The staff have always been very receptive to any concerns or ideas and how to implement them into his day. They will talk to me about any successes, or even road blocks he encountered throughout a day and describe how he succeeded in working through it, or how they worked with him to work around issues. Even just coming in to pick him up and them telling me how something he did made them laugh is really fun, and I get the sense that they care about each kid in this way and how they grow. When you come and pick you're child up at the end of the day, and they are bummed that they are getting picked up, I take that as a sign they were having fun and enjoying the environment. And I feel like the teachers do a great job and keeping the room fun, while still challenging and teaching them tools that they will need further down (in school or otherwise).

Kiddie Academy completely changed my mind about daycare. The staff is wonderful! Dave and Bronwyn are the best, and we also adore Ms. Bryn. It is a non-fussy place full of smiles and fun. They don't try to be pretentious and feed your kids onions and brussel sprouts like some of the other daycares, just good honest kid approved food that is still healthy. They also have great hours of operation. The place is always extremely clean! Cannot say enough good things!

(He's now nearing a year old and is at NWCC full time). The staff at NWCC keep us updated and care about our son. They've been great at listening and communicating with us and I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a childcare facility. NWCC uses the Tadpoles app to record daily activities-- we receive daily email updates and have downloaded the connected app. The staff records daily activities (foods/liquids, diapers, naps, extra notes) and send photos via Tadpoles. I'll often get a photo of my happy son playing in the middle of the day-- an awesome surprise when I'm sitting at my desk and wondering how he's doing!

But when i walked in it was very short. Explained to the white parents what they did in class and just brought my son out and said bye. Then i proceed to bring my son in this morning and instantly walked in and told me a problem they had with my son the day before. Why not mention that last night at pick up? Told me my son put kids in a head lock etc. wether that were true or not the way they were with my son was as if they were disgusted with him. Mind you he's 2. He's learning. We feel such great comfort in knowing that our daughter will be treated like one of their own and will be safe at all times. We transferred from another daycare due to not feeling this same sense of comfort there. We have also seen such tremendous growth in all areas of development and I really think this is a testament to the Montessori style of learning and the school overall. The class ratios are also small, meaning more attention and personalization for each student. As a self proclaimed helicopter parent, I was surprised at how much ease I felt with her starting a new school. I also feel heard every time I bring something up to a teacher or Sadhana that we have been trying at home or with occupational therapy. There is nothing like it in the area, in my opinion- Sadhana and the teachers create opportunities to build community with other parents and not only a casual wave in a hall. If you'd like to chat with me directly about our experience, I have given authorization for Sadhana to share my contact information and would be happy to answer questions you may have about our personal experience.

The school is small, with three preschool/kindergarten rooms and a toddler room. The wonderful staff is led by the Director, Ms. Sadhana Arun, who is a smart, loving woman who really understands and implements the Montessori philosophy beautifully. My first clue that this was a supportive and welcoming place was watching all the children race up and hug Ms. Sadhana as each one left for home in the afternoon. The teachers know all the children's names and because all the rooms are mixed age, there is an amazing sense of community among all the children who attend, that I haven't seen at any other pre-school/daycare. Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. We highly recommend that you contact Hilliard Montessori to set up a visit if you are looking for daycare or a preschool experience for a child between 18 months and 6 years. Yes, they offer kindergarten too!
