My mother was very specific on what she wanted: no product, a wash and a blow out. She came back with her hair matted, frizzy, and almost in tears. The stylist put MULTIPLE products in her hair after SPECIFICALLY ASKING NOT TO, and TEASED IT. There was no attempt to rectify her hair before she walked out practically in tears when the stylist had an ENTIRE EXTRA HOUR BLOCKED OFF. My mother had to wash her hair TWICE and she STILL has product gunked up in her hair as I am typing this. The manager/owner only tried to rectify the situation AFTER it was too late! HOURS after the fact! As a small business they should be ashamed. 1 star is too generous.

The wax-ists at the nail places tend to favor a thinner brow shape than I generally prefer for myself. I have naturally thick brows and what I'm really looking for is a cleaned-up version of my natural shape with the bushiness under control. It was thanks to Yelp that I found Cora. I liked the idea of going to an actual aesthetician since the goal was doing something a little nice for myself every 4-6 weeks. The salon space is small, really in the lower level of a building under a coffee shop. If it weren't for the sign out front I might have missed it. It's not that far from where I live so I'm not making my little ritual into a difficult errand. Cora is really nice and works with my schedule. I do a brow and lip wax and the price is really reasonable. I have gotten so many compliments on my eyebrows, including from people who either haven't seen me in years or don't normally notice eyebrows. Cora doesn't make them too thin or lop off the tail end on the left side like some of the other places were doing. I get to keep my "natural" look but look polished at the same time. I'm really glad I found this place.

Very good at distracting you from the waxing process and the space is calming and nicely decorated. I had never had hard wax used before, but I like it and she works great with it! She is very on point when it comes to appointments (schedule through an app that reminds you via text/email/etc.) which is handy when you're doing it several weeks out in advance. The location (since right in downtown MKE) gets a little bit difficult when it comes to parking sometimes, but is totally manageable. Will be a return client for quite a while!
