Darcy and my mother go to high chair art every Tuesday. I don't know which one of them gets more out of it. Darcy is learning and developing her fine motor and listening skills. My mom is learning about new artists and bonding with her granddaughter. Its great! Every Tuesday night my mom, husband and I have an auction and bid on who gets to keep Darcy's amazing art form that week. Last weekend the studio had a little workshop. My husband and I got to check it out and see what happens when we are at work. It was so wonderful to see Darcy light up when we arrived. And next month they are hosting a silhouette artist. This is a keepsake I always dreamed of having if i ever had a child. What a wonderful jewel in the community. We are so lucky to have this. I highly recommend kidcasso if you have a little one in your life. The arts are so important. How wonderful to have something affordable and accessible in our community!

I bring my 4 year old and 2 year old during school closures to their Art Sense class. It is…read moreperfect, because they both can be there together. They both really enjoy the class and my 4 year old always ask when we can go to the next art class. The class is 45 minutes long, but I would say the first 10-15 minutes is free play where they set up a few art inspired stations for the kids to explore, approximately 20 minutes of more structured art class, then 10 minutes for clean up and story time. The -1 comes from two things... 1 - It can be costly to do drop in classes for both kids. It is $35/kid, though they do give a 20% sibling discount, so it is $63/2 kids, plus the $2 service from the site vs. $100/month/kid which would be equivalent to approximately $25/class. It is a way more affordable to enroll monthly but they do not offer Art Sense classes over the weekend so it is not really supportive of kids that attend school during the week. It would be nice if they had an option to buy X amount of classes upfront at the $25/rate that could be used amongst multiple children. We've tried other art classes in neighboring towns and I would say Kidcasso is probably at the higher price point. 2 - This only happened once but there was one class where the teacher did not show the end product upfront for the kids. I am not sure if this was intentional to allow creative freedom but for one of my kids that appreciates a bit more structure to build confidence, I could tell she was more cautious and waiting to see what other kids were doing or asking me for some guidance. The other times when she knew what the end goal was she was more confident creating her artwork and leverage her creative freedom to still create something that was hers. For my other child, she did not care because she doesn't follow rules/directions anyways. It didn't impact the experience for my children, but it was something that was noticeable for one of my children in how they approached that specific art class.

She was enrolled in a week of theater and multiple weeks of art instruction with a wide array of art classes to choose from. With an artshow each Friday, we enjoyed the opportunity to see the the kids amazing artwork on display. We ended up with multiple frame-worthy pieces, one of which the clerk at the frame shop said she'd never have guessed was created by a 6 year old, it was that good. My daughter had a great time, the staff was fantastic, they offered before and after care which was critical for us working full time and we were incredibly pleased by the overall experience. We re-enrolled for February vacation, are planning for summer camp, and see ourselves as lasting patrons for the years to come.

The studio is really cute and it's small classes of 6. The first class is about two hours and she goes step by step on how to get your clay on your wheel and how to make a bowl. I believe there are different classes to make other objects and for the more advanced. It's definitely harder than I expected but Lauren would help get your piece back to being something after you mess up a time or two. You make four pieces. Second class you have two hours to paint your pieces. And then a couple weeks later you pick up your fired bowls, plates, or whatever came out. Easy to get to, side street parking. We had such a blast and we can't wait to do it again & bring our friends.

This place came up so I sent an inquiry in the summer. The response was so quick and I immediately scored a date and time for my kid's birthday for the fall. Thank you, Eve! They are not in downtown/main strip of Salem but that's perfect because they have own parking lot. Everyone had a blast at the pendant making class. Even the parents asked how I came up with this idea. They listed a few packages online and I settled with fused glass pendant. It lasted for two hours (1.5 hours to go over safety demo and making of the product(s), and remaining for snacks, cake etc. Ben was amazing with the kids! We had ten minutes left and he gave the kids a quick flame torch demo. Although I selected fused glass pendant class, the kids were able to make magnet, keychain, earrings. Thank you for extra options. The school was equipped with first aid kit. One thing I would suggest is to have more than 2 pairs of kids gloves. Or make this as a requirement like the goggles. NSGS accepts all forms of payment - Venmo, cash, credit card or check. Check out their awesome class offerings online or their Facebook page. Highly recommended and I would go back!
