I thought long and hard about posting this review, and even waited until after the wedding to…read moreensure that my experience was accurate. From start to finish Lindsay was absolutely horrid. As someone who has experience in Bridal and Event planning, Lindsay gives all coordinators a horrible reputation. The first issue we had with her, was that she never answered inquiries. Our Bride was planning a destination wedding. She picked Lindsay as her coordinator because Lindsay had done a wedding at the destination resort the Bride selected. The bride also resides in Austin, so she thought it was a perfect match. Upon hiring Lindsay-- she literally did nothing. We provided her an excel sheet with all the guests info and asked that it be updated, since she was in fact the VERY WELL PAID coordinator. As the invites went out and people, including myself reached out to her, we began to realize the quotes she provided us were literally ONE HUNDRED PERCENT up-charged from the hotel. She quoted us $4,416.33 for a room for 3 people for 4 days. Upon calling the resort to understand what all these charges were for--and contacting "funjet" who she is a travel agent for... we found out she had chosen to make a profit by up-charging every single person ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. When the father of the bride contacted her and explained how embarrassingly unacceptable this was, she blatently lied and said she did not do that, but the resort "must be having some kind of sale" that she would "now honor". We finally got the room cost to the actual cost the hotel was charging, and at this point Lindsay pretty much stopped communicating with anyone who challenged her in any way with questions or concerns. I happened to be in Austin, TX when this issue arose, and the bride was in tears over the treatment she was receiving. She essentially did not reply to emails from the bride, her father, the bridesmaids or family. After multiple attempts to ensure payment was made, she actually charged 4 different people the wrong amount on their credit cards. She charged another bridesmaid for my portion of the room, and simply never responded when we notified her. As far as the excel sheet being updated with peoples travel information-- it was simply never done. She literally did not even work on this wedding, but charged upwards of $3,000 for her services. Emails that should have been sent to the guests with information regarding arrival, were never sent. We had to work hard internally as a wedding group to make sure everyone had the correct info. Upon arriving, many people who were charged for transportation to and from the airport, magically had no reservations. The resort themselves offered wedding planners, for free, since they booked a destination wedding. We would have been better off using them from day one to get everything done, as Lindsay again went radio silent upon the start of the wedding weekend. All in all, I would never recommend or trust someone who behaves in such an unethical and unprofessional manor. Lindsay does not take pride in her work, and does not have any compassion for the people she deals with. It was very disappointing to know the bride trusted and had full faith in Lindsay, and was mislead and made to look like a fool. If you want to have a successful, hardworking coordinator who you can trust with your big day, DO NOT HIRE LINDSAY.

I'll preface my review by saying I have no idea if the agent I worked with for my honeymoon worked…read morefrom this location, but I met her at the Cleveland IX Center bridal show in 2017. I'll also add that I'm one to understand that you often get what you pay for, so the fact that she was of no cost to me makes me think I would've received a lot better quality service had I paid an agent somewhere. My main reason for wanting to work with an agent was because neither my husband or I had ever left the country, so we wanted to make sure we knew what to expect with international travel and airports, customs, etc. First off, she sent me a basic questionnaire to gauge what kind of place and experience we wanted. We had Belize in mind because it came up on Google when we had searched "off the beaten path" honeymoons, but we were open to other options. After I turned in my survey, she sent me links to a bunch of Sandals resorts in Jamaica, the Dominican, etc that we're the complete opposite of what I filled out on the questionnaire. It was clear that the survey didn't really mean anything to her, if she even looked at it, and that she recommended the same basic resorts to her honeymoon customers. I reiterated that that was the opposite of what we wanted. After several days, she sent a few other options that were still Sandals-type all inclusives, but completely out of the price range I gave her, which she'd have known had she read our questionnaire. In the meantime, my fiancée and I had been talking and realized we really liked the idea of Belize and found a small resort that looked great so I sent her that info and asked if she had ever booked there and if not, if she could look into it for us and ask any questions of the resort that first time travelers might need to ask/know. It took her a week or two to respond and she said she never worked with that resort but things seemed appropriate, but she still sent me links to some other places to "make sure." We assumed she got commission from booking through certain resorts, hence her insistence on showing us places that did not match our wants at all. We said we wanted to move forward with Belize and after a few more emails and one phone call, she booked for us. After that, which was a good 7-8 months before the actual trip, we didn't communicate for a while. All of the other things she said she'd help us do on an appropriate timeline basically never would've happened without me first reaching out to her. Half the time, I'd get an automatic email response that she was "out of office" for the next several work days, which was interesting since she told me she mostly worked from home. When payments to the resort started being due, which we gave our credit card info for her to do, it was once again me reaching out to ask her to do it and sometimes it was days before I even got a response. She also told us she'd be tracking flights to find the best deal, but I was not hearing anything for a while so 3-4 months out I began keeping my own spreadsheet and tracking on my own before finally purchasing without her. She seemed unhappy that we did this without her. We also "miscommunicated" about travel insurance and had to go find another resource and do that on our own. As the trip got closer, I had basically already written the agent off as being the least bit helpful. I had to email a few weeks out and ask for last minute reminder info and I got a response several days later with PDFs of info I could've found online myself. The real last straw for me was that the package we got through the resort involved us landing at Belize International and being transported to a local small airport to board a little plane to the resort. About two months out, still plenty of time to make changes, we decided we wanted to do the van transport to our resort from BI so that we could see the land and culture on our way in. This involved an additional charge and I asked her to arrange this for us using the same credit card on the account. She never responded after several days so I finally called the resort and did it myself. A few days after that, she responded and said she'd do it, to which I said don't bother I already did it myself. After our trip, I never heard from her again. There was no follow-up directly from her, just automatic questionnaire emails from LoveShack directly. Luckily, our trip was amazing and there were no hiccups but in all honesty, it was in no way thanks to our agent. If I were to do international travel again on a more grand trip that would involve an extensive itinerary and therefore, a lot of help, I would definitely go to a paid agency to do so. LoveShack has left a terrible taste in my mouth as far as help with traveling. We could've done better on our own from our living room with Google as our agent.
