected app. The staff records daily activities (foods/liquids, diapers, naps, extra notes) and send photos via Tadpoles. I'll often get a photo of my happy son playing in the middle of the day-- an awesome surprise when I'm sitting at my desk and wondering how he's doing!

Warning... This (…read moreclub) is the worst place to send your kids. My little boy got a head injury and big lacerations with 12 sutures in his scalp . Please be careful to send your lovely one to this miserable place with a lot of careless employees. If I can give minus stars I will do that without any hesitation.

My son went to the kiwi clubhouse in Gahanna the teachers LOVED my son anytime my son came in they were all so friendly at THAT location When i came in yesterday to pick up my son the director was so friendly to all white parents keeping conversations with them. But when i walked in it was very short. Explained to the white parents what they did in class and just brought my son out and said bye. Then i proceed to bring my son in this morning and instantly walked in and told me a problem they had with my son the day before. Why not mention that last night at pick up? Told me my son put kids in a head lock etc. wether that were true or not the way they were with my son was as if they were disgusted with him. Mind you he's 2. He's learning. While the behavior is terrible and he's never done it at home or have never heard that from the previous kiwi club house the way they approached it and how they had been with me and my son since i dropped him off the first day. Was terrible so i removed us completely Whites only daycare. Sharing this on all my Instagram play forms as well. I'm completely disgusted.

Their curriculum is solid and educational with a strong emphasis on social emotional development. Their meals are all provided and are healthy fresh and mostly organic. Our oldest is in the before and after school program (as well as the school-age summer program) and our two younger children are in the pre-school range. All three kids love going each day. In fact, during the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been SO sad that they haven't been able to see their friends and teachers. Not only do the kids have fun and love to go, but the curriculum at Teaching Tree is also top-notch. As an educator myself, it is easy to tell when childcare centers "fake" the curriculum to make it easy on themselves and their teachers. This isn't the case at Teaching Tree! I recommend the Teaching Tree without reservations to any and all in the Dublin/Powell/Delaware area. In fact, they may be worth a further drive than that! We are all looking forward to when the virus is more under control and the kids can get back to the Teaching Tree!

The school is small, with three preschool/kindergarten rooms and a toddler room. The wonderful staff is led by the Director, Ms. Sadhana Arun, who is a smart, loving woman who really understands and implements the Montessori philosophy beautifully. My first clue that this was a supportive and welcoming place was watching all the children race up and hug Ms. Sadhana as each one left for home in the afternoon. The teachers know all the children's names and because all the rooms are mixed age, there is an amazing sense of community among all the children who attend, that I haven't seen at any other pre-school/daycare. Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. We highly recommend that you contact Hilliard Montessori to set up a visit if you are looking for daycare or a preschool experience for a child between 18 months and 6 years. Yes, they offer kindergarten too!

Montessori education is a time-tested, respected and effective education methodology that was founded by Dr. Maria Montessori, the first woman in Italy to become a physician. The hallmark of the Montessori program is the prepared classroom environment. Each classroom is equipped with hands-on materials for children to independently learn at their own pace. Children learn to solve problems, see natural connections in knowledge and learn skills related to practical living to expand their imaginative thinking. Maria Montessori believed that this type of classroom fostered independence and a love of learning for young children.
