The staff does seem nice though and they do keep the dining area picked up and neat. Both burgers only had extra cheese on them. No onions, no ketchup, no mustard. On top of that, the burgers were cold, like they'd been sitting around for a while. The fries were also cold and completely unsalted, which somehow makes them worse than just being cold. I'm not expecting gourmet food from McDonald's, but I do expect the order to be correct and at least hot. This was neither. Pretty disappointing experience overall.

My advice: don't get the pickles & double check your order before leaving.

My husband and I were both surprised by the extensive menu, generous portions, and affordable prices. A lot of things were fairly salty, and we didn't see much of the waitstaff, but the decor was nice, the bathrooms were clean, and the food hit the spot. If we ever end up on that random route again to avoid Chicago traffic, I'd like to return to George's!
