Disturbing content!
Did online order, and while waiting 15min in restaurant for them to finish making it, watched wait and line sushi staff.
Having been a co-owner in the quick food industry for over 10yrs, I am tolerant of many things, but this took the cake!
I observed a male server, while busing, picked up some soy bottles to be refilled, and while doing so, licked his fingers of the excess soy that dripped on them while filling the 2 table sized bottles from the master 2L sized bottle.
Only then to promptly pick up an order and run food to a waiting table.
Shocked at what I just saw, it got worse. He then tended to cash, rubbing his nose, then running his fingers thru his hair multiple times.
Only to then to hastily spray clean a couple menus next to more waiting food, to which was well in the vicinity of the table cleaner solution's mist plume
- but then what I saw truly blew me away...
...after having not washed his hands in the past 7 minutes, while filling 2 more soy bottles, he then licked the dripping soy extra from the master refilling bottle !!!
I lost my shit at that point. Looking around to see if anyone else just witness what I just did!
Thankfully, moments later, the line chefs finished making and packing my order, and handed it to me unscathed from this guy antics.
I then asked a hostess if I could speak to the manager or owner.
The owner presented himself, I quickly recanted my viewings then promptly left.
Don't know if anything was actioned, but I can say that I won't be going back to this location anytime soon.
Hopefully this review will make others think twice before going here too.
I will continue to drive the extra distance and support the Kibo - Old Banff Coach Road location as I haven't had a bad experience there, but steering clear of this 37st location even tho it is literally in my backyard. read more
