He provides high-quality care to the community including to those who have Medicaid and some of the reviewers might not have an understanding of how difficult it is to find a top-notch doctor that accepts Medicaid and is available to see you the same week. His office is run incredibly efficiently. He has an incredible sense of humor that will put anyone (including me) even with the most severe anxiety at ease. It is without a doubt, that no matter the weather, or the day of the week (including Saturdays), Dr. Kushner gives 100% to his patients. Which, is what makes his time so invaluable and his practice super busy. You might have to wait (but never longer than 20 mins and even that is very rare) or you might not like that the door is locked but to be in the care of a doctor who is highly experienced, caring, and willing to see you in the same week is unheard of, so anyone leaving a negative review over stuff like locked doors should reassess their priorities. The receptionist unlocks the door once the bell is rung anyway. Stuff like that is a very small price to pay in exchange for getting in to see him sometimes the very next day. I started seeing Dr. Kushner when I had Medicaid and trusted in his care so much that I stayed with him for many years after switching to a private employer based insurance. He has performed several procedures for me over the years. Now I hope that with his help, which I am choosing to trust in first, my husband and I will be able to conceive. There is no other doctor I can say the same for.

And to no surprise, I still don't have them. Terrible. I've been a patient of Dr. Kushner until I moved out of town 2 years ago. I have been calling and emailing for my lab results for the past few months and no one has been helping me retrieve them. The only explanation I've received is that they changed their EMR and they can't locate my records. The receptionist told me that they don't know when they would be able to send me my records. It's not like I was a patient of the office 5 or 10 years ago. It was just 2 years ago! If the staff can't get ahold of recent patient records, how is this office providing appropriate the bes care? So frustrating!

My overall rating is dragged down by the billing department- it's been an ongoing painful process with them that we are still dealing with. As others described- I have filled out endless forms since 2023 to destroy specimen no longer needed. A year after the forms were signed, I was told there was a clinical error but my initial dates would be honored. Then the bills came. Impossible to get someone on the phone, when I finally did I was first told don't worry, it's a new billing system acting up, ignore the bills. Then the bills came again and I thought we were finally done after yet another round with the billing dept, but now a collection agency is in the mix. It's been impossible to get an accurate breakdown of what we are even being billed for and at this point I just want to pay and move on. So, beware I suppose if you choose RMA, be very clear and capture all communication so you have it if needed.

Zero stars. Stay away. This review is mostly specific to the billing and admin practices of RMA -…read morethey are atrocious, the worst of any business I've ever encountered. Trying to find the correct person to help with an issue or anyone at all to answer the phone in billing is near impossible. They sent a bill of mine to CBC to collect. I was never sent this bill. Nothing in the mail. No email. No phone call. Nothing before they sent it to collections. My account "financial educator" couldn't even tell me what the bill was for. I've been asking for a full statement of my account for weeks and even that is too difficult for them to manage. Trying to get information on the charge requires endless follow up on my part and it is still unresolved more than 2 months later. And this is just the latest of several issues I've had with their billing department. Since 2022, I've been asked to fill out multiple forms, consents and sign up for 5 or 6 different portals as they've changed ownership, yet still they send mail to the wrong address or text me bills instead of emailing them despite multiple requests not to text. This does not instill trust or confidence in a medical practice.  Regarding their medical staff, the doctors and nurses are nice and competent and I do believe Dr. Klein and his coordinator Jenna tried to help me and my fiancé, but the entire practice or company more accurately, feels like a factory. You don't see your doctor during most or every visit, just whoever is available on that day. One visit, I had side effects from a medication that seemed unusual and the doctor I saw said she'd never encountered it, shrugged and didn't have anything to say other than "let us know if it gets worse or doesn't go away." I also had significant side effects both immediately after and weeks after my trigger medication that I was never warned about. Reddit subs were more helpful than RMA in these cases - it seems these side effects were all fairly common. If we try again, we might have considered continuing with RMA because finding and trying a new practice is full of it's own uncertainty and risks, but after this latest billing issue, never again. Every interaction with RMA on the billing/admin side has been infuriating, riddled with incompetence, and simply bad business. There are other options out there, save yourself the frustration and avoid RMA.

The only reason I'm giving it one star is because of the staffs kindness. But if I'm being honest, why even bother scheduling an appointment with the facility if you aren't going to be seen for 2+ hours after? I made an appointment for 2:20pm and wasn't seen until about 4:10pm. They close at 5pm. It didn't even give me enough time to truly troubleshoot & resolve my issues via calling (which also needs a serious update and give the option to speak to a representative faster instead of making 90% of tue responses AI...). The doctor I saw was polite, but definitely didn't listen when I told her about my concerns regarding switching a medication I was taking. Not only that, the doctor just completely gave me the wrong medication that I did not ask for. Unbelievable, especially when I explained three times in detail why I was choosing such a medication. I had my pharmacy and the patient representative send messages to please call me back urgently I have yet to receive a response. Maybe it is just this location, but for a first experience I am very disappointed. I wouldn't recommended this place to anyone unless you have no other options around you.

The lady that I first saw made me feel dumb because at the time I didn't have insurance and had to pay out of pocket, she kept saying "omg really no insurance omg". I had the money so I don't get why she kept saying this over and over, it made me feel very stupid. Then moving forward after paying, when I went to the next room. They let me know they could not do the procedure for me and that I could not get a refund. I understand why but just the way they spoke to me that day with no emotion, when this was hands down the most difficult day of my life. The way they spoke to me felt heartless. They were quick to rush me out of the office, writing down names of other doctors that might help me but no promises they kept saying to me and take care as they hurried me out the door. Recently I came here with a friend and there were different staff members but again not very patient or comforting with my friend. I'm glad I was able to go with her to provide support because she got none from the staff here. I get that maybe their immune to it because they deal with the same thing everyday but at the same time if you can't be empathetic toward the ladies and families coming in everyday, you need to not work here.

But I will not stop. Here is the original review. I wish I could give a nice review like most of the 41 reviews on here. However, there are negative reviews on here as well. Those negative reviews seem to be very detailed and specific. Those negative reviews all seem to share in common the idea that this practice is less than what it tries to pass itself off to be. The reviews comment on a uncaring staff and a lack of compassion. On the surface one would think that the minority negative reviews are just outliers. Unfortunately, that is not the case. My wife and I had the WORST experience imaginable today. Imagine our emotional states with Christmas around the corner and a decision to not have a baby for medical reasons. Here at this office we expected a certain level of empathy. We didn't get it. And without any apologies I can say, watching my wife doubled over in pain after her procedure, I lost my cool. You see I am a doctor myself. Sad to say today I lost all professional composure and was just an angry husband. Let's get to why. We arrived at 8 and sat there for over 2.5 hours. They of course made sure to collect money in advance, cheerfully I might add. She finally went in. About 40 minutes later I get a series of messages from my wife while she was still inside stating she was in extreme pain from the moment she came too and was scared that something was wrong. At that point I had full faith in the staff and reassured her via text. I assumed, incorrectly, that the pain issue would be addressed with an explanation. The surgical procedure can have complications. Well imagine my surprise as I saw my wife come to the waiting area in tears and doubled over in pain. Choking on her words she proceeded to explain to me that immediately after the procedure she was in excruciating pain and tried to alert the nurses but was completely ignored. That as she sat in the recovery room the staff wouldn't even acknowledge her as she was in hysterics over the pain she was in. She said she felt like a "ghost", no compassion, no empathy, completely ignored. Grossly unacceptable. So I went to the reception window. We were then led to the back. At this point I demanded to see the doc who did the procedure. And I was getting agitated. This woman, tall, blonde, introduced herself as the administrator. She said to me that my wife was cursing at her nurses. At that point I demonstrated what cursing is. They threatened to call the cops. We left. That administrator lied to my face. I have ran and worked in offices and hospitals. I was onto her instantly. They did not address the pain complaint appropriately. They were ready to let my wife go. And I called them out on it. And this not so sharp "administrator" actually thought that I would fall for the tactic of flipping accountability on to the patient. It's very easy to show shitty behavior and then hide behind titles and the pretense of a professional office. They DID NOT put their patient first. Had I not raised an objection and had I not had a knowledge of medicine they would have let her go. It makes me wonder how many other people deal with this nonsense and are bullied by them. There is no bedside manner. From what I saw and my wife described, this is a mill. Now I am sure blondie will read this. So this is for you dear - NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. Expect them to come calling. Furthermore we live in a social media driven society - your mill of a practice is about to become a news topic. And you personally leave a lot to be desired. You are by far the worst administrator I have seen. Lying about your patients and misrepresentation of facts is not appropriate. Your problem is you have never been called out on it by someone above your pay grade. To whoever is considering coming here: if you value your loved ones and their emotional and physical health, stay away from this practice and it's concentration camp administrator. And I make ZERO apologies for my behavior. I protect my wife. Maybe you should learn to protect your patients the same way.
