Tired and hungry from my travels, it came time to eat while en route to The Grand Canyon. Being the discerning foodie that I am, I took to Yelp to find something eclectic and critically acclaimed while passing through the booming cultural epicenter of Tuba City, AZ. So KFC it was. Upon entering the establishment, my senses were overcome with the smell of grease, sweat, and bad attitudes - Chicken too. There were children crying and wrestling on the floor and many frowning elderly watching me order, sit, and eat. Everyone seemed to be coughing for some reason as well. "Is this a hospice?" I thought. But no, this is KFC. My meal? Chicken cooked in grease with an extra dollop of grease, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. Served with a spork. The temperature of the food was "heat lamp warm" as if my food had been sitting overnight. Meh. If you come here, be sure your vaccinations are up to date and that you are scrubbed in. Positive: Restaurant was new and clean. Food was very good, KFC standard. Negative: Cashier/order taker was incredibly unpleasant. Spent five minutes in line not being acknowledged while she took directions from a fellow employee who was leaving after her shift. Cashier was unpleasant and acted like my ordering was disrupting her day (approximately 5pm on a Sunday with no one else in the restaurant. When my food was ready she just sat it on the counter and whooped for me to come get it. This means she yelled out "hey" to get my attention. Additionally, one of the cooks kept yelling about how the supervisor was sexually harassing him. read more

This location offers Online ordering and even promotes it. But they will make you get the order only through drive-thru. The manager hasn't gotten the idea that if you offer online ordering, you must offer in-store pick up or curbside pick up. the app states that my order was ready 10 minutes ago... yet here i am in line. do not use the app. just wait in freaking line and wait for the cashier to tell you that they're out of stuff as well. read more

I stop here whenever I'm in town for my mom. She loves the spicy hot wings. She loves wings period. So I guess it's once a week. The restaurant itself needs some upkeep. I'm afraid to eat at one of the tables because I never see anyone clean them off. On a few occasions, I had to address an issue with my order. Otherwise, this is as good as it gets. read more

Sound the horns for this KFC in Tuba City, AZ! Embarking on a long journey with a good friend en route to San Diego, we stumbled across this diamond in the rough at a time of great desperation. After making our way south through Moab, Utah, we felt the hunger grow increasingly strong as we barreled on in the desert night. Unsure exactly how many more hours lay ahead, off in the distance, there he was -- unveiling the promise of a warm meal and inviting atmosphere , Colonel Sanders and his fried chicken. Now I am not usually one for fast food, but this time it really hit the spot. My comrade and I both ordered famous bowls, a sort of KFC medley of flavors. The dish consists of a mashed potato bed topped with corn, fried chicken chunks, gravy, and cheese. These were exactly the savory flavors I craved after a long day on the road. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The food, fresh and prepared to order. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with local residents enjoying their evening meals -- laughing and smiling. The only downfall was the size of the water glasses. I know what you're thinking, who cares about the size of water glasses at a fast food restaurant? No one, really. SO, This is a unique review... Two reviews, one account. Dorothy- If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I do not know where to start. The food quality was really bad even for KFC it had been sitting forever and my chicken littles bun was as stale as stale could be. I threw away the bun and just ate the chicken, my potato wedges were stale and I threw most of them away as well. NOW LETS GET TO THE REAL MEAT AND POTATOES OF THE REVIEW! The customer service/ lack there of. The people at this location could not complete the most simple of arithmetic ! They messed up my order when I had clearly stated to the girl taking it 3 times what it was ( the entire time she looked at me like a bewildered antelope.) When I asked her to refund me the 1.50 difference between what I had ordered and what i was given she responded with confusion and attitude. She ended up having to get a SHIFT LEAD to complete the refund WHICH THEN TOOK BOTH OF THEM ABOUT 7 - 9 minutes to complete after they argued with me that only 1 dollar was owed to me since according to them " the chicken little was taxed" ...ALL THE ITEMS ARE TAXED LADY! I can not believe these people have jobs and they are my argument for why the minimum raise needs to be raised...BECAUSE THEY WILL CERTAINLY NEVER reach a higher station in life and need to be able to support themselves. Save yourself the hassle and eat some other incompetent fast food establishment in Tuba City. Alright now time for the other half of this review... Ryan- Wow...just...wow. If I could have punched my palm thru my skull during the witnessing of this entire ordeal I probably would still have more I.Q. points than the girl helping us. The lack of education and math skills was brain numbing. She was literally so in tune with her retardation she was actually making us question ourselves. Are we right? Are we doing the math correctly? It's amazing how someone so convinced of something make us question our facts. Regardless, the food was 2 out of 10, the service was Negative 5 and the wait time was over 20 minutes. KFC, Get your chicken together. Some of us have states to cross, cities to see, lives to live. Ive been here twice now and both times the food was good. Better than Phoenix locations. I suspect thats because they probably dont make food in bulk to sit under heat lamps here. While the food was good, my only complaint is that when i ordered a 12 piece strip bucket that is advertised as coming with 6 sauces, they only gave me 1. 1 doesn't go far. Unfortunately since it was a drive through order I didnt learn about this until I got home. It just wasn't worth the drive back for sauce. read more

Best KFC I've ever been to in my entire life. Was driving to the Grand Canyon when prompted to take the exit to Tuba City to get some grub. It was time to grace the Colonel with my presence. The establishment was clean and nice. Got very meaty Tenders, must be that home cookin' you simply don't get in the big city! Most amazing of all was the oil painting of the native american chiefs with the KFC restaurant in the middle of it. Really reflected the cultural aesthetic of Tuba City. Will be back. read more
