Lucky and Pep's has luckily escape these stereotypes and become what all pizza places should endeavour to be - a geniune gourmet pizza experience. Originating in Newport, the brand has expanded to include a Forestville shop, to the delight of those in the Forest area. The flavours are real, the ingredients are fresh and the bases taste as you'd like pizza bases to taste - no cardboard sensation, no overdose of bread. Happy days. Personal favourites include the Caprice, Four Seasons and Mexican; although not a vegetarian, I am always happy to sit down and enjoy a Vegetarian option. However, Crust isn't the perfect pizza experience - it is my personal belief that pizza experiences should be available to punters in the suburbs all hours of the night (or at least until 10pm), which Lucky and Pep's sadly disappointed me on. «Sorry.... try Pizza Hut?» Opening hours that fail to cater for twenty something year old alcoholics aside, delivery is always prompt and polite. Although not the cheapest pizza option in the market, the discernibly gourmet taste of Luck and Pep's more than makes it worthwhile.

The atmosphere was exactly what you'd want from a traditional sports bar -- plenty of screens, cold beer flowing, and a lively crowd getting into the action. We ordered wings and beer, while we watched the game. The wings were noticeably tiny by American standards, but they were cooked really well.

We asked about to go and were told that we had to order off the regular menu. Ok, no problem but are the wings the same as the special wings of the day. We were informed they were. We said "good we like small ones!" We paid, received our bag and left. When we arrive back at our place we opened up our boxes. No celery included. Then there were the wings. They were almost the size of baby turkey wings and totally soggy. So much for excitement of 2 orders of hot wings that didn't happen. Service was good. The place had a good number of customers seeming to be very happy. Just not happy with my order as we were told it would be. Our fault for not opening the food containers before we left. Recommend one eat at the restaurant versus take away.
