I rarely come here, but I do enjoy it when the mood strikes. Unfortunately my last two visits left alot to be desired. About a month ago, service was quite slow and the wait for food ended up being about 40 minutes. Only 1 or 2 other customers during our time there. To their credit, they made up for it that time with a free dessert. Figured it was an off night, so decided to give them another shot yesterday. The five-piece special looked like a good deal, so I ordered via mobile. When I got to the window, I was abruptly told they were out of chicken breasts, though I would have appreciated an apology for the inconvenience. I asked what alternatives were available and was offered chicken legs or wings. I went with the legs as the closest substitute. Figured they thrown in an extra piece to help comp the value. Nope. Only received three chicken legs to replace the three chicken breasts they didn't have. In KFC terms, you know that is a steep drop in value. To add to the disappointment, the order was also short a biscuit and light on sides. Between the two visits, there have been some real gaps in service, order accuracy, and value. Placed an order on line for an extra crispy meal on the kfc app. Went to pick up food and was told it wasn't quite ready. Waited about 15 minutes. My phone showed the order was ready. No one was at the counter. Some staff was in the back and another who saw me was on his phone motioned to wait. After waiting for him to finish his call I told him my order was ready according to my phone. He checked and asked if I had ordered extra crispy chicken. I said yes. That when I was told they had not had any extras crispy all day. So after ordering on line and waiting in the restaurant a lengthy time I learned they could fill my order. So being hungry and having my hungry partner waiting at home I settled for their regular chicken. A couple of minutes later I arrived with soggy salty chicken. Besides informing me they didn't have extra crispy chicken they sold an extremely salty mea - the chicken was extra salty , the fries were too salty to eat and even the biscuits were salty. Visit: 7/15/2025 Ordered via Drive Through: 2 Classic Chicken Sandwich Meals with Fries with drinks and a 3pc Chicken Tender Meal with Mac&Cheese with a drink. Drinks were provided at Drive Through Window. We were asked to pull forward to await our order to be forthcoming. After some time had passed with not being in receipt of my order, I went inside with receipt. They seemed to have forgotten completely about my order. People were being processed through the Drive Through without having to pull forward to await any part of their order. I proceeded to wait more time even inside the restaurant. During which time, I saw other persons coming in to pick up mobile orders that weren't ready, front cash registers were "closed", staff used drive through register to process indoor patron payments, young lady working front and cleaning seemed clueless and not present, manager seemed to mostly be out of sight. In all my order took 30-40 minutes to be received even from this originating as being a drive through order. The manager did provide, in addition, as free classic chicken sandwich + fries; however, that still has me/us not planning on returning for the foreseeable future. This location used to be quite efficient dependent on the "on-top-of-things employee" was there. He seems to no longer work there. Sad! Easy. Tasty. Convenient. Three very important components that make a fast food restaurant work. I didn't mention cost because everything is priced a bit higher in the recent years. This KFC location is in my Perry Hall neighborhood. I go every once in a while. I honestly never had an issue when I take a trip here. I went recently to get a quick dinner after work. I was hungry and did not feel like cooking. I utilized the KFC app. It's cool and gives you an opportunity to catch a deal or two that would probably not be available on the regular menu. Anyhoo, I placed my order and set pick up for an approximate time (I had to stop at the grocery store beforehand). When I arrived, I went in the drive through. Now this is where the things got a little tricky. When you order on the app, you MUST go inside. I thought that was a bit annoying, but I followed the rules and left the drive through, parked and went inside. I have my own reasoning of why, but it still doesn't make 100% sense. This location (and probably most of the other locations) is pretty outdated. Decently clean, but has a late 80's, early 90's feel to it. The food is pretty much bagged up and waiting for pick up in this little waiting/warming contraption. You kinda just check to make sure your name is on the receipt on the bag and go. The workers don't really check, but KFC doesn't have a lot of foot traffic, so they probably don't feel the need to make sure that you're not taking someone else's food. I ordered a two piece white meat original meal with three sides- I was hungry! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! I mean, it's good for home style fast food ya know? KFC's Cole slaw is always fresh and delish & I honestly cannot name anyone else's that's better. The mac & cheese is creamy, simple and yummy. The mashed potatoes were smooth and comforting. The biscuit was cool- sometimes, you have to warm their biscuits up a bit, but once you dip it into those potatoes...whooo! So tasty! I know this was a lengthy review on KFC, but I thought I'd share my experience. I know many fast food spots don't have the greatest reputation, but sometimes, they do hit the mark when it comes to portion, taste and quality. Four solid stars! read more

It's chicken, fried the way a Kentucky gentleman might do. It's 13 herbs and spices, a recipe that pretends to be secret, but can be found all over the internet (yes, the Colonel's secret is out). What I'm saying is: this place is nothing special. BUT, it doesn't need to be. The classic KFC items are what I want sometimes. The chicken tender meal with corn and mashed potatoes hits the spot when the craving comes crawling into my brain meat. I always go through the drive thru here and I have never really waited. I will never understand how this Kentucky Fried Chicken never has chicken. The item is in the name. When they do have chicken the wait is 15-30 minutes. They need to tape a sign up letting customers know what is in stock. I asked for wings, they were out. I asked for another piece there was a wait, instead of waiting all day I asked for strips. I get to the window and they realized they only had two strips available so I had to wait 20 minutes. Then they forgot the sauce. I don't know if they are keeping the chicken for themselves or just ordering low inventory but this place needs to close down. It's the same issue every time! I went inside to order my food and asked for a 16pc mixed with original and the breast crispy because it was an 18min wait on original breast. The workers were awesome and very polite but never gave me my original chicken that I asked for. I am upset but I've seen worst and mistakes happen sometimes. I'd been thinking about KFC all day, everyone in my house likes Popeyes but after finding one about 7 mikes from my house I was disappointed. There was no crispy chicken and we didn't get any jelly with our 8 biscuits now how you gonna give a brotha biscuits with no jelly? Every single time I go to this KFC in the drive-through, I'm told to go park out front and someone will eventually bring my order to me. One time, that wait was for as long as 15 minutes. I decided to give them one more try today. When I got to the window to pay, she told me that it would take a while for fries, would I like a different side order instead? I chose an alternative, thinking I would finally get in and out of there quickly. Nope. To my astonishment, I was STILL instructed to park by the curb and wait. I was soon accompanied by two more cars. One lady got disgusted and left. The whole point of fast food is that it's supposed to be fast. It's certainly not for the nutritional value. I don't know why this KFC can't manage to provide food on a timely basis, something virtually every other KFC franchise manages to do. This review focuses on the highly publicized waffles (and chicken) on limited run at KFC. I was so enticed by the KFC chicken and waffles commercial that I asked the hubby to get me some from our neighborhood KFC in Perry Hall.. He got me the 3-pc with 2 waffles. The chicken was your usual KFC- nothing to rave nor rant about. But the waffles were a different story. The minute I held one, grease was literally oozing from it. I had to blot the oil with three pieces of napkin- yes, three, and yet there was still too much oil left. Frustrated with my oil-mopping operation, I bit into the still-greasy waffle and found it a little on the sweet side. The textures was similar to packaged waffles as I guess it should, it is fastfood after all. But what really did me in was its greasiness. The experience was so disapponting that I felt betrayed, like a lover hoping for romance to bloom, only to be awakened by a slap on the face. "Your craving was for nothing, you grease monster, you," shreiked the voice in my head. Right then and there, I promised to never ever buy any KFC item with waffles again. Final judgment? The KFC waffles were too greasy for comfort, "packaged" in texture, and underwhelming in taste. I am glad it is available only for a limited time. (As an afterthought, I wondered if it is just this branch.. Anyone with a better experience with the chicken and waffles at KFC? I stopped by tonight, because I was in a hurry, and they told me that everything ordered after 8 PM is made to order. This place is terrible. I am usually a bit nicer when leaving a review, but I feel that that would be doing a huge disservice to anyone who might see this review. This place is awful. My husband and I don't eat at KFC often and I seriously regret choosing to eat here tonight. We pulled up to the drive thru speaker and there was sign taped to the menu saying that the speaker was broken and that we should pull up to the window. We pull up to the window and I inquire about their barbecue wings. The employee tells me that they don't have them. Since we were no longer in front of the menu and I had no back up meal in mind, we decided to go into the restaurant so I could look at the menu again. While walking into the restaurant I noticed the manager gossiping loudly with another staff member, whatever no biggie as long as the food is edible right? Nope. As I enter through the doors I'm greeted by super sticky floors, weird lighting, and tons of bugs and flies every where. So against better judgement we walk up and place an order. I tried to explain that every KFC I have ever been to uses hot wings to make their barbecue wings, but they didn't understand. So she proceeded to suggest that I just get their original fried chicken and have them toss it in barbecue sauce. At this point I was just like whatever, it's 8:15pm and I'm hungry. The cashier returned about two mins into preparing the meal to tell us that she only has crispy chicken. Once again, fine, whatever. My husband ordered sweet tea and the sweet tea was out and surrounded by tons of spilled tea. Maybe that's where the sweet tea went. While we're waiting, I'm swatting flies and gnats away from me and avoiding the super sticky areas near the counter. I'm watching them pull biscuits, mashed potatoes, and chicken out of paper buckets in a make shift warming area. What a mess. There's an employee in the back but within eyesight from the counter, mopping and rapping out loud, really loudly to a song. As they are finishing with our food (everyone that works here has a super lackadaisical way of doing things so our order literally took like ten mins) a man comes inside and asks to speak to a manager. They hand over our food and ask if that was everything we ordered. I notice that they literally left out half of my meal (mashed potatoes and a biscuit). The staff member walks slowly over to the make shift warming area and pulls the two items out. The chicken was dehydrated looking and had a super dry texture to it. Not much good going on here... The restaurant was kinda of nasty. Greasy floors in the restaurant area, dirty bathrooms, stale food and broken AC. KFC has really falling off... Staff was pleasant and generally helpful. Maybe its just this location, but I think I'll stick to Popeyes. read more
