Today, on one of the coldest days of the year, my always dependable Tesla's (270,000 miles!) battery ran out of energy a mile from a Kenosha Supercharger, due to my miscalculation. Stuck on the highway, Kico's dispatcher reached out to his broad network of drivers, and had someone at the scene in minutes. Because Kico's is approved by Tesla, its driver Nick -- knowledgeable and friendly! -- quickly opened the correct compartments, got the battery starting to warm, and then flat-bedded my Model S to a nearby Supercharger. Nick waited patiently to make certain my car was efficiently charging, and only left when he was certain all would be well. While heading to dinner in Walker's Point, I ran into a pothole bigger than the Bingham Canyon Mine on S. Pierce Street and I was stranded, as my wife walked to the restaurant to meet our friends. Geico Insurance contacted Kico's who called, emailed and texted, letting me know they were on their way, providing security in an insecure predicament. The Kicos employee who showed up, Steffon, was empathetic and intelligent, explaining what I needed to do to get my car on the road. The entire ordeal became a small bump in the road rather than a massive sink hole because of Kico's. Kico's and Steffon were like a team of rescue Saint Bernards in the midst of an avalanche. I was quoted 85 minutes for a wait time, and the tow truck came at exactly that. He was very quick to get my car rigged up, was mindful while handling my vehicle, was friendly, and patient while I worked out some insurance issues. There seemed to be some miscommunication between the insurance company and tow company about how much it was going to cost which added to the stress a bit, but I'm not sure that was their fault. Apparently the use of a dolly was not covered by my insurance but the tow was? I advise inquiring about this ahead of time. In any regard, I would trust them with my vehicle again and appreciated their customer service. read more

While on vacation BOTH of my cars parked which I left behind in my garage became inoperable despite recent servicing work on them. Nick B., the driver technician, was promptly dispatched and arrived sooner than estimated on Sunday afternoon. Both vehicles were Lexis models and Nick was especially careful to assure that neither were not scratched or damaged in any way. KICO made two trips to my home to assure that each car was handled separately rather than loading one and towing the other, which has front wheel drive, behind the platform truck. Nick allowed me to ride with him so that I could see exactly where and how the cars were delivered and was helpful in locating the keys' drop-off box where I filled out the key deposit envelopes. I found Nick B. to be a very patient, considerate and experienced towing driver. Our driver Ray was on time . Then he got the towing devIce under my car with quickness and accuracy and with no scratches to my bumper even though the strut was broken on my car . When we got to our destination Robertos's Muffler and Brakes, Ray even backed my car into a spot in back of the shop as it wasn't getting worked on till Monday . Then as if he wasn't the best already , after he lowered the car he used a separate jack to jack up the car so the bumper wouldn't get scratched . I guarantee other companies wouldn't care . This tow company was sent to me by my insurance company on 1/22/19. The technician used a tool on my brand new vehicle and gouged the wood grain significantly by my shifter. I contacted Kico's and was told they would text me the email to send over pictures and was never contacted again. I found their email address on my own and emailed them explaining the incident and was once again never contacted. I would definitely not recommend this towing company, their technician cost me $583 in damages and the owner showed not one bit of concern. read more

The driver, sorry I didn't catch his name, was so friendly, professional and made a very difficult situation barrable. I give this driver 5+ stars, he was great and awesome at his job. My niece had a flat tire and needed a tow on 5/15/18. She was told the tow truck would arrive at 3:30pm. The tow truck was on time ( a few minutes early :-) The driver, named Leonard was one of the nicest drivers I have ever met. He introduced himself and asked me about my niece car. He asked my permission before he attempted to do anything. Once my niece arrived he loaded her car on the flatbed. My niece and I drove my car and met Leonard at the garage. Leonard arrived and unloaded her car and spoke to my niece and the owner. I give Leonard an A+ for his people skills.
