My favorite Prague restaurant was Baku Fast Food, located 100 or so meters near me. I first stopped…read morehere urgently needing a midnight snack, so I ordered pohaca and baklava. The baklava was thickly spiced with slight bitter notes, thick honey. It wasn't a dainty baklava. These are housemade, so they are slightly inconsistent day by day. The pohaca had great layered texture, some black sesame sprinkled on top, with a buttery burnt bottom and surprising feta inside. They specialize in Azerbaijani cuisine and offer several entrees and durum. One night I also enjoyed baklava, sekerpare, and bülbül yuvası. On my last visit, I made sure I was hungry enough to eat their durum. That was also quite good. I really wish I could return there right now.

It's since been upgraded and is quite nice. What a lovely McDonald's, with free wifi and bathrooms for 10 CZK (about US$0.40). It has a separate McCafé counter and the entire establishment boosts some nice modern design elements in keeping with current international trends. The interior is quite possibly the nicest McDo I've seen anywhere. There's even a counter with electrical outlets. The food is about standard for McDonald's, perhaps on the tastier side, but I might be biased because of the proud capitalist historical tradition of this particular one. As an American, I'm ambivalent about American global fast food chains but at least they seem to acquit themselves quite nicely. Bathrooms: Really nice. Modern aesthetic design with dark woods and those space-age oval thingies for urinals and touch-less faucets. Even eco-friendly, with one of those stick-hands-in blow dryer things.

I was very surprised with how good it was. I got the deluxe burrito with chicken and was surprised with how flavorful the chicken was. The food comes out really fast and is surprisingly good. Nothing to ride home about, but a good late night food option and not too bad for Mexican food in the Czech Republic. It tastes better than you'd think.

I add "tipsy" because this particular location is directly next to BeerGeek Bar. When you order, you'll see them prepare the food in front of you, which is always nice, and it's fast. If you show up later in the night, they may run out of chicken. I had the beef quesadilla in lieu of chicken, which was basically just beef and cheese in a fast-fried tortilla with sour cream and mild salsa sides. It was generally satiating, but I'm glad I also opted for a container of nachos and salsa. Try to eat it all in one night. By the next day, any leftovers are pretty meh.

So happy this place just opened! It's located right by the Krymska stop (tram 22, bus 135). Their…read moreoverall concept is street food, "Conductor- your street food maestro!" . According to the owner, the name pays homage to a famous Czech conductor who used to live in the building. Pages of his music are on the walls inside the small yet brightly lit space. This is a "take away" place as there is currently not any available seating, although you're more than welcome to eat there and sit on the little bench by the window. Food options are limited: beef stew with homemade bread, bbq pulled pork sandwiches, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, and a daily special. They also serve chai tea lattes, lemonades, and coffee. I've had the pulled pork sandwich and the cinnamon roll. The pulled pork is delicious!! Not the best I've ever had but the best I've had in Europe. Great flavor and all meat, no chunks of fat/gristle. It comes topped with a delicious coleslaw. I only wish there was more meat in the sandwich and would love if they offered a side of baked beans. Overall, I'm very happy to have found real, unpretentious bbq pulled pork in Prague. Yes, there are other American style bbq and burger spots in the city, but they seem to all be sit down restaurants that cost a bit more than a casual meaty sandwich should. Now onto the cinnamon rolls... If you only get one thing this should be it. It is so fluffy and sticky sweet with just the right amount of cinnamon. The cream cheese frosting/glaze is divine. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My only gripe is that they are not open in the mornings. I'd love to pop in for a cinnamon roll before heading off to work. I haven't had anything else yet, but my friend had the daily special (it was some sort of Thai pork belly dish) and he said it was amazing. The owner is really genuinely kind and I hope this place succeeds. He plans to expand food offerings once the place gets going a bit. This place is a great little addition to the neighborhood. **Update** Prices have increased by 10kč Cinnamon rolls are still amazing.

About half of the wrap selections are vegetarian or vegan. I think the menu items change sometimes, but we tried both the Mega Wrap and the Pav Bhaji and loved them. I happened to be staying around the corner from The Conductor, but it's definitely worth jumping on the 22 tram for. I liked it so much I grabbed a wrap for my 9 plus hour flight back to America.

This location was useful to me during my trip to Prague, due to it being located a short walk away from the Hilton Prague and as it is open until midnight local time. The interior is pretty much typical of any McDonald's, nothing too fancy or special, with the added McCafe area, which is my favourite part about McDonald's in Europe, which offers fresh coffee and pastries. Prices did seem in line with what I would pay back in the UK but with extra surcharges such as for lettuce on a burger, sachets of sauce or a gluten-free bun, these things add up and make it a little more pricey. The ordering process was simple with an English option on the ordering kiosks, and the staff members seemed friendly enough and were happy to say the order number in English. 3* - Average McDonald's by European standards, not my favourite MCD's in the city but very useful for those using the metro or nearby hotels.
