I've been a second hand shopper my entire life. I recently stumbled upon Kid to Kid and I couldn't be happier. Quality second hand boys clothes can be hard to come by but Kid to Kid has an amazing selection of carefully curated pieces at a reasonable price. I am just so very impressed with the quality I can't stress that enough! I walked out today with 4 button down shirts, a sweater and 4 pair of jeans for my sons ages 5 & 6 and again I couldn't be happier. The selection of boys clothes in most second hand shops leave MUCH to be desired. Heads and shoulders above any other shop of its kind in the area. I love consignment / resale and thrifting so this has always been one of my favorites in the area to shop since I've moved here from California. with that said , customer service is not my focus when in these environments. BUT for a store that surrounds children , you would think the employees would be at a minimum -kind and well mannered . The attitudes of these current employees are worse than I have seen at any store . They all looked like they hated their jobs , were standing around checking in new clothes and gossiping under their breathe about other co workers and customers . They were snappy and attitudinal towards me . They took a toy my son was playing with while I shopped and didnt tell me they moved it behind the register. When I asked for it they' said " you can have it once you're ready to pay for it "SO BIZAARE! On top of that , There was no greeting, no thanks for shopping . Just bad moods . Such an awesome place to shop, a lot of the clothing still had tags on them and they offered a large discount on everything. They have a little bit of everything from sizes Preemie to 14! So many nice shoes too! I was able to snatch some Michael Kors boots for my niece! Everything is gently used, unlike other thrift stores where you find stains here and there, loved the vibe and the ladies working there were so helpful and sweet! read more

I think I'm just over kid to kids in general.. this was my first time at this location but I've went to others in the past. The rules are disheartening. It's clean and organized but prices are high btw. I walked in on one side.. didn't know the selling took place on the other side. I stood at the register for a while.. no one was there. Perhaps I missed a sign... regardless the lady comes and just looks at me standing there so I said "hi" she said hi with a "what do you want tone".. so I explained I'd like to drop some things off. She gave me directions tersely. I went to the other side.. ignored the rest of what annoyed me and signed in. It says that all to a member if you want to drop off items. I asked and she said you have to stay in store.. goodbye . Make it easy for people who have kids for crying out loud.. we are selling kid items. NEVER AGAIN. I gave this place three tries, and each time left more aggravated than the last. Even writing this review is making me angry. First off, the parking lot is a nightmare. As far as the physical store goes, there is not enough room to shop while pushing a stroller. They have a small "play area," but on this last trip they chose to display the discontinued playground slide and electric jeep right next to it--and then forbade the children from sitting in or touching either. (And the slide and jeep? Priced at 80% of their retail values.--home and googled it because I was so surprised by the prices--Seriously--I could buy a new one for less with an online coupon.) I am totally baffled as to their buying policy, as well. I have sold on two different occasions, and there seems to be no consistency to what they will take--especially when compared with what they are selling. Example: They refused a new, with tags item because it was "basic or stained" but offered faded items with loose stitching on the rack. Again, it would be cheaper for me to go to Kohl's, Walmart or Target and get brand new clothes than to shop for my kids there. (Another pet peeve--after refusing to buy a large quantity of my newborn items the worker was STUNNED that I didn't want to "let the store donate them" for me. Um, no. Number one, this place feels so shady I fully expected them to resell my "donated " items, and number two, I will take the tax write-off myself, thanks!) Bottom line--cheaper to shop at Walmart or Target for basics, and if used designer is what you want, hit ebay and save even more. read more

This place is no different from your basic consignment shop. You can buy/sell your kids clothes and goods but don't expect a huge return on your items for sale-these people need to make $$ after all. I only hit this store up if I need something that I can't find at Target or Kohls on the fly like a breastfeeding cover or buying up winter jackets for donations. Apparently my brother in law wants to be canonized when he dies and trying to buy out their entire winter coat inventory for Kurdish refugees is on the list. My sister was given a generous budget for donations so I had the joy of picking out thermals, jackets, shoes, toys and accessories for young children living in tents miles and miles away. I envisioned myself being miserable in the cold and with each potential pick, I asked myself "if I were a kid, would I appreciate this?" There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to he prices here. A $20 shearling Gap jacket would go a long way and cost $80 retail whereas a ratty $60 fleece Northface fleece wouldn't block any of the wind so...we had a lot of Gap in the basket by the end of the day. A lot of items I thumbed through were in poor/fair condition and maybe 40% of what I picked up really wasn't worth the price they were asking. The toys and accessories sell for retail and the larger accessories in the back like the strollers and pack n play aren't worth their sticker price. Shop Amazon or sign up for discounts from Kohls and you could probably get a much better price if you're patient and wait for a good deal online. It's good in a pinch and they offer a 10% discount for military so that's definitely a plus. 64/2014 read more

We just visited for the first time last week. We had a great experience! It took longer than I expected for them to process my clothes but they were busy and so I understand. So we shopped and browsed, they are hooked to a separate store so that's cool. They had plenty of staff and I even saw them go out of their way to check in storage for more clothes or shoe of a certain size. They offer a lot of discounts, first time user, military, tax free, etc, Also the book club is pretty nifty, 1 free book up to 1.99 per month. That's cool! There is plenty of room for strollers despite what a PP said! The only problem I saw with the store were the customers! Mom's leaving their stroller in the middle of an isle and wandering off, kids playing all over the floor on the back wall of toys and mom's glaring when you try to squeeze your stroller past so you can actually shop. It's a store, not a playground! You wouldn't do that at Target, don't do it here! The fact they provide a closed in play area is awesome but mom's need to actually use it and I would LOVE to see some customer curtesy rules enacted. Oh, and the bows were super overpriced. They had a great selection of clothes, friendly staff and great discounts, we will definitely be back! read more

Stopped by with my little one today to check out this place. They have a ton of clothing in excellent condition at a great price. I also loved all the hair bows they had available. The only thing I didn't really like was the cost of the children's shoes. Slightly over priced for the condition some of them were in. I wish this store was in a better location. It is so difficult to get in and out of the parking lot as it is and the parking lot is tight as it is. I've found some good deals here in the past, but I hate the check out process. It's almost worth paying extra to go to Target. Why they need my telephone number every time I check out is beyond me. Then they want your e-mail address. I just want to purchase my items and go. That's it. Shouldn't have to give out my personal info just to shop at your store. read more

This place is racist. My son had 4 pairs of shoes in near perfect condition. 3 of the 4 pair were only worn once.Not a scuff, no tears or rips & all name brand.I went to sell the items & didn't receive anything. I wasn't even given an explanation as to why they couldn't be bought. I am African American. Two days later, I asked my Caucasian friend to bring those same items in and miraculously she was able to sell all 4 pair. I've always felt this way but to actually test out my theory and see that I was right is both hurtful and insulting. Okay so this is a tricky review to write. Kid to Kid has super friendly staff but I do not like the fact that they are not consistent with the items they will take in for trade or cash. I love the fact that you can go in and get super cute children and infants outfits on the cheap, children outgrow their clothes so quickly it doesn't seem logical to spend an arm and a leg on their outfits. Another thing I wasn't thrilled about occurred during a recent visit to the store I was looking to buy cute summer outfits for my son which shouldn't have been an issue with it being beginning of June but I was terribly disappointed that the 2T boys section had a total of 10 summer outfits which appeared to be very faded and worn. I don't think this would have irritated me as much if they didn't have the clothing racks overflowing with winter apparel. To top it off when I go up to the front to find out what if any of my sons items they would accept they make me an offer for a top but not the matching hat or bottoms and two winter tops. As I mentioned before I do not understand why they take certain items and why they reject others. It obviously does not have anything to do with the fact that my sons clothing was or wasn't name brand. That very same trip they rejected 3 never worn polo brand shirts. I just left the store that day very confused to say the least. I have a love hate relationship with this store. I love to shop and find great deals, it's hit or miss here, but I have not had much luck with trading or selling items to them. Will I be back.... probably so, but I'd much rather donate my clothes to someone who needs them rather than bring a closet full of clothes in only for them to approve a couple of items. When Kid to Kid first opened at its old location in Evans, over a decade ago, I celebrated. Among the regular staff members were a couple of ladies who were moms themselves, and who seemed genuinely thrilled to be part of a family-friendly project. Prices were great, and it was worth bringing in our outgrown clothes and toys, because we actually made a little towards buying "new" stuff, in the store. In recent years, the store seems to rely mainly (not entirely) upon teens for staffing. Some of these young ladies are polite; others clearly have their minds elsewhere. I've also been genuinely baffled by buy-back experiences. I'll get an offer for my bargain store junk, but I'm told that they won't be able to sell my Lilly Pulitzer and other nice stuff. They also price their used items higher than they should. On one occasion I found an item that had an original sales tag on it, and Kid to Kid's new sales price was higher. This store could be a great resource, and could have a much larger clientele, but it needs to find again its old mojo. read more

Professional staff and very helpful. They have a frequent buyer card which I like. It was a little pricier than I expected however they are a consignment shop so they do have to recoup what they pay out. I was interested in updated cute styles for my 12 month old grandbaby who is growing like crazy! I dont like walmart clothing so I was interested in just a little bit more upscale without being ridiculous. I did see some target name brands and have found that with clearance sales you can actually do better buying their clothes brand new at the store. HOWEVER, for baby gap, etc.... these are good deals!! Toys and Books were clean. They sell things that have been well taken care of. Again, prices on strollers and some larger toys were STILL a bit more than I wanted to pay for a USED item but all in all this is a good store and you will save some $$. They only get 4 because of the location and I believe they could pay out a little less to sellers and make the prices more in tune with what used clothing should be. If you are selling items, keep in mind your items are used whether they came from target or bloomingdales they are used. So dont expect to get paid what you paid for USED clothing. read more

I left today totally disgusted!!!! Kid 2 Kid is a JOKE when it comes to buying items!!!! I took 2 full baskets of name brand clothes and an air hockey table that was used TWICE!! In this basket of clothes was a pair of pants that I purchased for my son and they ended up being too short so I took the tags off and put in basket and they didn't purchase them bc they looked "worn"...mind you my son put them on and took them right back off ....of the baskets they accepted about 6 short sleeve shirts and a Carhart jacket with the air hockey table and their offer was $20...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I know it is consignment but I paid over $100 just for the jacket alone. I took all my stuff and told them I would never sell to them again. I am so thankful my son has outgrown this awful place....mind you while they turned down Polo.. Areopostole...and other name brands I find Walmart brands hanging on their racks...NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more
