I asked for a vegetarian option and they gave me a burger. I really enjoyed it and came back another time for the same thing. When I was told they don't have anything vegetarian I got just a bit upset... (What did I eat last time??) This time I came here with my friend who is a KFC-fan and I gave it another chance. The food tasted ok but the presentation of the food was just not inviting and when I asked for Ketchup I got 1 little sachet. When I came back after 2 minutes to ask for more I got another small sachet. Really?? I mean a bit more wouldn't be the world and would have added some stars to this review... Bernard is the epitome of excellent customer service and when he is on duty, you are guaranteed hot, just cooked chicken and chips. This KFC is the benchmark for me when it comes to how fast food places could be run. I've been to this particular location twice, as its very close to my house. Both times I went there with my family, customer service was so bad, we actually never even got seated. The first visit, we got were luck enough to get a hello and were told it would be a 20minute wait even though the Resturant was half empty and most tables were unoccupied. We were all too hungry to wait 20mins to be seated, so we went to Honest Burger instead. On the second visit, we were again a party of 5 (Three kids aged 7 to 13, husband and I) and things had actually gone further downhill. The Resturant was pretty empty, the host was walking around, passed us a couple of times without a "hello". A waiter also passed us a couple of times without a hello. After waiting for about 10mins and not receiving any greetings, acknowledgment or even information on waiting times, we decided to leave. Needless to say, I will no longer be visiting this particular Nando's and will advise my neighbors to continue visiting the one on Hammersmith Broadway.

My friend got the chips and they turned out amazing with the peri peri sauces (the wild herb peri peri). And the only downside is that I prefer Pepsi, but they only had coke. All together, a decent experience and if I fancy chicken and don't feel like having shish kebab, or Persian kabab, I'll go for the Nando's chicken :) It's a 3.5 star for me, because I'm just not so much into fast food or chains but it's just a personal preference, and Nando's still a really nice place. And one great thing about them is that you can get a nice beer from Mozambique (or other alcoholic drinks with your meal)

The head waiter said he can verbally ask the kitchen to do a breast for me but at the end I got a thigh. I didn't want to make a fuss and wait for a breast so I ate the 1/4 chicken thigh that was super small. I highly urge anyone considering this to get 1/2 chicken. The peas was nothing to write home about and I would avoid next time. I also got the broccolini which were delish. The chips were different and nothing special and I am glad I got a small size as it was enough for the 3 of us to try. My wife got the Caesar salad with chicken breast. I don't thrill she was very happy with it and it didn't look particularly appetizing. My son was happy with his double breast meal. By the time I had finished eating, a big ol blattaria had taken up residence, and was even charging a Pound for a squirt of Jean Paul Gaultier and a stick of Wrigleys! A rare sight in England, the old cockroach. I'm used to it in Africa or America. But then I guess Shepherds Bush is a multicultural hotspot... So we should not preclude species nor races. Most of the time I get the Hot 30 bucket but on some occasions I do eat the spiced strips and to be honest the wasn't even a single time when the food wasn't perfectly prepared. The staff there is really fast and the overall service is great but you don't really expect anything less from a well established company such as KFC .
