Actual equipment was ok, a bit willy-nilly jumbled up and crowded together though, and the general vibe perhaps as a result of the architecture was somewhat cold and impersonal despite the small-town locale. I was relieved to see that they did have at least two Keiser stationary bikes, which are increasingly rare these days as most gyms get suckered into the big lumbering fancy LOOKING bikes with the flashy screens and video-game simulations, that have lousy ergonomics making you feel like you're pedaling a toy not a real bike. They do have some Concept rowers at least, which is a good sign. Overall I'd say it's a fairly decent Y except for the sauna, which was sorely disappointing in that despite being brand new looking and quite pleasant/spacious, was being run at some geriatric 150-160 degrees tops. Oh and they close way the hell too early on weekends: 5pm on Saturday, 4pm on Sunday. Only slightly less lousy than my home Y in Cambridge (4pm both days). Argh!

I called Sherri on Monday about 9 am and it all dropped off to her by 11am. She was very friendly and is looking to help as many people as she can. The closest I brought her were in excellent condition, if you know of any woman that need clothes please seek her out she has not only woman's clothes but clothes for men and children. Let's not make the business's that sell any richer and let's help spread kindness by helping with just what have for resources and from the kindness of our hearts. Please help her get her goods to homes that are in need.

They also have a free haunted house called Spookville operating weekends in October. Friday and Saturday night they have your traditional haunt, but on Sundays during the day, it is sensory friendly for kids and scaredy cat adults who at least would like to see what is inside a hunted house without creepy scary jumping out characters. Great people, excellent nonprofit and Fantastic service for families trying to give kids a good time when money is stretched thin!!!

if your kid has high functioning autism this place is probably fine. if your child has low…read morefunctioning autism like mine and you love your child keep them as far from this place as possible. they never kept a single promise to my family, traumatized my son, lied to us, and discriminated against us for being from a lower income backround. they also sent us to hampstead.Also involved in this decision was a crisi counselor from St joes on mainstreet who every word out of his mouth was lie. hampstead is an awful open psych ward with kids anywhere from 8-17 all together on an open ward with shit on the floor and no supervision, privacy, or just any quality of life in general. hampstead is sold to parents as the best option for kids in serious need in nh but its a lie. if hampstead and gateways are all nh has to offer its special needs kids nh should be ashamed. deeply ashamed. i say this with my whole heart i hate you for what you did to my son and i hope everyday for the rest of your lives is worse then the day before. i curse you with it. even if you leve your current role i hope what you did to kids like my son follows you from now for as long as any part of you lasts mind soul and body.
