Locals Only Mobile Detailing - Damaged Lettering!

I would recommend this company to any ! Very professional, hard working and communicates very well…read more. You can see the quality of the work is valued as there is a desire to go above and beyond !

The owner, Mr. Emilio Perez, detailed our 2008 26' Bluewater. He was too aggressive on polishing…read moreand ruined the graphic and registration numbers on the boat, both sides! I get it, things happen but it's how you deal with it that matters. When I pointed it out to him, he stated it was like that, which was not the case since I had just replaced the graphics and the registration numbers two years earlier so I'm well aware of their condition, which I explained to him. After all, it is my boat so I know it's condition. He then stated he "had a guy who would take care of it at his expense, no problem" and continued to brag how "replacing the lettering was the 'right thing to do' [to preserve the relationship]". He put my phone number in his phone and said he'd be in touch, so I waited. A week went by and nothing so I texted him, no response. Another week went by and I checked in again via text. This time he responded; in short, he tried to blame the age of the boat, stating we didn't take care of it, which was completely false because we have it polished and waxed every year and again the graphics were only two years old and the former detailer didn't have any issues, so Mr. Perez doesn't know what he's talking about. He flat out told me he wasn't going to pay to have the lettering replaced. The graphics alone are $150, plus the cost of removing and replacing the damages ones, which will be at least another $100, so now I'm out at least another $250. He not only lied to me but is a very unethical business person. He overcharged for the work he performed. He gets a flat fee of $28/foot, which would normally be okay, but he wasn't even working on it for four hours so the value for what you are actually getting is very poor and the results should have been much better if he put in a valiant effort. In essence, he only likes working on new shiny boats so that the work is easy and there isn't anything to it. I would never do business with him again and advise others against it as well. If I could have left zero stars in the review, I would have. Everyone has a right to make a living but providing poor customer service and lying to a client for whom could have been a repeat client and one who could have referred him to others, is NOT the way to do it. He clearly has no understanding how businesses and referrals work and how one $250 mistake that he failed to correct, will cost him much more.
