My baby started at 4 months old in the infant classroom and as a first time mother I was so nervous about leaving my baby at daycare. But the teachers were so loving and took such great care of him. Now when I leave him at daycare, he's so happy with the teachers, he doesn't even notice when I leave sometimes. I love the daily reports and photos. He's moving up to the toddler classroom and the staff have been very good with letting us know about transitions. There's plenty of parking at the front, live camera feed so I don't miss him during work hours, very responsive to emails, and if there's any issue they call me straight away. Our family was with Kiddie Academy Bothell for years, and our daughter truly grew up there as part of the community. Unfortunately, over the past few months, we experienced several concerning issues that caused her distress and ultimately led us to make the very difficult decision to move her to a new school. We noticed a decline in care and communication beginning earlier this year around summertime. One of our daughter's teachers made comments such as "She doesn't like me," which felt inappropriate and insensitive given her age and emotional development. On multiple occasions, we witnessed emotional responses dismissed instead of acknowledged by teachers, for example, telling children not to cry or using a toy remote to "change" their mood instead of helping them process their feelings. There were also moments of unnecessarily harsh discipline. During one pickup, my daughter ran happily toward me and was immediately scolded by a teacher in front of the class. The tone felt punitive and unkind for a 3-year-old. We also had ongoing hygiene concerns. Our daughter frequently came home uncomfortable from sitting in soiled diapers, and even after being potty trained, she wasn't always properly cleaned. This led to severe irritation and discomfort, something that is avoidable in a childcare setting. When we brought these concerns to staff, the responses were heard, but later on the issues would arise again. We later learned that other families had also withdrawn for similar reasons, citing concerns about the disorganized environment, absence of structure, and insufficiently defined teaching curriculum, all of which created emotional stress and overwhelm for the students. To make matters worse, Kiddie Academy refused to refund our $1,000 deposit for the fall term, even though our daughter began the new school year and met their own enrollment criteria before we made the decision to withdraw her due to these ongoing issues. We've since moved our daughter to Birch Tree, and the difference has been night and day. The staff there are attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring. Questions and concerns are addressed immediately, and their follow-through is clear and consistent. They also provide a developmentally appropriate, well-structured curriculum with systems in place that foster a calm environment and significantly reduce the behavioral challenges many families had previously experienced at Kiddie Academy Bothell. For the first time in a long time our daughter is truly thriving. She is happy, supported, and excited to go to school every day. We're deeply disappointed by how things ended at Kiddie Academy Bothell. What was once a positive experience declined into something that felt indifferent and disorganized, and the lack of care ultimately cost them the trust of our family. read more

Our baby started in the infant room with Miss Mansi. She is a phenomenal teacher and we are so grateful that she was our child's first teacher. The babies all love her and she is super attentive to all of their needs. This is our second child and we found ourselves learning so many things from Miss Mansi. We honestly couldn't imagine a better person to be with our baby while we are at work. We also really appreciate Sarah, the director. She provides transparent communication with families and takes the time to talk with each family. She is very visible within the facility and works incredibly hard to ensure all needs are met. We made several mistakes with our first child, enrolling in other local daycares. Kiddie Academy is by far the best place in the area. We are looking forward to watching our baby continue to thrive and grow with the amazing staff at Kiddie Academy Bothell! read more

My kid has been going to Kiddie Academy in Bothell for over a year now and we are super happy and only have good things to say about most of the staff here. Miss Sarah, the director is super understanding and responsive to feedback from parents which makes you feel heard and also confident that your kid is in the right hands. The teachers here in the Twos classrooms (Miss Amye, Miss Nazreen, Miss Shannon and Miss Ariel) are excellent! They clearly have years of experience in dealing with kids this age and my kid loves her teachers and loves going to daycare. Food and snacks offered here are of high quality and varying options. Kiddie Academy also celebrates a ton of different cultural festivals catering to all kids which is super inclusive and really above and beyond the expectations from a daycare. The camera feature and app updates keep you informed about your kid and give you peace of mind. Teachers also are usually quick and upfront to call and report any incidents that happen to your child. Overall we are very happy with this institution and would highly recommend to other parents! read more

My daughter has been at KA, Bothell for close to 2 years now and her growth and personal development has been very fulfilling to witness. Her earliest months with Ms. Eliza was just the perfect care that she needed. Ms. Eliza was instrumental in regulating my daughters emotional needs and made her physically stronger with the outdoor activities. Her personality blossomed under Ms. Amye's care as she became more confident and articulate with her words and actions. Ms. Amye also embraced the playful nature in kids and my daughter thrived in her classroom. Ms. Shanny was the prefect transition teacher to pre-school as she guided my daughter with structured and a disciplined curriculum. She is having a ton of fun under Miss Nia and cant wait to see what pre-school at Kiddie looks like. Last but not the least is Ms. Sarah , the Director, who takes extra care for every kid and has a special connection with every parent. The Academy also serves freshly cooked food and the staff always greets you pleasantly. read more

The teachers there are wonderful! They are very nice to kids and have great passion to educate kids. They teach students in accordance with their aptitude. My kid has been there for couples of months and we've seen her make great progress. Not only for the academy, but also for the social skill. She has become more lively and talkative, especially after Ms. Vickie arrived. Before, my kid was hesitant to talk to teachers or classmates, even though she's been at another daycare since last September. With Ms. Vickie's help, my kid gained confidence to speak in English. Thanks to Ms. Vickie's encouragement, my kid now speaks confidently in English. I would highly recommend this school. read more

I don't recommend Kiddie Academy Bothell. We toured the Bothell campus online during the pandemic and waited for 1.5 years before enrolling in their toddler program. After two weeks of enrollment, we were so disappointed and decided to withdraw. On day 2, the teacher put the blankets on the kids during the nap time. The blanket covered my child's head completely when he was asleep. The teacher didn't even check them after throwing out the blankets. His head was fully covered for more than 15 minutes before a teacher uncovered him to take a photo. The director insisted on saying that the teacher covered my child's head intentionally due to the bright light. On day 4, the teacher put on him two winter coats (one left at the classroom, one he wore when he went to the school) before they played outside for an hour. Child got sick afterwards. I told them one coat was enough. The next day it was raining and the teacher only put on him a thin raincoat simply because I told them one coat is enough one day earlier. I was wondering why it was hard for them even to understand this tiny requirement. Afterwards, I had to call them and tell them to put on him 1 winter coat + 1 raincoat (not 2 winter coats, not 0 winter coat) during the outside playtime. On day 5, when playing outside he fell on the ground and had bruises on lips and chin. There was no incident report. The teacher didn't mention it at all. On day 6, after going home my child felt uncomfortable with his eyes for several days and got pink eye. For several days, a teacher knelt down and prayed to worship her God in the classroom during nap time while some kids were awake. (I believe it's not a religious school?) We have no problem with any religious beliefs but I would prefer to be told in advance that this would happen in the classroom. During the several days my child was at Kiddie Bothell, I had to spend lots of time watching the video to make sure all things went well. One time I saw a boy (not my child) crying miserably while walking back and forth. The teacher ignored him totally and let others kids play clapping hands game. Another time a little girl (not my child) was pulled to sit beside the garbage bin while having lunch. She sat there for a while and went to eat alone at another table. Our communication with the teacher was not helpful. I told her to give my child a book/toy when he woke up early during the nap time, but the next day he was still sitting on the bed for more than 1 hour, not knowing whether he was permitted to do anything else. They had curriculum but teachers spent limited time organizing activities. Most kids didn't even play with each other. When my child waved at them or tried to interact with them, they just walked away. Then we decided to withdraw and not send him back to Kiddie Bothell anymore. They have good facilities, good food, lots of snacks, long hours, but still didn't meet my standards. I would say tour the school IN PERSON and talk to the teachers before signing the contract, or otherwise you'll probably waste $3,000 like me. read more

I have two kids enrolled at Kiddie Academy of Bothell and they both love their teachers, their classroom, and of course the amazing playgrounds. It is one of those places you know your child is being well cared for and you have the extra security of being able to watch them via webcam. Everyone from owner, teachers, to office staff really cares and you see the quality of their efforts in your children. My husband and I toured many child care locations before coming to Kiddie and Kiddie stood out far above the rest and still do now. I highly recommend this location and am sure if you take the time to tour it, you will agree it was worth your time. read more

My son attended Kiddie Academy from just after he turned 3 until a couple months after 4.5 years old. Having once been a ECE professional and now a teacher, I was very particular about what I wanted for my son's all around social, emotional, and academic experience. Kiddie Academy of Bothell met all of our needs and provided me enormous peace of mind during a lengthy transitional time in my family's life. Though the pricing may not be in everyone's budget, in my case (having an only child) their pricing was competitive in light of the service delivered. It was difficult leaving them, but a relocation further north made the drive to the school irrational after awhile, though I kept up with it for a couple months. Knowing your child the way you do and knowing the kind of learner they are should definitely inform your decision for preschool, pre-K and childcare in general. Kiddie Academy of Bothell is one a number of options, but if it feels right for you, then you will likely find a very positive and supportive experience waiting for you and your child. We feel so fortunate each and every day to have this amazing group of patient, kind, and loving educators helping to raise our baby. Ms. Jolyn is hands down the best educator I've ever had the honor of meeting. Not only do I feel safe leaving my child with her, I know my child feels the same. She has taught my special needs child how to write her name and feel confident navigating the classroom social norms. My daughter is fully prepared for Kindergarten. I wish she could be our daughters teacher forever. Ms. Jolyn looks at the classroom from the child's eyes and takes every opportunity to celebrate every moment. She makes learning fun and exciting. Her energy is contagious and she puts a smile on my face every time I see her. She truly and deeply cares for every family in her classroom. She is an advocate for me and my child. Hopefully, we can stay in touch and keep her as a part of our lives. Ms. Becca is the first face I see at Kiddie Academy each day. She puts a smile on my face and is warm and inviting. She truly takes the time to listen and provides helpful feedback. She's knowledgable, caring and helpful. Ms. Amber does an amazing job juggling all the fun events and making all the employees and families happy. She is excellent at her job and understands what it's like to be a parent. We are madly in love with the teachers and staff at Kiddie Academy. Our son has been attending since he was a tiny 7 week old! They have been the most nurturing, comforting, encouraging people we could ever ask for - for both my son AND for his first-timer parents! We have been especially taken with Miss Amye - she is my son's favorite person in the world and we love her to pieces. The center itself is bright, warm, and welcoming. Kiddie Academy of Bothell has been instrumental in our son's development. The entire staff and management has provided an amazing support structure for our son. The teachers are wonderful, care about their work and go out of their way to help the children succeed. Aleksa, Patty and the rest of the management team are fantastic and run the operational side of the business very effectively. Inevitably, in any business there is turnover and Aleksa always does a great job of hiring new staff members that excel at their jobs. The school itself is clean, enriching and fun. I love their outdoor area because even if it rains there is a covered area for the kids to play. The school does a nice job of balancing traditional academics with learning through play. My one year old daughter enrolls in the Fall. Both her and my two year old son will attend the Academy until they age out and go to Kindergarten.
