As an American, I have been to countless KFCs. In fact, my best friend from high school managed one for a time, so I know what KFC should taste like. The menu at this particular KFC is not it. KFC has made the mistake of introducing items on the menu, which would cause Col. Sanders to roll over in his grave and cry.
I thought I would keep it simple and just order 8 chicken strips. I was asked if I wanted a sauce with it, and why not, otherwise the chicken strips alone would likely be too dry, especially as I was not ordering a drink. I was charged for the BBQ sauce (ranch or other typically KFC sauces were not available). I do no understand the point of charging for a sauce, particularly when the sauce is so small. For 8 pieces of chicken, I would had to have ordered between 6-8 sauces (8 czech crowns each).
The worst part was the chicken. I have never had such boring, tasteless chicken in my entire life. The appearance is fine, but it lacks anything resembling spice or an "original recipe." I had one piece with my one packet of BBQ sauce and called it quits. I asked for another sauce and was informed that I would be charged, so I left and gave the remaining 7 pieces to a homeless guy at the entrance to the nearby subway. I hope he enjoyed it more than I did.
I learned my lesson, avoid KFC outside of America. read more
