I met Dr. Kwon in the foyer of my condo complex and found out that we had the same last names and that he was a general practitioner. Looking for a doctor, I quickly made an appointment and jetted off to Silver Spring. Dr. Kwon's office was clean and quaint - lots of little old Korean ladies who hadn't quite caught on to the English craze here in America - but hey, it's a niche market and you have to cater to the customer if you're going to survive. Very friendly, gets back to you quickly, and doesn't talk down to you when you ask a question. I have kept him on (even though I've been using the VA medical center lately too) as my doc and will continue to go to him in the future.

Most are scared to give certain prescriptions but that is why they are there. I've been a patient of Dr. Reddy going back to about 1998 when Dr. Reddy took over a practice from a retiring doctor. I was 29 years old. Starting with our first few appointments, Dr. Reddy spent so much time to understand my current and past health, I was almost concerned I was his only patient. Of course I was not his only patient, that's just how Dr. Reddy works, and he works hard long hours. I'm a complex patient with a variety of health issues requiring many different specialists who have performed countless surgeries. Dr. Reddy has been indispensable with his specialist recommendations. Dr. Reddy talks to the other specialists involved in my care, so they all work together to develop a cohesive plan for my health care and to ensure no risks aren't understood and mitigated where possible. Fast forward to 2026 and now I'm 56 years old and in better health now than back in 1998. He has always given me honest to the point advice on how to improve my health and encouraged me as much as any professional can. He helped me set and meet goals. He also holds me to the fire when I could be making better choices. Dr. Reddy communication style is friendly and warm, inquisitive and compassionate. For whatever reason, probably because I was so distressed, I saw her two more times even though she repeated those cold words. The last time I saw her I had had bloodwork done and my chloesterol levels were alarmingly high and had gone up a shocking amount in very little time. She didn't even have the bloodwork results for the appointment, which was only intended to check labs. I had to call the results up on my phone. And when the appointment was "over" she was still talking to me but walking down the hallway. I was like, "Are we done?" Then I got a notice from LabCorps that my doctor had scheduled new bloodwork for me and I called the office to ask when I should recheck. Never got a call back. They also billed me in full, without running the visit through my insurance. I was to pay $348 for that stellar experience. They finally did run it through my insurance and the bill was reduced and I paid it and decided I will never go back there again. I have since seen a new PCP who is very impressive and my bloodwork returned with everything in the normal range, thank goodness!

They wanted me to wait come in for urinalysis and wait for 3 days for the results before they would provide me relief. In the past they have prescribed antibiotics for immediate relief before without a fuss. But the new practice has no qualms about having women patients suffer for a few days.
