Just got back yesterday from staying at the casino: 1). They promise a free breakfast on Google-lie#1 2). as they have begun giving cars away every other mo or so-they have dialed back their slot payouts to less than 30% (Vegas is 92-98%). Guess they thought it was a fair tradeoff..smh 3). Even when you hit 3 drums (Dancing Drums) or 6 hats (Huff N Puff)-payouts were all less than $ 20.00..worse than horrible. Just went late March 2026. This place used to be fun to go to and the slot machines used to payout well. Not anymore. The place was awful. Anybody you did happen to see win anything (rarely), was a small payout. I don't know what happened, but they definitely have changed. I don't plan on coming back anytime soon at all. I have been to almost all of the casinos in the U.S. along with several in Europe and Asia. This by far is the worst that I have ever been to. People are just pouring in money and you never hear any bells. I have never seen a hand pay. The rooms are dingy and the employees are not very welcoming. Free play is almost non-existent. Don't waste your time with this horrible casino. I had issue with a room so I asked for a supervisor. The man shows up and says he only handles the casino not the hotel. Zachary from the restaurant wouldn't honor a coupon and made my aunt stand in line twice and then said we were 5 minutes late to redeem a 50/50 coupon. The register doesn't allow it to work after 11 pm. (She literally printed it at 10:30). I asked if that was the reason we had to stand in line twice to allow it to expire. He said no, he wasn't aware of the time. The food was heavily salted. Red tacos and menudo were salty and the chicken fajitas were chokingly dry. Bingo staff is lovely and the restaurant staff before 10pm restaurant staff is smiley and lovely. Zachary and chef were awful after 10. Also, the promotions say a percentage off a "meal" and they wouldn't honor that, they'd only honor a percentage off a food item not a meal. I'm pretty sure if I had went to the burger spot the burger fries and sundae would've been the full percentage off but at this restaurant, with these employees, they were being petty. I don't understand why people in the service industry don't want to service their customers, it doesn't bring anyone joy to be this petty to people. read more

Me and my parents who are disabled regularly go to the casino and contribute a good amount of $$$. On our last visit, my dad had a pocket knife and was let through security. After playing for 4hrs, a security guard singled him out while he was playing . He told him he had to take it back to the car. He is DISABLED. He would have gladly left the knife at security, but they didn't tell him anything at the entrance. Due to his disability, he can get overwhelmed and confused easily. read more

I went to the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino with some co-workers after work. They all had been there before and really enjoyed it. I got the casino reward card and promptly started using it so I could get the $20 comp that is given to new members. Tip remember you can only redeem it on the day that you open the reward account. Another tip is that coffee and soft drinks are free at the self serve stations. They don't have any signs so I thought I was doing something unethical and security would bounce me for taking the drinks. It was a Good casino with friendly staff. Well... I will start with I am from San Antonio, Texas. And I will saying THIS IS NOT WORTH THE DRIVE!!! I would've rather flown to Vegas for the amount I spent on gas and time I spent in the car and had more fun in the airport playing slots than coming here. There are no tables, they only have slots, and they do not pay out much. Every machine I saw showed one payout of under $100. They charge for all drinks regardless if you were playing or not. The servers are not what you expect for a cocktail server at casino, think bass player in a mariachi band. Their attitude was horrible as well. All drink prices varied depending on who you asked. If you enjoy playing video poker, Kickapoo Lucky Eagle is NOT for you. The only reasons I patronize this casino is because my partner enjoys gambling at Kickapoo, the short drive from San Antonio and just recently was able to play bingo, which was very nice. Kickapoo does offer a large array of slot machines, new and old. So many, that is some areas it feels a bit cramped. They must be doing something right because during our visits it gets pretty busy. I personally, enjoy playing video poker. They used to have a set of 6 or 8 machines that were great. For some reason, they removed them. The only video poker machines now are the old semi-working machines in the central bar area and some sorry attempt of some 8 to 10 newer machines located just outside the central bar area. Unfortunately, the newer machines only have ONE poker game variation to play. I personally, would rather drive 6 hours to Louisiana to play video poker than play at Kickapoo. In addition, the odds on the old and new video poker machines are kinda low and not worth playing. Maybe that is why they are always empty. Although Kickapoo offers free soft drinks, coffee and water, they do not offer free alcoholic drinks. They should give one a free beer or drink after one gambles a certain amount. As for food options, just ok. They used to serve the BEST tasting burgers at a sports bar, which they closed and replaced by a Freddy's, they're ok. The burgers and food are a little better at the iHop also located in the casino. They do have a fancy restaurant, but it never seems to be open. If you don't mind NO free alcoholic drinks, just ok food options, no decent working video poker machines, Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino is for you. Sadly, not for me. read more

Casino was okay. A little disappointed that I had to pay for drinks while playing and I believe it was $5.50 per beer. Im used to drinking for free while playing. The food options aren't good. I ordered a $30 steak one night and they couldn't even cook it. Not to mention was seated at a table and no one even came up and greeted us for 30 minutes. If I wasn't hungry and more options to choose from in eagle pass I would've left. We never even had an assigned server, after two steak mess ups and everyone being served before us after they sat down after, all the manager could keep saying was sorry. There is also plenty of places to get your grub on you just have to choose what you feel like eating. At the moment they are doing some major renovations in the restaurant area to bring you a pretty good variety. Now as far as on the adult drinks well it's not like other gambling establishments, you have to pay for your drinks even if you are playing the machines. There is the hotel bar which offers the best deals in this place. This review is for the RV park associated with the casino. For on 40 bucks a night it's pretty convenient. We stayed for two nights, the spots were clean and all hookups worked great. This is a decent casino. There's not much in the way of table games. There are no black jack tables or craps. I did hear them call out for poker. You need to keep an eye on what you play as some of these games start at 88 cents per line. There are lots of machines to play. The rooms here are outrageously priced. Starting at $399 per night on certain days is pretty outrageous. Standard nights are $279 during the week, which again is pretty high. You can plan ahead and pick a place to stay outside the casino as well. Bathrooms could use some cleaning. Just a word to those who may win here, take the full amount, and do your own taxes as the casino takes a percentage of that, too. The restaurant in the Casino "Azull" is very pricey but the food is outstanding! As well as the service. We had the ribs on a bed of mashed potatoes with carrots edges . The meat fell off the bone. Incredible plate. Very fancy with piano player and well dressed staff with the bells and whistles. You might want to dress for the occasion although it's not required. It's not a bad place to visit. We did have fun but not being able to stay there because of the overpriced rooms, and no table games with high food prices did affect the star rating. We had a great time at Kickapoo! Moving here from Vegas, it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to casinos. The casino is bigger than I thought it would be. If table games are your thing you'll be disappointed though as there aren't any. They do have a poker room and it looks like fun. Slots? There's every type of slot machine you can imagine. My fiancée won $256 on the Rumble Rumble one. Kickapoo has a decent selection for food and drinks at reasonable prices. The steakhouse there has a $9.99 prime rib dinner on Sunday's if you have a players card (it's free and easy to sign up). It's a great value considering you get a three course meal, a soft drink, and dessert for $10. They have happy hour from 3 to 8pm at the Que Pasa Lounge. Happy hour was just for beer but the regular drink prices were very reasonable. My fiancée and I had 2 White Russians for $12 and they were big. Drove 4 1/2 hours only to arrive at their hotel and be told they had no hot water. We had already paid and we weren't about to cancel (which I suspect it's what the hotel is banking on). Gambling is fun, place is quiet and comfortable, but to be honest, myself and a buddy both from different states decided to eat at the buffet from previous visits, our main goal was the ice cream, after paying and eating the so called "authentic Mexican food" that would rival low budget taco stands, we were informed that the ice cream machine was broken, no concern to attempt to fix it really left me heartbroken and feeling dejected, maybe I'll be back, maybe I won't, but you can bet your ass I'll call first. It's a very uneventful drive from San Antonio. The last 45 minutes into the area feels like you're a movie character who is about to be abducted from the lonely highway, never to be seen again. The same can be said for your money once there. It's interesting that some of the machines they have in comparison to other casinos possess the same bet min/max yet the payouts are vastly smaller. Clearly they cannot control what I decide to spend but it would be nice if my efforts weren't entirely fruitless. Based on previous reviews, I expected it to be smoking but the entire casino is smoke-free. Which. Spared my lungs as I needed them for screaming at the machines later (I kid). Service was very attentive everywhere. The staff is so incredibly nice. The draft beers taste like something scooped out of a well vat and the liquor was quite watered down. Stick to bottled beer. Best bang for your buck. Once I went that route, I was too ham sauced to drive home and had to end up booking a room. Bit expensive but I suppose they can be based on their location. Room was nice and comfortable! All in all, will never be back but if you're looking for a day trip, pace yourself in every capacity and it could be an enjoyable time.
