They definitely do not mild down the spices--unless maybe they knew we could handle it ahah. Most Thai places level of spice tend to appeal to more..sensitive palettes if you catch my drift. This restaurant did not hold back with their spice, which I didn't mind. The flavor of the food was well balanced. I ordered the tom yum soup with chicken to start off, great tangy, sweet-ish and spicy flavor. Chicken was a little dry but I don't really mind it. I also ordered their lemongrass seasoned beef with rice which came with an over easy egg. Flavor was savory, well seasoned, spicy--balanced out well with the runny egg and rice. My table also ordered fried rice and a curry dish--everything was delicious and memorable. We may have over ordered because we had to do takeaway for the rest. The portion was pretty fair. The next day when I ate my leftovers of the lemongrass beef with the rice--it still was so tasty. 10/10 recommend this place! The waiter said the purpose of the containers is to mimic "Asian street food," but the only thing it mimics is the giant pile of trash 100 meters from the restaurant. Yeah, it's ironic that Neo chooses to use takeaway containers because Galway's monthly trash pile rots on a dock not far from the restaurant. A note to the managers: there exist reusable ceramic "Asian takeaway" containers that could give you a similar culinary authenticity. Doing this would not only add to the customer's experience, but also presumably cut down expenses long-term. Consider alternatives, because, upon visiting your restaurant, your future customers might also do so.
