There were only 4 other tables occupied at the time and a number was given to us by the cashier. Shortly after we sat down, the cashier was walking around with two trays of food asking each table if that's what they ordered. Everyone said no, so she walked around asking each table what they ordered. I thought that was the purpose of the assigned numbers, maybe my understanding is wrong.
