I have 2 older children to compare their experiences with and let's just say that my 3rd is the luckiest of them all. Here is why I love it: 1. It is not a day care. I'm sorry day cares but you are different to no fault of yours. It's just a different environment and that shows. The kids act like they are going to "school". All arriving and departing at the same time. That for some reason creates an excitement. 2. It's old fasioned. I can't explain it but it's a good thing! 3. My child is learning so much! There is time for play as well but I'm amazed at how much he has learned in such a short time. I think it is the routine of it all. 4. My child is begging to go. I mean jumping up and down excited to go to school. This makes me want to jump up and down as well because I know that this is where the passion to learn starts!

My nephew begin preschool at Ringwood School this past 2015-16 school year. My family and I were…read morevery excited for him to start school so he could make gains in the academic milestones he's behind in and increase his opportunities to socialize! I brought him to school early on in the year (he had attended a few days to that point). A non-school related familial issue occurred unexpectedly that day (mid-commute, actually..). When I arrived, Principal Elbert immediately brought me into his office, where we discussed the situation and concerns related to my nephew. He was AMAZING - very kind and sympathetic, and assured me what role he and his staff would play in regards to my nephew's well-being. My brother (nephew's father) has had extensive contact with Principal Elbert - both before the day I sat down with him and regularly by phone throughout this school year. I know I speak for my entire family when I say the communication is appreciated more than we can articulate. I'm so relieved to know that my nephew is in compassionate and capable hands, and that Principal Elbert and the staff are keeping an eye on him and his best interests.

This Principal, Mrs. Robinson, is a very nice lady and will take ANY questions you may have about ANYTHING!!! Assistant Principal, Mr Hibler, is just O.K. He yells at children, which is why I gave the school three stars. I would say the classrooms are decent size, but could be bigger, especially when you have a bigger class. I'm not sure the yelling at children helps stop the child from doing bad things, but it may seem rude to parents, and may scare the children. I love the teachers my children have had.
