Prospect Lake Community Hall is such an awesome venue for a wedding reception! They have everything…read moreyou need, included their big kitchen, tables, chairs, podium, arch, benches etc. We rented the chair covers, which I would recommend because the chairs aren't very pretty but they are VERY comfortable. The hall was a blank slate for us to decorate however we pleased and it looked wonderful when we were done! They have lots of hooks to hang things and you have full control of the lights so you can dim them to create a nice ambience. Their bathrooms are very clean and are a great size for larger events. Having the back room for the buffet was great so that the catering crew could cleanup without guests seeing them. Hiring their take-down crew was also well worth it. All around it was a great experience and I could see us throwing other parties here in the future! Highly recommended!

Christabel was incredibly accommodating and professional during the booking process. We wanted to the event to have a Hawaiian theme, but on a nonprofit budget, we couldn't afford a Pig Roast. Christabel created a menu that fit our budget and our theme. It was full of delicious creative takes on summer BBQ favourites, like a Yam and Potato Salad and Naturally Raised Porchetta Carvey served with Orange Cilantro Mojo. She also was ready with great alternatives for people with dietary restrictions. The onsite staff were friendly, punctual, and super accommodating. We were running a bit late in the program and they were flexible and kept the food piping hot. Thank-you Little Piggy for helping to make our event so memorable. People always laugh louder and smile bigger when their stomachs are happy!

There have been problems with instructors being no-shows for scheduled and pre-paid lessons with no advance notification. The instructors (who are very good teachers and lovely people) have been deeply apologetic on those occasions, but it has occurred several times and has required reimbursements of pre-paid tuition with the front office. In those cases, the front office has come across as defensive rather than supportive or solution oriented, and we've not felt positive about our experience with the conservatory or felt that our time or registration was valued.
