8:40 we pull up, they close at 9, we wanted to order 2 of the new chizza's, were told we can only have one because two would take too long. Upon pulling off after we got our one Chizza we hear an employee speaking rudely to a customer who had been waiting before we even pulled up. Being very sarcastic and snippy with her. Absolutely the worst service EVER. In any place we have ever been. We stood at the counter while the folks working ignored us for at least 10 minutes. The lady in front of us walked out. I spoke up and said "excuse me, are you guys serving dine in?". The woman says yes we will be right there. Another woman is leaning up against the drive through cash register doing nothing and won't even look at us. We decide after at least another 10 minutes ok we are leaving. We go to leave and the woman yells "ok ok I'm coming right now!" I turned around and told her no thanks we have been ignored long enough we will go somewhere else. She says "well I was doing an audit back here". Worst ever. At least acknowledge your customers, say hey sorry for the wait we will be right with you, SOMETHING. Sheesh. Horrible serve, ordered a 5 pc. Tender box -total 8.08 okay......pull up to window. The girl says we only have 4 tenders ( I said that will be fine.) Being that we had time to wait behind another car, I scrounged around and had exact change. She hands my hubby the bag and NO MONEY back. I said is 4 PCs. the same price as 5, she then says I never gave her $8.08 saying you only gave me $6 ( we can count quite well). Manager backs her story up ( and she wasn't even there to see. This review is for the location, not the food. Unless it's undercooked, KFC food taste the same at every location. Yhis one here in Mentor-on-the-Lake is one of the rudest and unprofessional group I've ever encountered. The manager is leading the pack instead of setting a better example. Ordered 2 chicken bowls, spicy. What I got was the plain chicken which was stringy and sick looking. Can't the workers correctly read what I ordered? They couldn't get an order right when it was just two of the same. KFC needs to hire employees that have pride in their job and not flighty young ones. I have had messed up orders and meals that were delivered cold and meals just thrown together from the Mentor-on-the-Lake store. I will never order from that store again and it's sad because that is the only KFC that delivers to my home. When I saw my order was wrong I got on the phone but that store would not answer, I kept calling and eventually they hung up the phone. I went to send a complaint on line but I couldn't finish it as they needed info from my receipt and they gave me a receipt that had not one piece of info they needed so my complaint to corporate never went through. I am 75 yrs old and just threw away $21 as I threw the 2 bowls away. They need to revamp that location and fire the incompetent workers. Last time I went to this KFC they ran out of chicken. Today I tried putting through a DoorDash order and it was canceled by the restaurant after 10 minutes. I tried calling the restaurant 3 times and no one answered. The Manager of this store needs to pay more attention to their customers. You are losing a lot of business. Not a good experience. First, at the drive thru, they had an automated message touting extra crispy spicy chicken. Cool, I'll try that. Wrong. An employee came on and said they didn't sell it! What's the point of the message if you don't sell that particular item??!! So, I ordered a bucket of original recipe. I asked for all white meat and said I was ok with paying extra. Employee said they couldn't substitute. What? I always pay to substitute! I asked if they were just low on white meat and they said no, they just can't substitute. Ridiculous. The chicken that I did get was dry. Not very good. Sorry, KFC, I'll be taking my business to Mr. Chicken from now on. May be a little further out of my way, but it's cheaper and I never have an issue asking for all white meat. read more

9/26/18 ORDERED: Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders Meal, $5 Box Breast Meal, Small Side of Coleslaw VERDICT: Delicious food, unappetizing staff.. Did not get either coleslaw, one with the Nashville Hot Meal. Had to pay for another coleslaw!! Was told I did not know how to read (no joke!!). She blamed, insulted, & spoke down to me. Told me to move up because the next customer's order was ready, so I had to wait for what should have come with my meals, while my food got cold. Same "woman" didn't bring the right stuff to my car, then literally walked away while I was speaking to her!! Had to go inside while my food got even colder. RECOMMENDATIONS: Unless you have an unwavering constitution, I would skip this KFC location all together. If you're really craving KFC, save yourself the hassle and headache you get from this specific restaurant and use the time you'd spend trying to get what you ordered driving to the next nearest KFC.. How can you possibly have an appetite when the "woman" at the window should not be allowed to take an order, let alone ever deal with living people in ANY occupation..? Like the other reviewer, multiple times I've sat and waited and waited to place my order just for them to tell me they're out and it will take 10 minutes, sometimes longer. This is AT LEAST an hour before closing.. I've learned my lesson about coming here even 30 minutes til closing as they literally are out of everything except extra crispy dark meat and won't be making more. There are a few people that should have been fired long ago. Yet there are also a few that are exactly who you'd hope to deal with, anywhere, throughout your day. Unfortunately, the risk of having to put up with the ones that just shouldn't be working with customers outnumber the good ones. I really can't remember the last time I ordered something here and got everything that came with the meal. Couple that with the attitude and BEYOND RUDE things these employees obviously CAN say because they are still working there, and I am just done. I stopped on Sunday Afternoon around 3:30 and after I ordered and pulled to the window I was told they were out of coke slaw. I chose a substitute side of corn. When I opened the box at home I found the chicken was almost burnt and the corn tasted old. No biscuit was included. Very poor and should have suspected a problem when it looked deserted. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The service is atrocious! The absolute worst I've ever seen in my life!!! If I would have read the other reviews I wouldn't have even stopped here. Their systems were down so myself and several other cars pulled to the side to leave. There is a light post that made it impossible to get around. We asked the driver and the workers to have the car at the window pull forward so we could all get out. They refused to move and when I finally decided to try and squeeze my vehicle through the workers said I hope you hit his car and you have insurance. Mind blown by the ignorance! My vehicle costs more than your entire establishment! The driver and workers said we were harassing them once we were all honking asking him to just move up. Unbelievable. My nephew went to this KFC to buy three number five $5 fill ups. He made the mistake of asking for three two piece meals. They did not ask if he meant the similar named but much better deal. We were extremely disappointed with not getting what we wanted and spending $8 more than we planned. The biscuit was good but we were surprised that there was no honey or butter included. I clearly remember that being something that was included with a meal that included cornbread or a biscuit. I would expect that anyone ordering the #5fill or the 2 piece would be asked if that is what they really want. Though I'm not surprised when not asking gets them an extra eight dollars. read more
